I suspect that most Trump supporters will be optimistic, and

Joe Dean time man. If he can't do it, no one can. Dan. I'm You're welcome. I'm optimistic, But I'm worried about one thing, Dan Uh. President Trump said, if Hamas doesn't return the hostages, it's gonna be.

All held to be repay, to pay.

And I think I think, yeah, he said, all hell will break loose.

I think a greater war in the Middle East will turn out. And I'm worried.

How about you I'm not.

I'm not. As a matter of fact, I think ironically that there's a an intensive effort to secure some peace talks or a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. And I think President Biden and his advisors would like to see that ceasefire take place before noontime next Monday. And and I think that Donald Trump pretty wisely said to Hamas, Hey, you know, let's get released the hostages now. I don't know if it's all going to happen or not, but my suspicion is that maybe circumstances will work in favor

So can we trust a moss to keep a treaty or peace or whatever it is?

Well, I think I think. I think if they're going to release the hostages, I'll trust him for a while. I mean, that's that's the goal, get the hostages out of there. Uh. Now, if they don't release them and Donald Trump becomes president, I think that Trump will do something. I'm tired now as you look back, did you feel four years ago that Donald Trump, after the January sixth debacle, had a chance to regain the White House? Because I sure didn't.

I wasn't.

No, I was not convinced of that.

Yeah, I thought it was beyond the realm of possibility. But I'll tell you, the American public has changed, and we saw it in November. I think we've seen it in Massachusetts in some ways, I am. I want to be optimistic. I always want to be optimistic when a new president comes in.

I think you want to be optimistic.

And I'm hoping to hear from some people tonight, maybe who didn't vote for Donald Trump, but still are optimistic and hope that he's successful. I guess there's two things you you well, I guess if you're optimistic, you should hope for the success of the country.

Well, I wasn't necessarily pro Trump, but I was definitely anti by an anti Harris. I was ready for change, ready for a new direction.

A lot of people, a lot of people were, and it's been exhausting. It was really interesting. Did you watch the funeral at Jimmy Carter funeral the other day?

I saw parts, Yes, Well, the thing.

That I thought was most thought was most interesting was the relaxed conversation that pres. Former President Obama and President Trump, yeah, seemed to enjoy.

Yes, Well that was that brings some hope.

Well, meanwhile, meanwhile, you know, Vice President Harris sat there, She sat next to Joe Biden. I don't think they ever looked at each other.

And and Joe Biden went back and sent a load of Bill Clinton, but he didn't go down and say hello to President Obama and George Bush. I guess it refused to shake hands with Donald Trump. I mean it was like, come on, people.

Oh wow, what a shame.

Yeah, well that's what I that's what I understand. And I saw a lot of them with my own eyes. I didn't see the refusal or whether or not. And I guess Pence and his wife didn't look at Trump and Millenia. It was interesting. I mean, the only person that Donald Trump seemed to react interact with, and he seemed to be very much at ease was Obama.

Yeah. Oh, very high school.

Oh god, absolutely, But isn't that what politics is kind of all about.

Oh yeah, I'm very optimistic, I'm very hopeful, and I wish the best for our country.

Thank you. Hey, looks to share some of my experiences. I'm extremely optimistic about what's to come in this country. But allow me to share with you my reasons for taking a sideline when it came to the actual election time. And it's not because I was disappointed with Trump or disappointed with Biden, but I to be honest with you, I was afraid. And why I was afraid was because the direction this country was going it and a lot of people may or may not share the same concerns

How do you let me ask, how do you figure? How do you figure that when you voted someone would know how you voted. I missed that part of the conversation I.

Heard somewhere in this maybe tinfoil hat.

Stuff, but.

But you know, and and the thing is, you know, I've heard people, you know, who openly talk about, uh, their concerns about the Biden administration. And you know, I'm not going to mention any well, maybe like Max double what what.

What I'm trying to What I'm trying to get at, Stephen, I'm being honest with you here is that if if you felt that concern and let us say, uh, I don't know you were, you know, put a Trump bumper strip on your car or something like that. I understand why you might say to me, G, my neighbors are going to know whatever. But I thought what you said was you were so you chose not to vote.

Right, correct, because I was afraid because I've seen how certain things have become weaponized against people who they perceived to be a threats. And you know.

That they were like nearly seventy seven million people that voted for Trump. I know, I know, and I just I just think that do you still have those fears or no?

Well, you know, with the way things are in the country and how people have been targeted, and you know, damn, I got to tell you, honestly, I don't know how to think. I mean, I'm really the way the legal system and the justice system and the media and all kinds of other things for the past four plus years have been openly attacking people that the wrong way. I mean, I know it sounds.

