Speaker 2

So thank you again. Ohchr.

Speaker 1

Let's jump right into the ball game. The Browns beat the Jets thirty to twenty. Man I thought o Jo, I thought in Joeku would go get my record. He had four catches for a buck thirteen in the first quarter. Yeah, and I said, oh man, ah man, he got me, he got me, and he cooled down substantially. He ended the game with six receptions one hundred and thirty four yards on eight targets. But he had an outstanding game going.

And Joe Flacco had it going again when he finished with nineteen or twenty nine three h nine, three touchdown, one interception. Considering I mean he cooled off substantially in the second half. He had two ninety six at the half, so he only had he had thirteen yards in the second half. They didn't need a whole lot. They ran the football, but it was the turnover. I thank ward fumble. I think another guy got it punched out. So give the Jeffs credit. But what the Jets have going on,

O Joe. If they think Aaron Rodgers is gonna solve solve all the eels with what's going on with that team, they're fooling themselves and they're setting him up for failure.

Speaker 4

Failure, absolutely not Listen.

Speaker 5

I've always said that you and I be going back and forth about Zach Wilson being at the Helm and really not being able to do anything, and a lot of the chirping and a lot of the noise on the outside feels that if Aaron Rodgers was to come back, all of a sudden, he would be the savior. If you understand the night, if you look at Trevor Simeon behind center, he had one point nine seconds to throw the ball. One point nine seconds. That's not enough time to do anything. That's not even time to take a

step back. O Joe, somebody's already in your face, so there's really nothing you can do. There are many woes and many problems that need to be addressing the off season before Aaron Rodgers even thinks about stepping behind center. But again, on the other flip side of things, I want to talk about the Browns. The Browns obviously in playoff contention, making the playoffs for the first time since twenty twenty. For I don't like the fact that I

don't know. Please help me understand. And you know this too as well as me. As long as we played the game, why do games like this? Joe Flacco is

Browns Beat The Jets

having the game of his life. Obviously another three hundred yard game almost but he had yeah, yeah, two something whatever it was it the half. But then begin to the second half and all of a sudden, to fan skin whoever else is calling the plays, they step off the gas all the way, all the way after the guys. If chief I tarld it, I called him chief. If Cheek and Joko had had a first half like that,

why not continue? Why not continue that momentum? Why not continue what they were doing in the first half in the second half and had that carry over into the next game and then into the playoffs. That is great momentum for your team. That is great confidence for your team. I see from an offen the standpoint for the quarterback that's only been there for five week. Yeah, why come off the gas? I don't understand why team do that. But you know the thing is is that, look, they

got a decent running game. It's not what it would be had they had Nick Chubb and Ford can run the football. But I think the thing is is that it's easy to say we should have stepped on it, but it cost the Falcons the Super Bowl. Remember when they should have been running the ball, they still full speed ahead, right and guess what it happened?

Speaker 1

Incomplete and complete Patriots get the ball, have a turnover, they get the ball again, and the next thing you know, had you just run the football, you could have just run the football three or four series and there wouldn't have been enough time. But because you kept stopping the clock and you turned the ball over on a short field, Now you give a team an opportunity to get back in the ball game.

Speaker 2

So I understand.

Speaker 1

And even though selfishly I would have liked to see in Joeku see what type of game he could have had had they kept going, I understand Stefans get in his rationale and thinking, because you know what we're gonna say. You let that team come back after you and them had them down like that, and you getting wreckless with the ball, throwing it all over the place. When you got for you have kareem hunt. People gonna look at you like, what did you do? You just cast your team a playoff spot.

Speaker 5

Yeah, but you have to think about this, huh. You have to think about how they play defensively. If you only got one point nine second to even throw the ball, they were running the ball decent, really not not really effective enough to even come back in this game.

Speaker 4

Why not continue to pour it on? And pour it on? Dude?

Speaker 5

What that does for your team confidence and that team offensively mentally To go in and win a game like that, even if it is in New York Jets, that carries on to the next game. And what happens when it carries on to the next game. It carries right on over until.

Speaker 1

Just get the touchdown. Flato threw a pick, ran it back. How did you get how to get the field goal? Bumble?

Speaker 5

Well, well that was that was unfortunate. Though the dude tipped the ball. He was trying to throw it about flat. Okay, be right, he should have threw it in the ground. He should have the ground. Hey, think about this, Remember what happened Monday night. How many of those balls got tipped that brock Purty got picked three of them?

Speaker 4

Okay, you right.

Speaker 1

All he had for the first was clean. All the rest of them got popped up in there. And you see it right, Okay, it snowballs on you. I get what Stefanskis says. And like I said, selfishly, you and I we see it. Got Joe black olass two ninety six at the half and you said we step on the game. I mean, we keep the pedal to the medal. What could it have been? But then on the flip side.

Speaker 5

About fifty eight fifty eight at at the rate they was going like, it didn't even look it didn't even look like the brown just in general, when I think about the Browns offense and what I saw to night in that first half, I'm like, in the hell are.

Speaker 2

That with normar Cooper, with Norm Marka.

Speaker 4

With no coupe, and they didn't miss a beat. They didn't miss a beat.

Speaker 1

I mean he had long Joe Flack on Joe who had a longer forty three, Elijah Moore had along with twenty four four had a longer fifty Actings had a longer twenty eight. So I mean there were deep shots, and we know Joe Flackel has a big time ar uh and the one that he threw the four for the fifty yarder, he's rolling to his left and his size army and with the size arm its a side

arms it. And we know Joe Flacco isn't known for his mobility, so for him to get out of this way, change arm angle and get your ball to Ford and left forward through the rest, it just shows that this offense is really really good. The defense was hunting the night, but I mean, what am I supposed to say, Oh, Jo, I think you and I could have got a sack or at least a hit on the quarterbacks. That offensive line terrible.

Speaker 4

It is tough.

Speaker 5

Do you think you think I hate to say this, and I'm not going to say it because I know it. It's like being on the losing team. Do you think they're giving up.

Speaker 2

No, they're not.

Speaker 1

They're just bad. I mean, the offensive lineman as big as they are. I looked at Mackay Becton brouh Y, he's their best player. He's giving up eleven bats most in the NFL, second most penalty yard, second most penalty is called against. I mean, the dude can't block the sun out of his eyes and he's six seven, three hundred and fifty pounds. Man, Come on, you can't block the sun out of his eye. You should ain't no

way you should be that big and that bad. And I get that's Miles Garrett, But at some point time, Miles Garrett ain't just finna keep beating on me.

Speaker 2

I would win some of these battles.

Speaker 1

I ain't say you got to win them all because Miles Garrett if he's one of the top players in the league, and he played and he paid a premium, But at some point in time, damn son.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean, I.

Speaker 5

Know I know what you mean, but again, that is Miles Garrett. I mean that there's certain players when it comes to it. If you if you be consistently throughout the game, it's because you're playing against a premium player like a Miles Garrett, a TJ.

Speaker 1

Watt or who else, one of the one of the most, Miles, Michael Parson, TJ. Watt and whoever else, or you not finna beat me every single play. I mean at some point in time, o Yo, pride got a kick in regardless of who you lined up against.

Speaker 5

But listen, even think about this, think about as prideul as he he may be, as privl as he wants to be, there's a skill set gap. No matter what you do in that game, that person across you will always be better better than you.

Speaker 2

But you gotta win.

Speaker 4

What might kick it?

Speaker 1

You got win what Ojo? My brother was three years older than me. We fought all the time. I got you a couple of licks.

Speaker 4

I got a couple of Here, listen, you got your couple of licks because you win.

Speaker 1

Here's the thing. That's all I'm saying. You might not win, but you gotta stop me on if you plays.

Speaker 4

Okay, you're right, you're right, You're right. I like I like the pride time.

Speaker 5

I like the pride thing because you are playing if you're not playing for the Jets, you are playing for the name on the back of that goddamn jersey, and you.

Speaker 1

Got I h had a college coach said that when he when you go out here, and he told him Bill Davis my college at the Battle State. He said, do not recruit offensive lineman. He said, I don't ever want you all to go recruit any offensive lineman. He says, I want all defensive linemen. He said that we get defensive linemen and they can't play defense. We can move

on the offensive line and they can play offense. He said, because if you get an offensive lineman and he can't play, you got a big ass equipment manage on your hands. That's what you got on you. Where can you move? Tell me where you can move an offensive lineman he can't play defense because he doesn't have the mentality.

Speaker 5

Yeah, but then obviously there's a certain mentality that you have. You have to have to play office. You have a defense over the Yeah, especially the blind side that listen, that's the most important position on the offensive line, the blind side of the quarterback.

Speaker 4

Unless you left handed. That's your money.

Speaker 5

That's your money, man, that's your chess piece, the most important chess piece.

Speaker 1

So you you got to be able to play. You know, if you got to be member, you got to be agile. You got to be able to I mean, you got to be able to dance on air.

Speaker 5

Fo Hey, Yeah, your footwork got a special. You got to be able to kick. You got to be able to kick in putting them boy dogs on the open side. That's why you have those guys over there. That's why you see the Miles Garrits over there. That's what the open side. When you saw the Derek Thomas, LT mainly lined up on that side, but it didn't matter what LT lined up. This is why you know LT is the greatest defensive player. Because Joe Gibbs put an offense in just for him.

Speaker 1

The age back position was created, the extra tight end

Aaron Rodgers Wouldn't Overcome Jets O-line Issues

was created for Lawrence Taylor right and everybody in the NFC.

Speaker 2

Every he made the He.

Speaker 1

Made two positions famous, the left tackle and the edge linebacker, because everybody went and got them. If you couldn't block LT, you couldn't beat the Giants. So Minnesota they went and got the Garrett Zimmerman, and and and and the forty nine ers win got Steve Wallace. And you go look at the team that tried that went and got somebody, especially to deal with fifty six.

Speaker 4

The Black alt and and it ain't nobody succeeded.

Speaker 1

No, no, I mean the Washington you know what they work called their commanders now.

Speaker 2

But they got Georgia Kobe. They went and got.

