We are continuing our Mesoamerica series with the Tlahuelpuchi.  The Nahuas believe in a creature they call the Tlahuelpuchi. It is said to have the form of a woman, often described as beautiful and alluring, which helps it deceive and entice its victims. It has long, flowing hair that cascades down its back, and its eyes are known to possess a captivating, mesmerizing quality, sometimes described as glowing or piercing with an otherworldly intensity. The creature may appear to be harmless and attractive at first, luring unsuspecting individuals closer. The Nahuas are a larger indigenous group that encompasses various subgroups and communities across Mexico and Central America. They share a common linguistic heritage as speakers of the Nahuatl language. The Nahuas predate the Aztec civilization and have a long history that includes other prominent civilizations such as the Toltecs and Teotihuacanos.
