In western Nevada, on the outskirts of the Humboldt Sink, is a small cave. It's hot and dry and isolated, but it wasn't always this way. It was once part of the enormous Lake Lahontan, a lake that was around some 13,000 years ago, and at the time one of North America's largest lakes. But it eventually dried up, leaving a number of smaller lakes, among which was Humboldt Lake. The cave was on its shore, and in it lived a race of natives who hunted and fished and enjoyed a life full of prosperity. But there's an exciting twist to these people: If you research these people you'll find that archaeological and historical evidence tells us they were not common Native Americans. They were the Si-Te-Cah, a race of red-haired giants, ten feet tall, and they terrorized their neighbors with cannibalism.

The people who lived in this area were the Northern Paiute. I know we did talk about these people before, but the band we talked about were the fish eaters of Pyramid lake. There are so many bands and oddly enough their names all have to do with food. Haha, my kind of people. Sit back and enjoy the show.