Speaker 1

They traded for Jimbler shape I mean talking about two and Jacoby I said, if I'm not mistaken, I think he's on the Hall of Fame ballot this year, or he winning last year, but I think he's on the ballot this year. Uh. But you look at the teams in the NFC that went and got drafted or traded for premium left tackle, because hey, I think Jimbo cover the Bears come here. I mean you had to, yeh didn't know. There was no way around it. You had to deal with it right, and he would could have gotten.

The thing is, you know he's gonna be on the edge. The difference between he and Reggie Reggie, I mean Reggie's turning the handle. He turned the handle on your center, on your guard, on your tackle, and he just did it like one of these open, and then when he found out it was open, to wear him out all day. So but yeah, at some point in time, you have to have a situation what a pride kicks saying instead. I understand he's a far superior athlete than me, but

I can't let this man beat me. I mean, there's eighty thousand fans watching and there's another ten million at home watching, and this man beat me every single play, every play.

Speaker 4

Yeah, matter of fact, listen, I don't play the left tackle position.

Speaker 2

I don't.

Speaker 5

I don't know much about the left tackle position or playing office line at all. But when I think about it, if I can't beat him physically, if I can't beat him at his own game, then I gotta beat him up here.

Speaker 4

If I can't beat him physically, you got to beat him up here. I don't know. I don't really know how to explain what.

Speaker 5

You can do at that position, But try to be two steps ahead, two steps ahead of him.

Speaker 4

Try to envision what he might do. Try to beat him to the punch.

Speaker 5

If it's cheating a little bit, if it's getting out your if it's getting out your kick, getting at your off, the off, the ballad a little faster kick it to a certain point, stabbing him, grabbing.

Speaker 4

Him, holding him, any goddamn thing.

Speaker 5

Just do something, because having one nine second to throw the ball in the NFL game, where you're supposed to be one of the best in the world.

Speaker 4

It's unacceptable. It's unacceptable.

Speaker 1

And guess who get Guess who gets to blame the god damn quarterback. Me personally, I think I don't think he's athletic enough his feet or quick enough to play that position. He probably better suited for a guard or right tackle.

Speaker 4

He might.

Speaker 1

He seems to me a more of a run guy because of that open side. That's where you're premium athlete. That's where you're Trent Williams reside, that's where you're big dogs. That's where're Jonathan Ogden's and Orlando Paces and Anthony Munjoses.

That's where those guys decided. And so you see mammoth of men that was slide Jo was a shot putter, so you know, he had to be able to rotate, and and he was a he was a glide thrower, so he didn't he didn't spend like we see the big guys now like Ryan Krauzer and all those guys. He was a glide thrower. But I just they need to hold that. That offensive line isn't very good. And I don't believe Aaron Rodgers, even as great as he is, I don't believe he can come in and instantaneous make

them a contending football team. That's just me personally. Somebody else might see it totally different, but I just don't see that.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I mean, I'm not. I mean, what's gonna happen.

Speaker 5

I mean, Aaron Rodgers coming back next year and magically everybody's just going to be playing that much better all of a sudden out the blue. That's really not the way. That's really not the way things work. Obviously, he played four player at the.

Speaker 4

Beginning of the season.

Speaker 5

He got hurt because why he was running for his life. He was running, he was running for his life. But anyway, back to the Browns again, I just I just had the Yeah, they look real good. It paid me to say this. This is Cleveland's second playoff appearance in the last twenty one years, first team to make the playoff with a four quarterback Carousel Watson, PJ.

Speaker 4

Walker, Thompson, Robinson and Flacco.

Speaker 5

So, Kevin SEFANKI, this is his second playoff appearance in four seasons. Do you think it should be up for Kennedy's the Year?

Speaker 1

Absolutely? I absolutely think he should be up for Coach of the Year. I think Demiko Ryan should be in that running, considering he's doing this with a rookie quarterback. I think Mike McDaniel what he's doing Atlanta, excuse me, Miami, I think he should be in consideration. But for me, if Houston makes the playoff with a rookie head coach and a rookie quarterback, you gotta give it. You gotta give it to me coach. Absolutely. Absolutely. Stan Cloudy asked

the question. O Joe said, we got to talk about why Blacko is moving the offense better than Watson.

Speaker 5

Wait, I have a question before you've answered it, before you say anything, I want people to remember. Let's you remember when Watson played the Browns worth five and one. The Browns were five and one. They were winning games, but offensively, statistically, it doesn't look like it does with Fla.

Speaker 1

The question that he asked, he says, we need to ask the question why are the why does the offense look like this?

Speaker 2

With Blaco and not with Watson.

Speaker 4

You know that's funny. You know it's crazy.

Speaker 2

Remember that.

Speaker 5

What's the first thing I asked you on last week's show? Why does it look like this? I I I don't understand are they called? Are the plays different? I mean, the players can't be that much different.

Speaker 1

He had a Mark Cooper, he had Elysah Rogers and Joke Chief and Djoko was there.

Speaker 5

So I can't answer it. I've been watching the games. I watched the games when when DeShawn was playing. I'm not sure what happened. It can't be. It can't be because Flacco was higher. DeShawn is a little bit more mobile. The arm strength, I wouldn't say is as strong as Flack over he.

Speaker 2

Has way above average arm way above average. Yeah wait wait but it's good enough. Yeah good enough?

Speaker 4

Yeah, good enough. It's good enough.

Speaker 5

So I'm trying to understand what the difference is the Are the plays a little bit different because Flacco was in but most in the bulk of the vocal the offense would be at Deshawn's Deshaun Watson service. So why does the offense look different with Flack on the helm? I asked you because I couldn't answer it, and I watched you.

Speaker 1

Look at if you look at the West Coast system, and that's the system that I spent the bulk of my career, and I think it's part of the system that helped me the most make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's a heavy play action, so the ability to run the football. And you look at the teams that that's that's West Coast. You look at Miami, you look at the forty nine ers, you look at the Chiefs, and even though we don't think the Chiefs as a running team, they run.

Speaker 2

They like to play. They like to play action.

Speaker 1

If you look at Flacco when they play action, he's looking to throw the ball down the field. He's looking to get the ball down the field. If you look at the throws that he hit and Joku on the night, the deep over outs, you look at the play that he hit.

Speaker 4

The Rogers, He's.

Speaker 1

Throwing it down the field now and sometimes maybe maybe Deshan is a bit more cautious, don't want to turn the ball over. But that's not Joe Flacco's mentality. Joe Flacco's mentality is the ripping. He's gonna throw the ball down the field. He's gonna push the ball down the field. He's gonna push the envelope.

Speaker 4

That's you know, that's a good thing.

Speaker 5

Now that you said that, do you think Flacco is more inclined to just play this freely because he didn't have the win the contract over his shoulder, or DeShawn being a little bit more cautious because of the contract and knowing that I really can't play as free as i'd like to because as soon as I make mistakes, the first thing to bring up is the money they paying.

Speaker 1

They're not gonna blizz cause like gonna say, what's the worst thing y'all could do? Send me back to my couch. Hell, I just got here, so okay, so why go back to day to do this and pick it up and take dropping off my kids? It's my five kids in school. DeShawn, he listen. He hears everything that we're saying. Their murmurs in Cleveland, the fans that in the stands and on the radio stations, they're saying this claim conversation that you're not having right now, Mary Kay Cabot and all those

people in Cleveland are having those same conversations. Why does the offense look so different with Joe Flacco, a guy that was calling teams asking for roster spot, Can I come in, let me throw for you, let me do this?

Speaker 4

And everybody told him no. Right, So why how does

Flacco Better Than Watson?

a guy get.

Speaker 1

Off his couch in five weeks look better than a guy that's been there throughout the entirety?

Speaker 5

Yeah, you know what the funny thing is, I think I think Washington can do it. And I think what I just said might be the issue playing cautious, not playing free, wanting to play mistake free football instead of

penny of years back and letting that motherfucker fly. And I think when he does have the opportunity to come back, because he will be back, and what we've seen from Mamari, where we've seen from Elijah Moore, where we've seen from Jerome Ford, will be seen from Kareem Hunt, they can get the job done and that West Coast offense should pick up right where left off. Want to Shawn his back health ready.

Speaker 2

He's gonna have to.

Speaker 1

He's gonna have to, oh show because the guy we're about to talk about, Denver Broncos, is binging his two hundred and forty two million dollar contract the franchise that's bullshit.

Speaker 2

The franchise that's bullshit. Be fitted.

Speaker 1

Russ is expected to be cut by the Broncos in March. For almost two months, he's been knowing the organization was most likely going to move on for him after the season.

Speaker 4

Bullshit A bunch of bullshit.

Speaker 5

Listen a lot of people in the chat, those that are that are listening, those that are watching.

Speaker 4

I know there have been a lot of gripes about Russell Wilson.

Speaker 5

I even talked about it's surprising to see that the maturation of the relationship between him and Sean Payton have been doing well.

Speaker 4

He scrutinized a lot.

Speaker 5

Everything is magnified, obviously because of the contract reasons.

Speaker 1

Wilson's number this year twenty six TD passes.

Speaker 5

He ranks six in the NFL, only behind Dak Prescott and Brock Purty. Let me see, obviously, Jared Goff, Josh Allen and blah blah blah whatever.

Speaker 4

He's thirty three this season.

Speaker 5

This season alone, I think he's ahead of him and Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes and and Wilson's numbers are identical.

Speaker 4

They're identical.

Speaker 5

So I'm trying to understand the move by the Broncos is simply a money move. It's simply a money move.

Russell Wilson Benched

Is a business move on trying not to pay. Is it thirty nine million? No, he's already guaranteed.

Speaker 1

He's guaranteed thirty nine next season, but another thirty to thirty seven if he got hurt and couldn't pass a physical by March twenty twenty five, is guaranteed.

Speaker 2

That thirty seven million guaranteed? Is right?

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 4

Right? Right?

Speaker 1

This?

Speaker 4

I mean it's a money move.

Speaker 5

I think for him if he was playing well, I think would there be any way they can come to him and try to restructure.

