On this edition of the Ninja Tune podcast we hear from Actress, the man behind the incredible album ‘AZD’, released earlier this year on Ninja Tune. Discussing influences ranging from Solange to The Bellville Three, we hear on topics including politics and gender in electronic music, “chaos magic theory” and going missing in the Congo for 24 hrs. Along the way Actress selects some of the tracks that have influenced his musical path, such as In Crowd’s ‘Back Yard’ and Audrey Hall’s ‘Our Dance Won’t Do’.
