Welcome to the first episode of the New Year.  We are glad you are back for more creepy tales from Nightmares of the Americas.  In this episode we talk about the devil dog himself.  No, we're not talking about the Hound of the Baskerville.  This is the Shunka Warakin. The Ioway people say this creature is a nocturnal monster  and Its name means "carries off dogs," because it is said to prey on family dogs at night. It is a beast resembling a large wolf, with human-like cries.  Shunka Warakin has been associated by some people with a hyena-like creature from local Montana folklore called "ringdocus."  Don't forget to go to our new merch store and grab some new native gear designed by the one and only Gabriel Behill.  Also, please sign up for our new Patreon by following our link below.  Lastly, please get in on our new T-Shirt giveaway on our IG and Tik-Tok.