Speaker 1

There'll be no way to restructure. No, I mean he would have to. And that's what, Oh Joe, this is why I tell players, Why y'all taking pay cuts, Why y'all giving team discounts? You see what they do to you, right, you'll see what they do to you. But oh, take them and then what the n see. The NFL owners have done a great job because they're the only they're the only group of people that could convince the common folk that millionaire. Yeah, the millionaires are more selfish than

the billionaires. And what they pray and what they frame it as if if a million there doesn't give a billionaire a pay cut, he's selfish, he doesn't want to win, and the fans jump on it with both feet. They buy in with both feet. Oh, if I was doing hold on, if I was doing this, if somebody paid me thirty million, what if somebody will pay you thirty million? How much do you think they're making? But fans for

it's the same. That's why, and I get I get. Look, I understand both sides because I was a player, and I understand when they struck in eighty two, when they struck in eighty seven, the replacement players came in eighty seven. You know why the people, the players started coming back because what they found out that the stadiums will still feel they don't care about the players. All they care about is the logo. Players come and go, that logo stays the same. So what the players found out is

that we got to take what they give us. And the owners know that. That's why they do what they do. That's why they don't have guaranteed contracts. See what you see what base did? Baseball shut their entire season down,

Players Shouldn't Take Pay Cuts

no World Series, no playoffs. That's what they needed to do to the NFL no playoffs. You gotta get you got all.

Speaker 5

The players have to be agether you know, that's what you do.

Speaker 1

You say, look, your guys, we're gonna do this. But I need you guys, listen, no more splurgeon, no more. I need you to save every dime for three years because this might take a year, this might take a year, it might take two years.

Speaker 4

But yeah, right before the playoffs. Times how you give them?

Speaker 1

Right everybody? In twenty eleven, what did the owners do to the playoffs?

Speaker 4

Oh? Yo, they locked y'all ass out of the building. Out out of the building, y'all going up there.

Speaker 1

They put chains and locks on the door. That's what they did. And the play what did the fans say? Not a damn thing. Now, billionaires locked, not millionaires. But if you don't take a pay cut, the fans jump in the chat. The first thing, you sealthish, he don't want to win. Where the owners don't want to win because they ain't paying no money. Look, I can't.

Speaker 4

Even But then then and there's a funny thing about the fans.

Speaker 5

The fans will say, oh, a bunch of millionaires crying, Oh, you got all this money while you arguing where you're making this or you're making that. But I don't think people understand obviously what it takes even get to this point, and then obviously getting what you feel your worth. I mean, they're already gonna cut your short anyway based on which your.

Speaker 4

Value really is.

Speaker 5

But you got to fight tooth and nail to get what you deserve or what you feel you deserve, especially once you put the work in. When you put the work in and your resume is shown on the green graft between the white lines, you have to fight tooth and nail to get what you deserve. I'm not even gonna say no names, but some quarterbacks, depending on who it is. Oh, it's no issues. Things getting done.

Speaker 2

Everybody gonna have to face this day.

Speaker 1

Oh I remember, I remember why you think Tom Brady out of New England, they wasn't gonna get Tom Brady wanted that money, they said, Bill Bellichick saying, not on my wife. I remember when John Lway Manny take a pay cut.

Speaker 4

So yeah, yeah, sure did, sure did, Sure did?

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Fans that said a.

Speaker 4

Chance, you know, they may have paid many.

Speaker 1

Did absolutely one thousand percent, and and and and and and The thing is old, Joe, is that they franked, Like I said, the owner, they frame it and fans by end.

Speaker 2

I just I don't know if anybody know.

Speaker 1

Fans before the after the season, every NFL team last year got a check for three hundred million. Now, ain't no ticket sold, Ain't no con session, Ain't no merchandise, Ain't no.

Speaker 2

That's the tv DA.

Speaker 1

That's not particket, that's not for con session, that's not for merchandise, that's not for local broadcast rights. That's just TV national TV. YouTube just been two point two billion a year. Amazon's been a billion. Netflix want some of this action being football or basketball?

Speaker 4

And I own to split that. Huh?

Speaker 1

Each owner get three hundred million, and that's before a ticket is sold. Ain't no parking, Ain't no concession, Ain't no merchandise, Ain't no local broadcasting. And now you got Now, let's do local sponsorship, Let's do local advertising, right man? They better stop, you know what. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I got on my soapbox. I'm sorry I got on my soapbox. But I just need fans need to understand this. They need to understand.

Speaker 5

I don't think they'll ever be under I don't think they'll They'll never be able to understand because they're they're looking at it from a different view as a fan and not the actual player. They're saying it is where you're a millionaire, you're making millions of dollars. Think about the opportunity that you have or that you have to make this kind of money, and you're complaining about not making enough, and it's I think it's really hard for them to understand and get it grasped.

Speaker 1

Oh Joe, But when I tell the fans, let's just say you're making one hundred thousand. You make one hundred and fifty thousand on your job. You know what I'm gonna do your solid I will bump your pay up to two hundred thousand. And your boss come to you and say, I need you to take a fifty seventy five thousand dollars pay cut because we want to play somebody else and we want to make sure that we win it whatever we do.

Speaker 2

Y'all signing on for that? Why not? See? I want you to look at it to a relative scale.

Speaker 1

Don't look at somebody making thirty million, because you're not making thirty million.

Speaker 2

I need you to look at it in your turns.

Speaker 1

You're making one hundred and seventy five to two hundred thousand, and your boss come to you and say, take fifty thousand dollar pay cut so we can hire caring in HR up with that?

Speaker 4

Who come with that?

Speaker 2

Ain't nobody? You ain't taking no money from me?

Speaker 1

But y'all got no problem taking the money from a football player.

Speaker 2

Why because it ain't your money.

Speaker 1

But when I hit your pockets now all of a sudden, man, and see what hair is the thing?

Speaker 4

Think about? Ojo?

Speaker 1

Remember I told you when they asked you to take a pay cut. Okay, you making thirteen million. They want to take you down to eighth, but they want you to make plays just like you're making thirteen million.

Speaker 2

You see how they did?

Speaker 1

Yo?

Speaker 4

Yoe, oh Joe?

Speaker 1

I like there, you still give me fourteen hundred? Can you still give me ten touchdown? Can you still give me those ninety to one hundred catches? But I need you to take a eight thousand dollars pay cut, but make those same plate.

Speaker 4

It's crazy had work. It's crazy had work.

Speaker 1

And the funny thing about it is you have to damn their play when your price tag is similar to that of Russell Wilson. You got the damn there almost playing missting free football and damn there being contention. You can't have any no slip ups, no, no, no, nothing.

Speaker 5

The team has to be damned there on the way to the goddamn Super Bowl to warrant the money you're getting. And then the owner, the new owners, the new coach, that's not who brought Russell will Russell Wilson is right.

Speaker 2

Remember I had this conversation.

Speaker 1

I said, Sean Payton ain't beholding the Russell Wilson And I told you early on. I said, oh, Joe, remember we dived in Detroit and he was yelling. I said, yeah, I get it, but not in public like that. You don't dress down out of Russell Wilson. Now we've seen lesson tier quarterbacks. Coach Parcells and some of the other coaches have dressed down less tier quarterbacks, but not Russell Wilson.

No matter how, no matter how poorly you think he's played in Denver, he's a Super Bowl winner, he's a multiple time playoff and he has three hundred touchdown passes. He has thirty forty thousand passing yard maybe even fifty. So he's earned a level I believe me personally, I believe he's earned a certain level of respect on the sidelin. Now, if you want to say something behind closed doors where the public can't hear or see, have at it. But

I'm telling you, O Joe. You remember I came on there were some things going on with the last coach that Russell was get away with, and when Sean Payton found out about it, he was in sense. Now, I tried to tell people what was going on last year, and everybody was asking Shannon, how you know you ain't in the locker room them players. You heard what his teammate said. Congratulations teammate. You're supposed to stand up for Russell Wilson. But I don't give a damn what they said.

Everything that I said was going on was factual. Then now, all of a sudden, Shannon, what you think about the situation? No, when I tried to tell you told me to shut my mouth because I didn't know what was going on. I promise you, if I tell you, Grass would turn the cheefe start hustling crackers. That's what I need you to do, whatever you do it, whatever your occupation is. If I tell you Grams will turn the cheese tomorrow.

Quit your job, start hustling crackers. Now, I told you what was going on, and I told you if Russell Wilson didn't play to at A at A at an MVP level, the Bronco was gonna move on.

Speaker 2

Well, how you know you ain't in.

Speaker 4

The locker room.

Speaker 1

You just talking loud mouth. Now, everything I said is come to fruition, not what.

Speaker 5

Yeah, and you think they sabotaze it on perpon No, not saying that that contract it's really simple, O Joe. So so do you so you do think they might sabotage once they realize they say, look, he's not living up to the contract.

Speaker 1

We don't want to get him hurt. On Joe, how many time you seen? You see this all the time in the preseason. They don't let the guy play because they don't want to pay him. So they ain't gonna let his ask get into the last preseason game, get hurt and get that money, so he don't play. You'll see how many here you see that?

Speaker 2

Yeah?

Speaker 4

A lot?

Speaker 5

But you know, you know what would be a good one. Jared Stidham. Jared Stidham, You're gonna see this Jared. If you see this and you're you're really a team player, Jared should get hurt like the first play of the game.

Speaker 4

So Russell Wilson got to come in and finish the next two weeks.

Speaker 2

I'm trying on.

Speaker 1

Oh, Joe, do you know how many other teams watching this tape? Russell Wilson made his money?

Speaker 5

Okay, I mean, I'm just just a little jab back at the Denver Broncos. Just a little jab back at the Denver Broncos. Oh, since y'all want to play games.

Speaker 1

Because here's a thing, here's a guy that's not made a ton of money. Somebody thirty one other team gonna get this film. Now, granted they did the same thing that Derek Carr last year. Jared Stillem started in place in the car. Remember he Jared was supposed to be the guy that breaks to Tom Brady. Now, I don't know how well Jared still Now he's had three second two opportunities New England and the Raiders. This is his

third opportunity. So we're gonna find out. But I know he gonna put his best forward because he's playing for time. The charm right, Russell Wilson is gonna listen, Russell got thirty nine million guaranteed coming, so even even he gonna be able to double depth with the Raiders need to start in quarterback. There are other teams that, uh, there are a lot of teams that need to starting quarterback.