Crazy, well it does, it does. But but let me ask you that. Let me ask you the honest of God truth. I want you to give me a truth of answer. Has anything in the last four and a half years ever come up to you and threatened you or implied that that if you said something? Have you experienced anything that would justify I understand the fear, Okay, I have a fear of let's say, snakes, okay, And I don't want to be in the room with a

Personally, No, to be honest with you in return, But people, other people I've seen that have openly expressed their support for Trump or you know, mentioned something that they consider negative about the I or the whole crazy gender thing or whatever. They've been black ball They've been threatened with their employments, and you know, it's just unfortunately that's the way it was, and now that's all about to change. And I'm extremely ecstatic about that.

Okay, good, okay, fair enough. So I just feel that that My next question, and I don't think I have to ask this question, was did you ever seek any you know, any psychiatric help to because that's a horrible fear to live with, you know, as they say, I don't like snakes, to be really honest with you, Okay, I.

Work in the correctional psychiatric division.

I have reservations if he's going to conduct him If he's going to conduct himself through to form, and Donald Trump seems to be compelled to conduct himself, it's going to once again, it's going to kind of degenerate. If he takes the advice of Teddy Roosevelt and speaks soft and carries a large stick and occupies in fact

I hope you're right. I hope you're right, and that would be I would share one of those reservations. I hope that he learned. Now again, you know, his a lot of mistakes in the first term. He did do some good things, but he certainly did not act presidential in a number of circumstances, and I hope that he surrounded himself with some advisors that will be supportive but also will be corrective, meaning who will say, wait a second, you know you don't want to do that that sort

Both of those issues have legs and they need to be very definitely negotiated in attended to. Those are not the things that I have an issue with President Trump concerning I do somehow I get the feeling consistently that he seemed to not be capable of gathering up the thought that he was the president and he doesn't need to go into all the unnecessary historyonics that he seems to fall victim to. He self victimizes himself well, and I don't know why he is the president exactly exactly.

I understand what you're saying. Your term of self victimization is powerful, But yeah, be the president, act like the president. Allow your minions to do whatever dirty work has to be done. I certainly hope that he is smart enough not to engage in in the equivalent of law fair and going after other people. Term, Well, actually, even though I didn't both for President Trump, I am at this point, I'm cautiously optimistic.

Yeah, I mean I I tend to agree with you. I think that, uh, there's no reason to to root against him. Uh No, the election, the next election, he's not gonna He's never gonna stand for election again. The next election is four years away. Uh. And see how it's gonna be interesting to see how he decides to conduct himself. I mean, uh, he's been fairly I I enjoyed watching him and President Obama's chat the other day waiting for the for the funeral for former President Carter.

And yes I did. I watched. I watched the whole service last Thursday. Yeah, I was surprised when I saw the inter reaction between President Obama and the President you know, Trump. It kind of surprised me, and I thought, well, maybe this is this would be a turning point. Perhaps I don't know.

Turning point, but it certainly look everybody else there. Now again, I realized, it's a funeral, but it's also the funeral for someone who lived to one hundred. I mean, it's not someone dropped dead at thirty five. You could certainly, you know, take the time to uh, you know, be be solemn. But at the same time, I watched Bill and Hillary Clinton sat there. They looked ahead. President Biden

Right, right. But it was a relief to see that in a re answer, and I was kind of surprised.

I was very pleased to see it. I was pleased to see it. I thought, look, if these two guys, who probably don't see the world the same way in any shape or form, can actually sit there and have a conversation and enjoy apparently some comments that each were making. I mean, one would listen and then smile. The other it was I wish everybody had a chance to see that. Maybe everybody did, and I something like that. Well, first, I hate to put a damper on your your interpretation of that conversation between Trump and Obama because Donald said he said it wasn't as friendly as your thought it was. Well, he says, I know it.

Did you watch it? Did you happen to see it? Yeah, there's a few gags going around on uh, on the internet where they sort of, you know, kind of say that they're lip reading. I don't think anyone's lip reading. It looks pretty friendly to me, Dave. I'll tell you, I don't know.

I know it to me too.

But Donald said it to one of his one of his meetings. What friendly is your thought it was? He said, I don't looks friendly.

Yeah, but whatever, I'll still take I'll take my observation over over his his comment. Maybe someone said to him, you look like you're having too much fun. Guess what compared with the other people all look like stiff's Bush and his wife smiled. They never acknowledged other people to speak of. When when Vice President Harris sat there with you know who really looked upset was the first gentleman he looked. He just was very uncomfortable. Okay.

I always remember Jimmy Carter because I got my career because of him. He promised those young guys that if we went to college and studied automotive engineering and he paid for our tuition. I did just that and got a career out of it.

Good for you. We're good for you, and that's fine. I like Jimmy Carter too. I told I spoke the other night. I guess it was Thursday night for a better part of a couple of hours about people's memories of Jimmy Carter. And I had plenty of meetings with him, both before he was a candidate, while he was a candidate, while he was president, and after he was president. No, I've gotta I gotta see what hits first stand assumes the presidency. I want to see what the globalists are holding him back until he takes office.
