It's Night Side with Dan Raybs. Thanks Al. We were talking about the fallout from the attempt at assassination of president former President Donald Trump. Now it's about eleven days ago. Seems so much has happened in the last eleven days, but just an incredible sequence of events culminated. Well it didn't culminate, but certainly the latest was the resignation today of the Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheetle. And my question on that one, Frankly, is what took so
long. I mean, she should have been out two days later. But that's fine. Let's get to the bottom of it. I want a complete Warren Commission type report, but I wanted to be clearer, cleaner, quicker, and more thorough. That's not asking a lot, it's joining the conversation. Let's go right to Carol in Easton. Carroll, appreciate your patience, Thanks for holding on. You're next on Nightside. Hello again. I just
have a couple of quick comments. Sure, I was watching TV at the time of this all happened, so I saw it right right after it have you know, within a minute when they replayed it, somebody was interviewing somebody else and they said who was Why wasn't somebody on the roof, And they said, uh, there's a preset perimeter when there is you know, some any kind of any kind of a yeah, it was. To get inside the perimeter, you have to go through the magnometers, the metal detectors.
Okay, well, and so that's what establishes the perimeter and the building. Although it was only one hundred and fifty yards and as you know, as John so aptly described last hour, it's about that. It's about the distance from homeplate today at center field at Fenway Park, you hit a home run into the dead center field stands. Uh, it's not that, it's it's it's far for baseball. It's not far for for a rifle with a scope.
Okay. Well, anyway, the person said that that had been a precess uh perimeter around where truck was going to be, and that the security was under under uh being taken care of by three departments. So Secret Service, FBI and the local authorities. And the local authorities are the ones that had the perimeter where the building was, and there was nobody there. Well, so well that let me let me let me just let me just based upon what I know Okay, yeah, let me just let me just explain
something. The FBI, rather the Secret Service, their role is to protect the protectee, whether it's the president or the first Lady, or former president or presidential candidate or Robert F. Kennedy Junior. Okay. Now, they seek the support and they always get the support of local police and the local authorities, whether it's state police, local town police, or whatever. They can handle things like traffic and all of that which is outside the perimeter.
The question is, why was that building, which was only about four hundred and fifty feet from the president from where the president was speaking, why was that not covered? Why was there not someone assigned to make sure that there was no one up there on the roof. In this case, it turned out to be a young kid with a roof and a rifle who killed one man, badly wounded two others, and came within inches of taking out the
President of the United States on live television. Right. I'm not disputing any of that. I was just making the comments as to repeating what the gentleman said who was being interviewed after the attempted assassination, and that was the fact that it was the local police that were given the building area and that the Secret Service and extra Secret Service people were inside that building. Now, don't
waste there's no evidence that there were Secret Service people inside that building. If there were Secret Service people inside that building and this guy was up on the roof of that building firing at the President, we would know that by now. I do not believe. I think there were some reports that there might have been local police who were inside the building because it was hot out, but that has a I've heard reports of that, that's not confirmed. You
know, let's let's deal with it. The point is that Secret Service is the one who establishes the perimeter, okay, and Secret Service should have looked at that building and said that building either should be in the perimeter, or we should have a Secret Service agent on top of that building or someone on top of that building, because that is a clear and present threat. That's
what I That's what my argument is. Okay, wherever they want to establish the perimeter, they established, but they also have to look beyond the perimeter, uh and say what other vulnerabilities do we see beyond the perimeter? Yeah, that's all I'm saying. Oh, I agree, I just was saying I don't know who it was and whether he was speaking from any authority that
things had been let go to give local police right. And that's why we need a complete, a complete and thorough investigation, so that the points that I've raised, all right can either be proven to be true or false, and the point and the questions you do you've raised can be answered absolutely. Yeah, fuck, I know, I fully agree. I was watching Channel five and I didn't know with your connections or whatever. If you can get a review of what they broadcast that afternoon. It was not ours like six
or seven o'clock at night. Well I'm talking about I think it was somewhere around one one fifteen. Yeah, you would have had network television coverage. There would have been network television coverage. Yeah, yeah, but when they broke into our local coverage. Gotcha, all right, Carol, I get everything you say, and I gotta I gotta break here. Basically, they were candidates who who could have announced, but they all chose not to.

yes, I did hear that. Yeah. Well, I just want to kind of follow through. It's good news if she's right, and if this is a phony setup, well, you know, it'll be great when that family is reunited with the firefighter from Western Pennsylvania, and those other two people who are in you know, serious but stable condition will finally be able to walk out of that hospital. And you know, well, I think she was listening to MSNB too much. Ms whatever they called charge from the teleprompter.