Speaker 5

I think I think the best play for him to go is the Steelers. I said the Steelers, and yeah, early need a quarterback. Don't don't, no, no, don't don't send them to the Patriots. Don't send them to the Patriots. WoT you do that? I think the Steelers you have Tomlin, super Bowl winning coach. You have Russell Wilson, a super Bowl winning quarterback with a pedigree and known what it's like to again.

Speaker 2

Get to the playoffs.

Speaker 5

The Steelers standard, the Steelers standard on always winning and being in playoff contention. That's the perfect quarterback for your situation. You got Pickings, you got Deontay Johnson, listen, being able to hand the ball off the goddamn Jay Harris. I can't remember the other running backs name who've been play and.

Speaker 1

Really well, Jalen what's Jalen last name? I know he's that number thirty for the Steelers. I know exactly.

Speaker 4

I think I think.

Speaker 5

I think it's a match made in heaven based on the resume of Tomland, the resume of God Damn Russell Wilson.

Speaker 4

You don't have to do too much.

Speaker 1

You have great targets, you have a great running game, you got a great coach, great scheme, you have a great fucking defense, a good defense.

Speaker 2

It just it just.

Speaker 4

Makes too much.

Speaker 2

The Falcons to use it.

Where Could Russ Land?

Speaker 4

I don't like it. The Falcons, Atlanta Falcon. No, I don't know that.

Speaker 1

They got Kyle Piitt, they got that, they got the receiver from USC they got Bejon.

Speaker 4

Robertson, Drake London, Drake London. Yeah, it's good, but but we.

Speaker 5

Talked about j Warren, Jayalen Warren. You just you just putting them on the team. I'm thinking about long term and actually have.

Speaker 1

Thirteen years though, Joe, how much long term you think he's gonna play? You think you'll be see everybody thought that I'm gonna play like Brady. I'm gonna play like Brady bro Ain't No.

Speaker 5

No, he If he's not gonna play that long, at least put him on a team that is going to make the playoffs and being contingent for a Trophy. It ain't gonna be the goddamn Falcons, and that's no disrespect to it.

Speaker 1

Joe, shall you date the girl that want you, not the girl you won't?

Speaker 4

I mean, I don't think this.

Speaker 5

I don't think it's still it would turn turn they nose up at Russell Wilson.

Speaker 1

That what you think, Oh, he don't want much of his gay. I made it my last job. Ain't got nothing to do even if they still owe me money. That ain't got nothing to do with you. I mean, how many people fans in the chat. You want your job, your job, Let you go, but they gotta pay you up. They gotta pay you your salary. Let's just say it's one hundred thousand, two hundred thousand. You go to your you got a new job, Well, you know your old

job still paying you. So we only gonna play the hell you say, I ain't working at the old job. I'm working at a new job, so I want new money, badge.

Speaker 5

You know, I don't even think he has the leverage like that anyway, Yeah, I don't think he has a leverage like that. And you don't want to come off in bad taste going to a new team demanding anything, you.

Speaker 1

Man, I want to go and rate. What's the okay, what's the going rate for a starting quarterback? Fighting meal?

Speaker 4

Right now?

Speaker 2

Fault that.

Speaker 1

The cowboy's gonna renegotiate that contract. It's gonna be somewhere between fifty and sixty.

Speaker 4

Yeah, they need to pay it.

Speaker 1

I don't know, but Russell Whiston said, okay to going rate for a starting quarterback. It's fighting meal that ain't got that thirty nine that I got coming. That ain't got nothing to do with y'all. Y'all ain't paid none of that, right right, I'm on your clock now. Look and look, I thought Russell, I thought Russ played well. I know what they're looking at. They say, when when the game is is like when the game is relying on Russell beIN improvisational, that's when he's at his best.

So I don't think Sean Payton really likes that. He likes things a little bit more structured. If you look at the success he had, Drew Brees is more prototypical of what Sean Payton is looking for. Although I think that style of quarterback play is archaic. If you look at the quarterbacks that's having success, most of those guys are more athletic, they're more mobile. Now you look, Jared Goff is not the more mobile. He can take off. He has better legs than Brady and Manning ever had,

Eli Manning ever hanged. But he's not like you know, he's not Lamar. Nobody's asking him to be. But we see Patrick Mahomes how mobile he is. We see a Joe Burrow, We'll see these guys. These guys have become much more athletic. Yes, they can drop back throw the ball from the pocket. But when you got Miles Garrett, and you got Michaels and you got the TJ. Watts,

those guys have become more athletic. So you need a quarterback that's more athletic to be able even though they can't outrun, just buy some time in order to push the ball down the field. Yes, this is all about money. I'm not surprised that they're taking this route. For the simple fact is they don't believe that Russell Wilson is playing up to that contract and he can fulfill the remaining years on that contract. So you know what, we're

gonna cut bait. We're gonna eat thirty nine million. It's probably gonna be somewhere between sixty and seven million dollars in dead money. Now do we do we dip it up over two years or do we just take this blow to the stomach right now? That's that's the only question that the Broncos have. Because the Broncos have already

made their decision. They're moving on in twenty twenty four without Russell Wilson, but then to who to And the thing is they'll probably going the draft, maybe in free agency, I don't know, but they're the they're not they're going on without Russ because think about what they gave up to get him to the first route, by the second, the third or four and three players.

Speaker 5

A lot, which is why the fact that they're getting rid of him so.

Speaker 4

Soon is oh, John me.

Speaker 1

The thing that these teams, a lot of these teams, what they will do once they come to the because a lot of times what you do you're in a relationship, and people, y'all hear me talk about relationships a lot. A lot of time in a relationship, you know that shit ain't working, but at a matter of convenience, you stay ass there instead of just moving on either party. I'm not saying he's wrong or her this or that.

I'm saying people sometimes stay in a relationship when you know it ain't going nowhere lebroncos No, they're not going anywhere with Russell Wilson. So instead of staying and trying to figure it out, let's just move on down the road and guess.

Speaker 2

What and might be.

Speaker 1

Oh, Joe, we've all been in situation. It didn't work out with us. But she has better luck with someone else, or you have better luck with someone else. It's okay, right, And you got to be able to You got to be able to process that OJO.

Speaker 5

Yeah, when you use that analogy, it makes much more sense. It makes much more sense, especially when you put it like that. But to me, with the money that comes into play and the fact that it's only been two years, wait this is here too, Yeah, it's only here two Normally I would think I would think with a new coach coming in, new regime, new owner, just you know, you give it some time. But I guess their mind is made up. I think Sean Payton just maybe didn't

like Russell Wilson. Maybe maybe he just didn't like him. And the fact that Russell has known for a long time that they were at least and get rid of me, was still and was still out there professional and winning games.

Speaker 4

Throw on TDS.

Speaker 5

But and I think that's why Sean Payton barked at him a little bit. He wanted to get he wanted to get a reaction. I think he wanted to get a reaction.

Speaker 1

But that's not really Russe Russ just Russ just took it because, like I said, Joe, I said it. I was like, I'm trying to figure out why he was yelling unless Russell checked to a plate, it was supposed to be quarterback sneak of something. I don't understand how he's yelling at Russ because the damn lineman lined up offside.

Speaker 2

How the hell is that Russ? So I was I.

Speaker 5

Was probably probably did call something, probably did call something he was supposed to call.

Speaker 1

And so that's what That's what That's why I was puzzled. Look but oh Joe, no matter what transpired before Sean Payton got there, everybody was supposed to have a fresh slate. So whatever Russ did or didn't do, that wasn't under your watch. So you shouldn't have felt some type of wall about him. I thought we were starting from scratch.

Clearly that wasn't the case. So no matter what you look, I've been critical of Russ, but I don't think Russ Russ just I shouldn't say he deserved because I hate using that ward deserve.

Speaker 2

I just think the thing is the.

Speaker 1

Broncos felt that Russ wasn't living up and couldn't fulfill the money that was remaining on the contract. Instead of trying to make it, make it, make it work, you know what, Let's just move on. Let's just let's just move on, don't hey. I mean it's really it's really that tough. Let's just move on.

Speaker 2

That's tough.

Speaker 5

But then I think when when owners or they make those type of business decisions, do they think about the other players in the locker?

Speaker 1

You think about they? Do they think about the fans through the fans?

Speaker 5

Because now you're back at square one, because as you got thirty two teams in the NFL, and you need one, there's one important position that you need to compete week in and week out and even think about playoffs or god damn Lombardi Trophy, and that's a quarterback. And you just let one that is a super Bowl win. When it has been the multiple playoffs and one that knows

where it takes to win. And because he wasn't playing well, you know what, because he's making so much money and we're gonna let this go and start the scratch.

Speaker 1

You know why the owners don't care what the fans think, because they gonna buy them tickets and show their ass up in the stands, and you know what, and the ones that can't afford their tickets, they're gonna watch on television. Look at the ratings. Look at the ratings. Oh Joe, that's what the NFL. That's what moves the needle. You see the reason why they wanted wanted them players to stand because it was affecting the sponsors, the advertisers.

Speaker 2

That's what moved them. They don't give it down about them fans.

Speaker 1

Now when the fans like, Okay, we're not gonna watch it, we're not gonna boycott it, like whatever, we'll see. But when the sponsors started feeling some type of way, when the people, yeah see they figured this out, the fans are gonna come regardless when they talk about, oh, boycott, boycott, boycott, y'all, they boycotting because those same people that boycott and Michael

Vick when they came back from the Eagles. Guess what, as soon as the game started to put those damn signs down and it winning the game, they wouldn't watch the game.

Speaker 2

That's what they did.

Speaker 1

And the owners realized that y'all ain't boycotting nothing, and you're watching. That's why the ratings keep going up and up and the TV money keep going up and up. That's why it costs more for everybody trying to get in the live events. That's why YouTube YouTube doing football games. Amazon go from delivering packages to doing football games games. Yeah, come on, now, come on with it. If it makes dollars, it makes sense. One with a C and one with

a neils. Either way, it makes sense. And you know what I'm talking about. So all that talking we're gonna boycott, we're gonna do this, No you're not. You're not gonna do anything. You're gonna show up to the game and pay, and you're gonna watch on television.

Speaker 2

The owners the figure that out.

Speaker 5

And the funny thing about it is is the fans were probably never all join in unison and say okay, we're boycotting. Even worse than that to get the players all to aligned with the same moral compass and values of you know, in order for things to work, in order for things to turn and switch over in our favor, we all got to say, you know what, fuck it, we.

Speaker 4

Ain't doing it.

Speaker 5

It's mean playing until we get guaranteed contracts or whatever it may be, whatever cause it is that you want to fight for. To get all fifty three players on all thirty two teams to get together and do it, all it takes is one time to get the change that you want. All it takes one time, But it'd be a damn the impossible because when them checks, when them checks stopped coming and in September ninth roll around and any of the checks coming in, Man, boy, I don't think done now.

Speaker 1

That's why I'm saying you gotta have a You got to have a process. Though you got it, you can't say, okay, we're gonna we're gonna do this. You say you got to give the players three years and you got to let them know this is what's happening. And hopefully you have enough in the war chest that you can you can withstand a year.

Speaker 4

Mm hmm.

Speaker 1

But oh Joe, look that's that's a tough one because the owners, oh they can.

Speaker 2

Because here's the thing.

Speaker 1

I'm worth a big I go to the bank and says, look, I'm not gonna be able to make this payment on this on this building this month, but I catch you next month. Okay, mister Jones, Okay, mister Kraft, Okay, mister this one. Whoever the owner is of that particular team, let a player say that. Okay, when you got another thirty days, and after that we're gonna start the process. Yeah, oh Joe, I'm just gonna keep a stack with you.

See you see, oh Joe, there's something going on bigger at play here, and I don't know if the people are realizing it, because see, you see what happened if you go back and study our history. And I was a history major, so I'm pretty good and I feel very comfortable in what I'm about to say. You see, you remember in the sixties, the government started giving us thing. They gave us a little civil rights, they gave us a little voting rights. Ack, they give us a little fairhouse.

And then they just a little, a little bit, just a little bit. And you remember in the seventy of road V. Wade they gave us abortion. This is the first generation they're starting to take that ish back and people don't even realize it. Look at it, Look at what they're starting to do. They gave and gave and gave, and then they says, you know what, peace by piece, we'll start taking it back just like we gave it to them, and they won't even notice it. You see

what people do. You don't see. The thing is, you don't steal three hundred million. You're still a million out of time over a period of time. And because they notice it, you see, they take a little bit by a little bit. You see, voting rights, Okay, we're gonna make a little bit more difficult over here. You see your civil rights. You see, and I'm not just talking about black people. I'm talking about anybody that won't right. You see how they take it. You see road v Wade.

They've been they've been going at it. They've they've been pulling and pulling. They've been trying to get it since it was institute. I think it was seventy two. Rob Wade happened in seventy two. If I'm not mistaken, don't quote on that. But I feel pretty confident that it was, and boom, boom, seventy three is seventy three, and so slowly by slowly, shurely but surely, surely, surely, slowly but slowly,

and next thing you know, you look up. So this generation, you better get on your grind now while you out there, while you out there lost it and doing all this crazy stuff, you better look up. You're gonna look up like damn.

Speaker 4

I ain't got did Yeah?

Speaker 2

Yeah, you know.

Speaker 5

The funny thing about I think a lot of people don't pay attention to it. A lot of people don't pay attention to it because it hasn't affected them yet, or it's not affecting them at all.

Speaker 1

No, no, no, you see, it takes a special type of person, you see. It takes a special type of person to have empathy, because empathy that requires you to divorce yourself and see yourself as that person see only see some things can only be seen through the through.

Speaker 4

The eyes that are cried O joe. So if you can't see yourself as homeless, how can you feel? How can you? You see?

Speaker 1

That's why people will give the cancer because they know someone that's been afflicted by that deadly disease. So it's easy to get on. Okay, when someone that's been brutalized, Well, I can't you think Jared Jones can see somebody his family being brutalized. Look at when that flood in Texas. Look at how much the NFL, how they raise that money. JJ wattwork made thirty million dollars. Blessed hard. He was unbelievable one Walter Payton Man of the Year, because you see,

the flood can impact anybody. Water doesn't know if you black or white. Yeah, but you know what, let me let me stop with you. I'm sorry, Oh Joe, I got I'm sorry.

Speaker 2

Chat that now?

Speaker 1

You good that I got off topic. I got off topic. That's I just say. Uh tj Elsworth asked if they're a quarterback in the upcoming draft that you're hoping your Broncos get or a fridge who you believe would fit the team better. Well, look, it doesn't matter what I think. I think Sean Payton thinks he can find someone that would fit the team better. That's what he thinks. They gave a lot of money, O Joe. They gave a lot of money. They gave a lot of power. I know they want to win us.

Speaker 5

And I love I love, I love Sean Payton. He I don't see him as a quarterback whisperer. And I'm not sure what's out there that he think is going to change. Because if you think he was screaming at Russell Wilson two weeks ago or three weeks ago, and have a long ago, it was he gonna be screaming some more, that's he's.

Speaker 4

Gonna be screaming.

Speaker 1

Bill part yelled at everybody. He yelled at Phil Fields, he yelled that Drew Bledsoe, Tony Romo. Uh, he called Terry Glynn.

Speaker 4

Uh, she was hurt.

Speaker 2

I mean, you couldn't do that.

Speaker 1

Now. He wouldn't refer to t O by his name. He said to Blair, I remember that.

Speaker 4

Remember that. I remember that.

Speaker 1

I'm just saying so that's kind of and you have to be careful when you learn, because you you, I mean, you just exhibit a lot of those that that behavior. If you look at the guys that under Coach Belichick, all of them try to be like Coach Belichick. And only only one coach that's ever been a coordinator on the Coach Belichick has had success at really any level.

Speaker 4

That's Nick Saban.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right.

Speaker 2

So uh what what quarterback?

Speaker 4

Though? What quarterback would you say? And I mean.

Potential QB's For Broncos?

Speaker 1

Broncos on picking up Uncle Mayne said, we the Falcon fans don't want Russ nor do we need future sera Russ draw in our locker room.

Speaker 2

Man, y'all all about that? All them out?

Speaker 1

I forget all about that. Uh oh, Joe, I met. Look, I don't know when the Broncos are done a draft. Look, the last thing I think they need to do is give up any more draft capital. Because I think that because here is the thing, O joe, When you give up that kind of draft capital, you give up two first round picks, O Joe.

Speaker 2

He gotta make it.

Speaker 1

He gotta make it because that's the that's the foundation piece at the quarterback. That's the position that that's the position.

Speaker 5

In fact, that's the position that they letting it go too early though, yeah two oh yeah two.

Speaker 1

How long how long you in a relationship before you realize it's time to break it off? Two days, two weeks, two months, two years. That's that's too long. Whatever the two is. If I know it ain't working, it's too long, two minutes, two hours, two days, two weeks, two months, two years.

Speaker 2

It doesn't matter if you o Joe. If you know that's the problem.

Speaker 1

A lot of times people stay in situations when you know he or she ain't gonna change.

Speaker 4

Are they are? They?

Speaker 5

Are they pulling the trigger too soon? Based on him? Based on his numbers? Are they pulling the trigger too soon? His numbers are identical to Patrick Mahomes. Are they pulling the trigger?

Speaker 2

Whatever?

Speaker 1

Because here's the thing, a lot of people say, it ain't Russ fault. They've always blamed the quarterback and you just said it in the Jets. The Jets offensive line isn't very good. Who they blame oo name of situation in which they I mean, hey, I remember the same thing now. When Lamar receivers weren't very good, they blamed Lamar even though he was starting the lefting lesson all star caliber receivers. We put a lot of that upen

to Mahomes ain't playing. Look Mahomes, if Mahomes were playing like he would normally play, maybe he'd be able to overcome some of the inadequacies that's going on the receiver for So guess what he got blamed again, that's just the way it is, o Joe. You make the most money, you get the blame. You get most of the blame.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I'm not saying this right.

Speaker 1

I just understand how it works. It comes because no matter what, Ojo, you can give a kid everything. If the kid doesn't turn out right, they're gonna blame the parents. Mmm give him everything, I like.

Speaker 4

I like that one.

Speaker 2

They're gonna say they gave him too much.

Speaker 1

If the kid turns out bad, they're gonna say, well, the parents didn't love him enough. So you just gotta you just gotta hope for the best. The kid turns out well, so you get the credit. That's just the way it is, o Jo. I didn't make the.

Speaker 4

Rules, o Jo.

Speaker 1

The Packers suspended Joah Here Alexander. The Packers have placed the reserve list conduct detrimental. Packers Jim said that the decision to suspend a player is never easy and not one we take lightly. Unfortunately, jah Here's action prior to the game in Carolina's Carolina led us to take this step. As an organization, we have an expectation that everyone puts team first. While we are disappointed, we had a good conversation conversation with Jaire and this morning, and fully expect

him to learn from this. O Cho, what's my favorite saying, O Joe, you never accept anything in a win.

Speaker 4

You wouldn't have lost.

Speaker 1

Had they lost this game with what he did been okay, yes or no?

Speaker 4

Ojo?

Speaker 2

No, so what?

Speaker 1

And that's what I've been telling you. You see, he's one of your better cornerbacks in the league. And the Green Bay Packers said, what you did, your behavior is so egregious.

Speaker 2

We got to sit you down. We've got to set a president.

Speaker 1

We've got to let our rest of the other fifty one excuse me, the other forty five in the practice squad. Type of behavior is never acceptable. And then the cavalierness of it, o Cho, did you know? Did you not understand what he did? Do you understand what he did?

Speaker 4

O Joe?

Speaker 2

He was not a captain.

Speaker 1

He went on the field for the coin toss, they won the coin toss, the other team won the core talked, he deferred right, So in other words, Carolina was don't get both possessions to start the game and start the second half.

Speaker 2

And he thought it was cool.

Speaker 1

That's what the smugness and the capital alerness of it. I think I got that right on my correct Is that what happened?

Speaker 4

Okay?