But they didn't explain why people in the back got shot and killed. So yeah, yeah, yeah, no, yeah, no, they there were people that day. As a matter of fact, they were reports that day that said an apparent assassination attempt. Really but a parent, yeah, was a parent. You know. As a matter of fact, I remember when the planes crashed into the towers in New York City of nine to eleven. Apparent plane crash is into the towers and apparently both towers have collapsed.
Were still working to confirm that, I mean exactly exactly. Well, the first film was questionable. The second one in Masa, Oh no, you know, so, I mean that was different. That's that's apples and oranges. But yes, I did hear her commentary, and you know, you deal with this every night as a professional radio tacos. So yeah, it was a little out there. But you know, people can express their opinions.
So when I when I first moved to Southwest Florida from Holla, Massachusetts in twenty nineteen, my first friend, I bought a palm tree off him, bought it up of Facebook, and he became my friend. He's very, very conservative, a few years older than me, late sixties and from southern California. The palm tree in your backyard or what, well, I had somebody he had a he had a I was renting at the time, so he was in a pot, so I wanted it, okay, And
I was very excited to live in Palm Tree Territory. So I actually now that I bought a house, I did plant it in my backyard. He's my friend, and actually he asked me to be his best man in his next wedding. So that's nice, happy, happy, this friend of yours. Hat. I think this is his fourth but he said the first one didn't count, and I said, wow, I think they all count. Craig. Craig's not listening because he's yeah, yeah, look at it.
Yeah, I say my marriage, my first marriage didn't count either. Anyway, he's a conspiracy guy. He uh, he's pretty out there. But you know, I still love the guy. But I'm like, come on now, so you know I'm not a conspiracy guy. But this is how concerned Dan, because the Democrats have thrown everything they can at Trump. I mean, is he Do they think he is like the next literally the next
Hitler or there's a lot of them that are convinced of that. Do they think that he is that much of a danger or what do they say? An existential threat to democracy and I'm not quite sure that means that they would take him out. Dan. I mean, I'm concerned. We've had a lot of federal agencies that have been what's what's the term that they politicized him, right, like you said, the FBI or whoever. I mean,
we're talking to secret Service, Dan, they are there. The longer that this goes without a clear, thorough, incredible explanation, the more it's going to give birth to conspiracy theories. And I heard her testimony. You know, I was working, but I listened to it on the radio or whatever. But uh, thank god she resigned. I mean, she she skated around all the issues. But then if you watch the I'm sure you have the videos, the pictures of that shooting area. I mean, I'm not
a shooter, you know. I mean, I think anyone that close range with an average shooter with a rifle. I mean the kid, the kid was like, like you said, millimeters or a half inch off from you know, the kid had one lucky shot and then he had he obviously the other shots went awry. We're not talking about Carlos the jackal here. We're talking about a twenty year old kid who, Yeah, I'm not buying into like oh he was like, you know, uh an Iranian, you know,
a sass asset and asset. No, I don't think not. I buind that. I saw pictures of his father tonight for the first time. There were some one of the networks got a picture of the father. Looked like he had loaded up the local grocery store. Did you see that by any chance? Oh? Yeah, he was loading up in groceries. Yeah, you know, And and basically he was very polite. He said to the reporter, please get my family space. So okay, you know. But then yeah, it's something doesn't add up here. I mean, that
doesn't that shooting that spot? How the hell does a guy like that? And they're all yelling at all the all the people crowd are yelling, you know, hey this just look at this guy's assassin up there. I mean that I can understand more more then I can understand how they didn't cover that roof, because that to me is secret service protection. One on one. Yeah, you've got people pointing out there's like assassin, he's or or not
whatever they call them, he's up on a roof. Yeah. No, But what I'm saying is when you just bear with me ken for a second. I can't I might be right, I might be wrong here, but standing next to me with their little video cam or their cell phone, and I'm saying, hey, look over here, there's a guy on the roof in an open field with thousands of people, and maybe at that point they're chairing, they're playing music. I have no idea what the circumstances were.