Speaker 1

Yes, hey, hey that's how it went. Yeah, you can't do that. You can't do that. You can't do that. But you know it makes me upset.

Speaker 5

You know why it makes me upset because it God, damn Plaker, damn Packards are playing the Vikings. You know who plays for the Vikings? Justin Jefferson. Who the hell for the cover Justin Jefferson. That's what I want to know because I want to see that matchup. I want to see the matchup because Justin Jefferson has been hurt. Jay R Alexander and Justin Jefferson is a matchup that we would all want to see. But the fact that he suspended it is unfortunate. What he did totally unacceptable.

Togy said, not understanding. Come on spending for a game. I don't even know why Charlotte. I get Charlotte, bro, you played for the Packers. Yeah, but even if you, even if you're from Charlotte, what is going on for the coin toss?

Speaker 4

How does that? That doesn't really he.

Speaker 1

Wanted to give he I guess he thought he was doing a solid for the Panthers.

Speaker 4

I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 5

I know one thing that's that motherfucker boy though, and man the man coverage. He's a great corner A very very good corner, very good corner player.

Speaker 2

You know what.

Speaker 5

Packer's out of playoff contingent ut absolutely not damn player content sitting.

Speaker 1

Yes, Yes, they said the precedent win. This is what we gotta. Look, what we gotta let everybody know. You see, punishment is just not for the individual that committee said act right. It is the term other for committing said act. That's what act right. Punishment should be swift, it should be harsh when we deduce the fact, when we get down to it, he or she did eggs. Let's not lie lygain what he did. Yeah, I don't think unacceptable.

Speaker 2

I don't think.

Speaker 4

I don't think they ain't gonna be the same after this too. I don't think. I don' think you're gonna be there. No.

Speaker 1

Well, he trying to get out clearly because didn't they did they send him, did they suspend him last year? Didn't he have some kind of had an issue with them last year? Old Joe, Yeah, I think this has kind of been going back and forth I don't know if he wanted more money, but jaire, Alexander has been having some issues with the package organization for a while. Not if I'm not mistaken, chat y'all, chime in, let me know if I'm right or wrong.

Speaker 5

Yeah, any anytime it gets to this point, obviously, I understand they want to set a president anytime they get to the point of spending one of their best if not there, but that the best corner you know, on the team. And it gets to the point where we're gonna we're gonna suspend them, even with our team being

Jaire Alexander Suspended By Packers

in playoff contention, especially with the game we have coming up, playing against arguably the best receiver in the NFL who just come back from injury. They yeah, they they're sending a message, not not just not just suspending him for this game. But it's a different kind of message if you look at it from the other the other side of the corner.

Speaker 1

I think whether he hurt or they said he was, he was heard or something. But John here Likexader and and they've had issues with him before, And I know I didn't. I didn't miss. I'm not with Yeah. Maybe maybe maybe maybe it is maybe was was y'all here hurt or something, and they wanted him to come back, and he said he was hurt.

Speaker 4

I know he was injured for a little bit this year. I know that.

Speaker 5

I know one thing. When he is healthy, that mother. Come fright, boy, I'm about I'm t about.

Speaker 4

I'm about man.

Speaker 1

Remember remember face that joh justin Jefferson and Minnesota, he went crazy. Yeah, he got them seeing and when he came to the lampboat it wasn't the same.

Speaker 4

And different ball game.

Speaker 1

Well, if I brove, I love matchup.

Speaker 4

I love matchups like that. But I just come on, come on, come on to Cincinnati.

Speaker 1

I'm just trying to figure out why, why would you even why would you even put yourself in this?

Speaker 4

That ol, y'all, I don't know. You know, it's funny him not want to be He might have did it what he did, might have did it no purpose, es Charlotte.

Speaker 5

You know what, let me let me, let me let me piss him off one more time before this season and see if this can help me get out the door.

Speaker 2

Maybe you never know, because.

Speaker 1

Other ways he might have been trying to behind closed doors, ain't Yeah, look like I said, I mean, he's one of the highest paid. Did he had he got a contract extension? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I know he's yeah, he wanted the highest paid. And Green Bay had some talent. You think about Zadarius Smith, who's in Cleveland right now, played really well. Remember Ze went to Minnesota, played well there. They still have Rashon Garrett and still have Preston Smith.

Uh Jaile Alexander. I mean they had a very talent. Look, yeah, they just let they traded him to But the thing was the opportunity that they had when they had home field throughout and they had the championship game on their field and they had all those dogs and they didn't cash it in. And that opportunities don't knock, but so often before it moved on to someone else's door to

knock on. And when Green Bay had that opportunity, you know, they had Davante and they had some of those guys, and you look at what they had on the defensive side of the football, and they couldn't close it out even after they got what they get, three interceptions from Tom Brady and they still didn't win that game. So I just I just hate that John here put himself in that situation. I really hate that.

Speaker 4

Look.

Speaker 2

I just looked, O, Joe.

Speaker 1

I believe that even if I don't like my job, there's something about being a pro and being a professional. And although they're there, they're they're kind of spelled the same. They start off the same, but they're two different things. A professional is the occupation, A pro is who you are.

Speaker 2

The two different things, don't Joe.

Speaker 1

You see, Oh Joe, there's a saying that says change is inevitable, growth is optional, choose wisely.

Speaker 5

Yeah, you're right, you're right, But listen with the way they treat some of those that even act professional and do things like a pro that been inside can make your turn a blind eye.

Speaker 4

That's another saying too. I got that from.

Speaker 1

Alexander miss week three and four with a back injury, played through it in week five because he was facing its former t Bate Davonte Adams, then miss week game seven against the Broncos with the same injury. In week nine, Alexander stuff of the shoulder injury diving to break up a pass and missed six consecutive games before returning Sunny against the Panthers. However, he was never placed on injury reserve during that span. He didn't play any games during

that stretch. Not only that, Alexander didn't travel with the Packers to the Week fourteen game against the Giants after making trips to Pittsburgh and Detroit, the first two road destination after the shoulder injury.

Speaker 2

You see, see what's going on here with you? It's something going on.

Speaker 4

Yeah, yeah, I'm going on in internity. That's why I had to say he did that on purpose. He didn't purpose.

Speaker 1

So I think, I think is that we can see what this thing is headed. It's all it started like, oh show you know how a couple of it starts sleeping in separate beds. That's not something that we talked about, that you start sleeping in separate beds. It's only amount of time. It's only a matter of tized it. He could come on, come on and sence you know what I'm now. You know, don't now the ain't gonna stop me from trying to go up there and shake the

covers up there. That you got you another rule. But now I get it get hard and harder for your boy. You know, I get you're gonna shake the color from dark.

Speaker 5

Listen if you if if if y'all sleeping in separate bed It's already over, like you said, it.

Speaker 4

Ain't no point is shaking the coming sleep in separate beds? For what I'm like t l C.

Speaker 1

I ain't too proud to bed It wasn't wrong with you. You don't want to get out of my faith in proud to be?

Speaker 4

Hey, that ain't that ain't t all?

Speaker 2

I think it is.

Speaker 4

That's that's w that's that's that's w V. Oh ain't I ain't too proud to BEG?

Speaker 2

Who ain't too proud?

Speaker 4

Vogue? That's in vote. I don't know what it is, but I know I I don't know. My music catalog all messed up.

Speaker 1

Huh, I ain't too proud to BEG M temptations, the tim taste it. Hey, somebody to change up?

Speaker 4

Who said that? That is? It is? Yes, I'm talking about I'm talking about s w V.

Speaker 2

We like them too.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Look and remember Cameron Diaz said she she wants to normalize sleeping in separate bad.

Speaker 2

Not Look if she.

Speaker 1

Pregnant, I'm snoring, she can't get a good, nice sleep. She You know what I'm saying. I get that saying it makes it. Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 5

But I think normalized sleeping and separate beds. I said, maybe more so after argument, more so after argument. You know, cooler heads prevailed, go to separate rooms. You never go to bed angry, Never go to bed angry, always finding with it.

Speaker 1

You know what I'm saying. But how you put on your face, I'm gonna make up type of guy. You ain't gonna be bad at all. So clearly something on your mind. You go somewhere else. I got you hold take this to being with you. But you know what, oh Joe, I think that's an older generation thing because my grandmo, my grandmother, and grandfather didn't sleep in the same baby because remember I told you I slept with my grandmother.

Speaker 2

My brother slept with my grandma. That's an older generation thing. I know.

Speaker 1

I know a lot of older people that their parents. When I'm saying older, I'm talking about my age, and their parents didn't sleep together, right, So I think that's an.

Speaker 2

Older generation thing.

Speaker 1

I think now people automatically assume if you're sleep sleeping in separate beds, there's something going on. My grandmother and grandfather have no issues, but they just slept in separate beds.

Speaker 4

So to each you, well.

Speaker 5

Maybe maybe maybe we need to adapt to some of the older ways today, maybe it will eliminate some of the problems that we have in today's era in society that maybe being up under each other twenty four seven, maybe it's not a good thing.

Speaker 1

Well, they wasn't over there twenty four seven because that man was working and normally a lot of times my grandmother was right side of working too, or he was you know, he was offering, my grandmother was doing her thing. So it wasn't this twenty four hour and there weren't all these other options that were available also to either

one of them. Now that's not to say that you know, people didn't get around, because they did, but that's available to this generation wasn't available to even my generation when I was coming up, And that damn sure wasn't available to my mom and my grandparents' generation. So things are a lot different now and much different, much more, much more difficult. I mean, obviously during this day and age and time that we're in now. One of the key

things that you need for one anticipation discipline. That's that's key word.

Speaker 5

That's key keyword in anything, especially in this day and age, because you have access social media over over exposure, over

Couples Sleeping In Separate Beds

exposure to anything, and there will always be somebody finer. There will always be somebody with more money, there will will always be someone with prettier feet, There'll.

Speaker 2

Always be someone.

Speaker 5

Well, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just throwing out all the different things that you'll be able to find.

Speaker 1

Why you can't why you can't say lips, why you can't say leg why you can't can't.

Speaker 5

There always be somebody with bigger, bigger lips whatever, always been some of the bigger ass. I mean, I'm I was trying to hit on all all the different all different characteristics depending on what people like. And you just you got to have discipline to understand that if you're locked in, you got to be locked in. And it's it's it's it's difficult for a lot of people. You know, I I teach, I have a you know, I do therapy.

Speaker 4

You need.

Speaker 5

Not A lot of people come to me to help them with some of the problems that they're having due to the over exposure of the issues with with with them trying to be on point. And I've been I've been guiding people in the right way, so that that's something I'm proud of.

Speaker 1

To have rail so feed in Benegar, have old pickle o rail pickle, got a little pickle feet you.

Speaker 5

No, no, no, no, no no no no, no vinegar over there.

Speaker 1

But I do send her to get the fish treatment pedicure, which is which know all.

Speaker 4

On your feet?

Speaker 1

Yeah yeah, yeah, what about that big fish when you get home to be knowing on them you old big old black white bands.

Speaker 4

You that's the feet mad, I'm about to wake up. Okay, okay, okay, I gonna say that.

Speaker 5

Uh.

Speaker 1

Lamar says the Ravens are underdog. Isn't taking the bait. The Ravens can click the number one seed if they beat the Dolphins on Sunday. The Ravens are three and a half point favorite. When it was pointed out to Lamar that the Ravens are no longer the underdogs, he said, we're the underdogs. We're the underdog. It was just the team that this team is the Ravens. We don't know about the Ravens now. It's oh, they're the number one team. So we're playing We're we're not paying any mind to that.

I feel like if bait, that's clickbait. Well, Lamar, for like the last six weeks, everybody said that you were the second best. You're the number one team in AFC, You're the second best team in the NFL. And you just went to the best team's house, kicked them in their ass, and came home.

Speaker 2

So I don't, you know, and I get it, you know.

Speaker 4

Marriage and marriage them. I don't. I don't.

Speaker 1

Let let me let me tell how we did it. I know that when I was in Denver, I know what we said publicly. Oh, that team is good. Oh their defense is like this here, their offense is so good. They got a lot of good players. Probably we're gonna kick the ish out of them, That's what we said. Yeah, definitely the same. In the Super Bowl, o jo, we played the Packers. Oh man, they got Brad Parr m v P three time MVP, back to back to back. Oh, they just won the Super Bowl last year. They got

Reggie White All Pro. They got Leroy Butler. Oh, they got bread, they got Antonio Freeman, they got Robert Brooks, they got Mark Chamorrow.

Speaker 2

Oh, we just hyping them up. We're gonna kick the drill.

Speaker 5

Yeah, you know, I think how come well, I think it's more frowned upon. I would like players I wish players were. They're not very many that are that are keen on doing so is given the given team Bullietibol material and telling people exactly how they feel instead of being politically correct. They need to bring that back. They need to that back say with joy feel I wish players would do that now, like like deep. You see how Deebo and brad and and Brad Barry were going

at a little bit. It tell people how you really feel about somebody. If you don't think they're good, say it. It's okay. I enjoy the banter back and forth.

Speaker 2

I love it. I love it.

Speaker 1

I think we need more of that instead of every answer being politically correct, scripted.

Speaker 5

Bullet yeah, yeah, everybody. Yeah, man, just let's have some fun, you know.

Speaker 1

Before we head onto that. The Temptations then have a song Ain't Too Proud to Bag in nineteen sixty six, and TLC had a song Ain't Too Proud to beg in nineteen ninety one.

Speaker 5

Oh so TLC the rendition was the original. The Renzo is the Temptations. Okay, I like that.

Speaker 4

I like that. I just learned.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

I think the thing is that's the only time Mike has ever said anything about shall to just make sure. Hey, I know you want to say this, I know, but just do me this one solid.

Speaker 2

Don't say anything. Just pump them up. I think might we go kick that?

Speaker 4

He said?

Speaker 1

I know it? He said, I know eighty four. I know it. So you know I'm pumping them up. Man, Lee Roy, He's tough. He's the best strong safety in the game.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Butler, if they put him on me, I'm gonna beat the Super Bowl MVP. That's what I'm thinking aboutself now. I ain't gonna lie to your job saying if they man please? They said, well, what if Leroy? I said, what if they put Leroy Butler on me? Man the man? If he covered me for the entire game, I emped it my bank account and I leave the country and never come back. See that's they wouldn't have me today. And that was Ocho. That was my absolute pride. I'm

talking about. I'm talking about Zena. I'm talking about they knew more. I'm talking about the crescendo. I'm talking about I'm up here bad please. Hey, you said, look here, you.

Speaker 4

Stop with me bad?

Speaker 2

I would Hey, I wouldn't have to be playing with you now.

Speaker 1

Uh, Farmer Chiefs All Pro returner receiver calls out Mahomes and Kelsey for spoil behavior. When you're screaming and yelling at your player, that permeates negativity. When you have what you have, passion, you have what you have the first five years. That poker face we know we're going to wear it at the end. That permeates positivity. Get back to being positive. It's like my little kids running around for Christmas.

Speaker 4

We don't.

Speaker 1

We got you to Christmas, Christmas tree full of present

Lamar Wants The Ravens To Be Underdogs

and you're acting like four brats. What's your take on what Dante said the human Joye did?

Speaker 4

I mean?

Speaker 5

I like what I understand whe Dante Hall is coming from. I understand where he's coming from. But Dante Hall, you're not in their shoes. You're not putting in the work. You're not understanding the frustrations they're going through. You should understand it. You should understand why they're screaming. You should understand why Travis Kelsey is upset. You should understand why Patrick Holmes is upset. Have you seen what he's been

having to deal with it? I mean, it's common sense, So why even come out saying something like that, Because you understand the emotions and how it feels to go through practice and practice and practice, and to go into games and not and have things not coming to fruition the way you work on of it's tough. It's fun streeting, it really is. I know what I know what that feels like. And Dante Hall should know what that feels like.

Speaker 4

I'm not.

Speaker 1

I understand what he's what he's saying, you know, saying all the right things.

Speaker 5

But come on, man, come on, man. You you played the game. You know why he's screaming. You know why he's frustrated and at.

Speaker 4

Times it's passion. It's okay to short. Don't bottle that ship up. Don't bottle it up. Let that ship out.

Speaker 2

It's okay. Yeah, you know Dante Hall was the first.

Speaker 1

I know, Dad's get credit for the first.

Speaker 4

Yeah. Guess what team he did again?

Speaker 1

Ya?

Speaker 4

No, y'all?

Speaker 2

Oh he did?

Speaker 1

He did in the back man, that was the bull Jove.

Speaker 4

You know it too, nah man, but you you did? You ain't play with Al Wilson well our whatever one that.

Speaker 2

One hit.

Speaker 1

I got, I left and then I came back two o three, So I played three years with that.

Speaker 5

Yay, Okay, oh yeah.

Speaker 1

But oh, now you're talking about some moves. Yeah, man, he was back Dante. Oh yeah, it's a human joystick. Yeah yeah, man. It was like, okay, whatever, when you press two buttons at the same time, whatever you get, you don't know where that man gonna do.

Speaker 4

That's him. That's what you do. That's him.

Speaker 2

You're right by that.

Speaker 1

He was a real Alabama Jalen Moro Milroe says former OC and current Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien told him he should not be a quarterback. He asked, the reporter said, how would you feel if I told you you suck? Look where I am right now? So who gets the last last? Michael Eves teed it. Michael Eves had a

great tweet. What Bill O'Brien was really trying to say that he didn't know how to coach such a talent as Jalen Milroe, But instead of dressing his shortcut his own shortcomings, Bill O'Brien tried to project them onto him onto the player. Sometimes some things, Uh, that's been happening for decades, especially when.

Speaker 4

It comes to black quarterbacks. Yeah, yeah, most definitely, there's nothing new. It's that way.

Speaker 5

It's always it's always It's always been that way, and it will always continue to be that way. It will never change.

Speaker 1

Yes, sir, you didn't have people that when you was growing up say you weren't gonna be nothing. So what's different about this?

Speaker 5

Yeah, my teacher, my teachers at high school still to this day. I see him still to this day. Yes, I see him, man.

Speaker 4

I love you.

Speaker 1

Man.

Speaker 5

What you told me back then, I really appreciate that. I really appreciate that because the litter fine on the front of my ass. I really like that.

Speaker 4

I don't.

Speaker 5

I don't see that as Some see it as a negative. Some going to the dumps, some h I feel bad, or some oh look what he said about me. Me me mentally, I'm.

Speaker 1

You different. Nick Faban told Trey Bond Diggs that exact same thing. Trayvon Diggs came to Alabama as a four star wide receiver. He said, son, I think you should move to dB. Trayvon Diggs is an all pro dB. We gotta stop like, oh this, Oh come on, yes, I get it, I get it, But y'all make it seem like only athletes get told that. I'm sure they're they're musicians. I'm sure they're actors. I'm sure they're entertainers in all walks of life. I was told I'm not

gonna make it. I listened to the one person that told me that I was gonna be something, and I was gonna make it me because what y'all had. Y'all couldn't run for me. Y'all couldn't catch for me, y'all couldn't live for me, y'all couldn't train for me. So how you can tell me what I can be?

Speaker 2

When you not me?

Speaker 5

And those that do tell you when you can't do something, that should be all the motivation you need.

Speaker 4

I mean, honestly, that shouldn't be a motivation.

Speaker 5

You should already be motivated to want to do something anyway, but hearing someone say you can do something should be that much more motivating to want to achieve and attain that goal, whatever it may be, in whatever respective craft that it is you do.

Speaker 4

I like I look, I can't be, but I can't thank you. I like it, and.

Speaker 1

Then when I do it, I like it. I mean all think about o yo. See, my job is not to prove see Jayalen Moreau's jobs shouldn't be.

Speaker 4

To prove him wrong.

Speaker 1

I would prove me right, right, because all the people that told me along the way that, oh, Shanna, you're great in high school, but way do you get to college? And when I got to college, wait till you get to the NFL. All along the way they got to watch me and say, damn, he said that. Damn he said he was gonna do that. He said he was gonna be this. He said he was gonna be that. So why I'm gonna listening to you what you say when you got no Here's the thing, Ojo, You got

no control on what I can or can't do. Yeah, And the best thing about it, I'm not computer generated, so you don't control anything. I control what I become. And I know what God told me. I know what I prayed for. And I didn't pray for you to have an opinion about me because your opinion don't matter about me.