It could be that all of those shouts might have gone unheard. However, I assumed that one or more police officers should have heard that, and they should have had a communication system set up where, you know, an officer should have been able to report to his command staff we got a potential shooter on the roof over here within seconds, and that that command staff of the Butler Township Police Department should have been sitting next to a secret Service agent who's
in charge of something and say, look, our guys think there's a shooter up in that roof over there, and they at that point then should have said keep the protecting off the stage, and that would have sped. My point is that you know that did. What I'm saying is I don't think that happened, and I think that's happening because it was Why yeah, why why would you have a perfectly I don't want to. I don't want to
even contemplate what you're thinking. I know again that's what I'm saying. I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I'm starting to wonder because the Democrats have thrown everything possible, we need him as the next hitler, which I don't. I don't like the man, but I don't know what what lengths will they go? I don't I got I got pack lines here. I think we've hit this pretty hard, and I thank your man. I really just called to commend you on your restraint in all of this listening to people talk about the fact that a whole bleacher full of people could be in a conspiracy on live television and you're astracted amazing, and your ability to do your job is amazing, And that's just my opinion, but
that's what I wanted to say. Well, thanks very much. You know what I try to do sometimes is having gone to law school back in the day, the Socratic method is a way in which you tried to lead people to show them that their theory or their idea might be a little off. And one of the ways it's almost like jiu jitsu. Jiu jitsu. You don't push back. Sometimes you say, okay, well what do you think next? And when I asked, what do you think next? Do you
think that the fellaw who was killed is still alive? There was a quick yes, which would be in use for his family, and that was even more amazing to hear someone say that they could actually leave that. And lastly, you know, I mean, whatever the point is, it's everything is so fueled by Facebook and social media and all of those different sites nowadays that I don't know what's true sometimes and what's not. And all I can have
is uses my common sense to understand what I'm seeing on TV live. Well, I also hope, Dave, that you continue to listen to Nightside and I'll try to always try to provide as reasonable an accounting as I can. I mean, you're not going to necessarily agree with me on everything, but I think that tonight most people would say we got to get any some answers
here. This is not the Kennedy assassination. In terms of complexity. There's no fair play for Committee Oswald passing out leaflets and at New Orleans, his visit to the to the embassy in Mexico, the fact that he had been in Russia work you know, as a remember having defected the Rush after having been in the Marines. Jack Ruby, the nightclub owner, shoots him on
Sunday morning. Now, this is pretty cut and dried. We should be able to get a very clear answer to what the hell went on here and who dropped the ball, and hopefully the public will wait for that to happen and get the answers that are really true. I want the real, true answers. But I don't want to wait too long, and I don't want to hear somebody say to me, well, you know, it's going to take about a year for us to do the investigation, and then maybe we'll
be able to file a report two or three years from now. No, No, we need to know, like within a matter of no more than a month. There should be a definitive, thorough report that everybody can read and understand, and we'll talk about it. Agreed. Thanks Dave. I appreciate your kind work. she is listening. If you are listening, that is a picture of the bullet, Maybe you think it's a bumblebee. Maybe Rob should play the song or flight of the bumblebee. Huh. I don't know. It's geting to
be comical. But these people that think all these things are happening. I just think that the Secret Service director, she allowed this to happen, indirectly or direct I don't think directly, but I think indirectly by not by not having everything should have been, you know, in place that was not in place, and getting calls from the local police, and and where where were these where were all these informational tapes? And so for then where were the
bullets that were shot? Well, we know the fire chief who's dead. Obviously there was a bullet in his body. So I think she's way off, And I think a lot of these people are way off, and they're not helping the situation. But then again they are allowed to get their opinion. But then I don't think anything that was anything like any of the other assassinations. And then there's a concept called that's called TS. I'm sure you've
heard of a Trump derangement syndrome, right. I think there's a lot of people who are dealing with that right now, and if I can help them, And look and Dan, look at all the people the picture after shot. They were all looking in a certain direction. If you're noticing pointing, just like when well, you don't have to you don't have to convince men, you have to convince her. Yeah, And I've heard this outside myself, not just from her. Another person who was a registered nurse actually said
it. I looked at her and I said, are you sure you are right? I said, don't you understand that they comp true because of what happened? And she said, yeah, I thought it was. It was a fake bandage and they set it all up. I said no, no, I says, I think you're thinking too firing between the lines. And she said, well, that's what I heard in the news. I said, that's the problem because of the news media allows this to go on without stopping and say, hey, there was evidence, and we're not going to
report these these theories because there's no basis for her. But they won't do it. And when you had the internet as an overlay, and it's the wild wild West of the internet, right, Well, okay, but I'll be waiting for the hear a little bit of the flight of the bumblebee so she can hear that. Again, it's one thing to say someone said something in twenty sixteen or twenty eighteen, and you know, people do have a right to change their opinion. That's all. Well, that's true with if you look at what he and those preachers from the Federal Society and a her Just Foundation wants, she was spot
on. But at any rate, the fact is I found that the people in the writing and Republicans, it's just ridiculous all these theories. And I don't want one dollar in my tax money stretched out over how many months or years in reference to this situation being something that was a set up, it was done on purpose, and there's no such thing as Trump demand derangements and
things. Well, did you let me ask you this? Did you hear one of my calls last hour who said that she thought it was set up by that that the assassination attempt was set up If you weren't, if you were listening, great, but if you weren't. Her theory was that this was a phony assassination temp attempt that the parent I did hear her, and and basically she needs some help. Would you say that? Would let me ask you this. I know you're not a doctor, although you're smart enough
to be a doctor. Would you say that there might be some Trump derangement syndrome dealing with those theories? No, sir, because when when I hear Republicans talk, they are so hypocritical, and that people on the right they won millions of dollars spent on a man, on a man who calls people a traitor, but they don't make one one iota of complaint. And wonder about why this being the president, he sat down with an enemy without an
American interpreter. Don't know what he told them, but yet they make no complaint about that, so that they Okay, can I just want to ask you a question. Okay, you're kind of standing away from my question, but that's okay. So I know that there is a belief abroad in the land that Donald Trump is a is a real good friend of Putins and that and that he sat down and whatever. I remember there was there was a
meeting between Medvedev and President Obama back in twenty twelve. I think you might remember that meeting where the microphones were not muted and we heard President Obama say, please tell Vladimir that I can do something after the election. You remember that that car I remember that? Okay, Fine, that never struck me as President Obama telling medved to carry the message back to Putin to do what
he wants. However, however, during the Obama years, Putin invaded Georgia, took part of Ukraine, and during Biden's years, obviously Putin went into Ukraine. Now let's give credit where credit is due. During the four years when Trump was president, did Putin's troops enter any other country other than Russia, and that's other than Ukraine? You mean, no, no, did they enter any country other than Russia. They we know they didn't go into
Ukraine well, but they never went anywhere bet Putin stayed. He was he was relatively quiet during those four years in terms of his He had no adventures outside of Russia. With his military. He did have adventures outside of Russia, also with George Bush. He went into South Sessia in the final year of Bush forty three. So, and I'm going to I'm gonna tell you something. First of all, people need to look at the context of what
mister Obama said. Second of all, any man I was in the army, not a high rank, would you if you had a clients, would you allow the police to question this client if he had requested you to be there? Would you allow the police to do that? Kushnin You would always want to have representation, legal representation if you're under suspicion and the police want
to taught to your client and your client thank you Dan Well. Why would you agree to a president of the United States who has nuclear secrets, by the way, which he scattered around and talked at a party at his residence. Why would you want a man who you call people who are against Trump derangement? Why would you trust a man with becoming the president again when he is so cavalier about my security, your security, your family security. The
banker phones were off with mister Putin. You don't know what he told him. I believe in part Putin told him this is how you try to destabilize your country. He didn't have enough sense to know that. Okay, well, you know you could believe that, Theodore, Theodore, You Theodore. You have a right to believe anything you want. Just as the woman who called tonight from Clinton believes that the assassination, the attempted assassination are Trump was
a phoney. Crivilized. Why do you trivilize the security of this country by saying that bye bye, by trying to conflate the youth, Because I don't see any proof you have a theory. But I don't see any proof of that the woman has theory. It has a dollar to be spent on him getting him to say what he told, mister Putin, getting him to answer why he discussed nuclear submarine secrets. By the way, to anybody, has anybody in the Milk Navy at his residence, you have no. You don't
have one elder of interest in that. But yet the Republicans tell me they are about and the people. What I'm looking for, what I'm always looking for? Again, you know, Theodore again, I think I think you've made your points. I'm a gentleman, gave you every opportunity. I tried to point out that there's no indication other than a theory that because Putin and Trump spend some time without interpreters there, I don't know what they talked about.
Does does Putin speak English? I don't know whether he speaks things. No, he doesn't. He had a Russian interpreter, and Trump, for some reason would not have an American interpreter. And Dan, why don't you have a program one night upon Trump giving the nuclear secrets at a party and getting back to the ambassador in Australia, why don't you have a program about that? Send me some information on that, theatore because I don't have the
specifics, I'm sure you have them readily available. You have my email, Robert, give you my email. Send me some information on that, and I will look at it and if it passes what I would consider to be the equivalent of probable cause, and I would be more than happy to talk about believe it or not, Dan, believe it in that I have to catch up with young people like yourself and other ones. which by the way, is of Homeland Security. Yes, it's directly homelands, it's directly under Homeland Security, correct. Yeah, So I guess my read is, if I'm the director, all these threats, I'm going to overstaff, double staff this event, every event, everywhere this guy goes. So you know, it starts and ends with her, And I guess that's really all I have to say, well, I agree with you as a long time ago Harry Truman said, Harry has Truman, the buck stops