Speaker 4

Mm hmm.

Speaker 2

And that's the thing people get caught up with. He said, I don't care.

Speaker 4

Hill.

Speaker 2

I had women that told me I ain't gonna be nothing, and.

Speaker 1

Dagn Okay, it's okay, oh Joe, okay, watch watch and damn, hey listen. But women women vicious. Now everybody vicious they don't. They don't, they don't. They don't love. They don't like to see the process, but they love the finished product. Of course, they don't like the process, but they love the finished.

Speaker 2

When you hurt, what what you say? What wouldn't you do?

Speaker 4

See?

Speaker 1

You have to look at it from that. Okay, we're about to break up. I'm gonna go my way. I'm gonna go hurry your way. See when you tell me that? What what made you say that? Of all the things that you could have said? Because you know I'm going somewhere you tried to put down in my mind. Yeah, I don't doubt me. You can't contaminate my thoughts because what you say right now can't undo the twelve, fifteen, twenty years that I thought that I knew I was

gonna become something. So one one you uttering, I ain't gonna be nothing. I ain't this, I ain't that. You know you ain't ish Nah what? Maybe I ain't what ish could have been? Do do?

Speaker 2

But I ain't with you no more?

Speaker 4

You know what I'm saying. Don't Joe die here with that? Right right?

Speaker 2

Right?

Speaker 4

Y'all?

Speaker 2

Okay me, I'm unbreakable.

Speaker 4

You know you know you know what.

Speaker 5

The bad part is a lot of people are fold with those words. A lot of people are affected so much by words, especially in today's era, today's society. Oh he said this or she said that. It bothered it. What happened in sticks and stones may break my bones, but words don't. Everybody's so sensitive and so like, oh my god, you can't say that, Oh my god, what are you doing?

Speaker 1

Like so what it's just, it's just words.

Speaker 5

If it don't apply, let it, motherfucking face exactly, if it don't apply.

Speaker 4

Let it.

Speaker 1

Because my thing is if Jayla Moreau believe what one man told him and he let it change it, let him make creeked out in his own mind, Well you wasn't meant to do that anyway.

Speaker 4

Well maybe it worked though, because look at him now.

Speaker 5

Maybe he used that as motivation, motivational, extra fuel, because look at him now.

Speaker 2

The play that he made against Auburn.

Speaker 1

Yeah, the play of the plays that he made against number one Georgia and to get his team in the college football playoffs.

Speaker 4

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, So, young man, don't worry about what somebody tell you, what you can't do. Believe what you told yourself you could do, and that's all that matters. Uh. The Daily Hustle said, this has been the most passionate OHO I've ever been with the honest critique. He's finally getting he's finally gave in. Been on his thing today, he's been on his thing.

Speaker 4

What what U?

Speaker 2

Yeah, you've been on your grind today.

Speaker 4

I just I been. I've been me though, I've been, I'm always.

Speaker 1

He's saying, this is the most passionate OHO have ever been. And he and with honest critiques. You can That's what I've been trying to tell you what you could you could be you.

Speaker 4

I ain't been. I ain't been honest before.

Speaker 2

Sometimes they feel you you misrepresent the truth.

Speaker 4

Oh my bad bad. Uh? Today is Themsel's sixty ninth birthday.

Speaker 2

Yes today?

Speaker 5

Hey what that's what you uh? That's that's my boy, that's my boy name. I got a story, I know, I got a story. What you got ain't no?

Speaker 4

But wait't really no story.

Speaker 5

Nobody can say they got cursed out by Denzel Washington except me.

Speaker 2

What do you curse you out for.

Speaker 5

Acting a fool? Acting the fool? When I was talking, when I was this, you know how to how to?

Speaker 4

You know?

Speaker 5

I had the NFL team acting disfrontled and were trying to get out of Cincinnati and the Redskins and office Cincinnati too first round picks and the bangles, and Mike Brown was like, you ain't gonna set that president. Think all you got to do is act a fool and we're gonna trade him out of here. Man, your head back now. So he was getting on me. We were sitting the course side and have my son with me. Uh c j was, I don't know how whole.

Speaker 1

Damn mother, you look like you seventeen? What year was this was the internet even available?

Speaker 4

Don't do it be like that?

Speaker 2

Yeah? But uh what year was there?

Speaker 5

Custing my ass out? I don't I don't remember. I don't remember. I took I got a matter of fact, I got tickets from Kobe.

Speaker 4

Kobe.

Speaker 5

Kobe got me course, I see, because you know I wouln't paying him no course at seats not back then.

Speaker 1

Shit.

Speaker 4

But that that was, that was that was that was. That was a great.

Speaker 5

Experience, man, And being able to sit next to Jenza and get my ass cussed out.

Speaker 1

My son don't know what's going on. He looking at he looking the wrong way? Yeah, he uh, I mean I'm looking at it. That looked like it's about two thousand and nine.

Speaker 5

Yeah, okay, yeah around then, maybe two thousand and eight, two thousand nine, because I remember I was, I was in trouble the bank man, I was.

Speaker 4

I was trying. I was trying to get up out of there.

Speaker 5

We had we had just had to loser season, and I was trying to do things behind closed doors. And obviously know they always leak ship somebody always leaks something.

Speaker 1

Well, you keep them behind closed door because you already be talking about you a toll.

Speaker 2

You be on toes and elbows and all kind of holes.

Speaker 5

Yeah, ain't nothing, ain't nothing wrong. Ain't listen, gonna get we'renna get you on some toes. Now, we're gonna get you on some toes.

Speaker 2

I don't know.

Speaker 5

Listen, if you eat pig feet, if you get raccoon soup and all the other stuff, and if you get rod killing whatever else you're eating, you can.

Speaker 2

You off the muscle with that? Oh you okay? We can we work up to that.

Speaker 5

There is no reason at our big age that we can't meet somebody on the first date.

Speaker 4

And go all in. What are we waiting for? Will you all my tongues to the middle of the table.

Speaker 5

Yes, yes, when when you play I don't even play poker. I ain't even know gambler.

Speaker 1

You know how you when you're all in or are you put in? Normally when they I mean sometimes they try to bluff you off your hand.

Speaker 2

But a lot of times when they.

Speaker 1

Go all in, oh yo, they got they got, they got, they got it, they got the goods.

Speaker 4

Nah.

Speaker 5

Nah, Listen, life is short and you never knowing it's time to go. So when they have an opportunity, you need to go all in.

Speaker 4

Well, I need I need to see, you know, I need to see the flop.

Speaker 1

You know, the flop is the first three cards, and I held I might need to see the turn, which is the next car, and then the river's on the end.

Speaker 5

Okay, so you you speaking terminology that I don't understand. I was with it for a minute, but I don't gamble, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 1

I mean, I don't know, I don't know what you So you know I've known Denzel because his son used to train with my trainer, John David when he went to Morehouse, and so I met him a couple of times. And then just this year when Lebron broke the record. Uh, he was at the game and I got an opportunity

to talk to him. I hadn't actually, I hadn't seen him personally since John David was a student at Morehouse, and so it was great to catch up with him, and I got an opportunity to meet his wife, John David's mom, Pauletta.

Speaker 4

Uh, it was, it was.

Speaker 1

It was great talking to her and meeting her and h Denzel has been great, you know.

Speaker 2

Actually they filmed the movie Glory in Savannah.

Speaker 4

Hey, glok man, listen. That was his first that was his first role.

Speaker 1

He got best supporting actor with Matthew Broder would lead.

Speaker 5

When we talk about movies, and I don't think a lot of people in the chat of seeing Glory if you would have asked me the name my favorite Denzel movies, Glory's always been number one. It's always been number one because Denzel is one of the few actors a lot of people love to say he played.

Speaker 4

The same character.

Speaker 5

Well, he played the same character to you, because you don't watch the rest of his movies.

Speaker 4

Glory, he had range.

Speaker 5

John Q is a completely different character from he was in Glory and then when he's in Fensis Fence is different characters from the person in John Q and Glory. That is the range in the Denzel that I've grown to love. And if you ask people what's your favorite Denzel movie, they say the same stuff. They say Training Day, Malcolm X, they say Malcolm X, they say A Man on Fire. He's a great method actor. He's one of the methods. So him playing the role of somebody else is easy because it's art.

Speaker 2

That's what he's the character.

Speaker 5

He gets in the character extremely well. When you watch Training Day, that's Denzel. If you sit down and talk with him, that's him. He's not even acting, He just being himself. And you would never understand it until you actually meet him and sit down and have a conversation with him. There are a few people on earth, and one of your good friends, one of my good friends is one of them as well, that can command the ear when they talk. M Lose one of them. Ray

Lewis is another one. Dion Sanders is another one that can command the ear when they talk. I'm about it's captivating when they speak and the way they wor things in the dialogue. It just it's It's unbelievable in a sense I don't even know. I don't know how to explain it. It's something about Ray when y get the preaching or Rey get to talking to you or get to talk to you that we talked about in a

serious amount of not not the dion. Everybody on the chat got to see I'm talking about something that got to do business or something they have to do with life or relationships or something like that. So it's unbelievable seeing them getting that mold of serious.

Speaker 1

Your top five movies was Inside Man. I love that movie with Clive Owen and uh oh yeah, Jodie Foster Q would tell Edge of four and Christopher Plumber, Oh no, deed are Man. So I got Training Day my top five with Training Day, Malcolm X, Fences, Crimson Tide, Cry Freedom. I don't know if you remember Cry Freedom. You should did your top ten. Okay, we're top ten because five Inside Man, Devil in Blue Dress, Harlem, Nights Man on Fire. Look, I love American Gangster, I love Deja Vu, I love

you know, I mean, look, it's so hard Hurricane. It is just so hard hard because he plays the role.

Speaker 4

So well well. A flight I mean like like old the story.

Speaker 5

Yeah, so the story school Pelican listen, Pelican, brie, Pelican brief. All right, my my top ten obviously number one is Glory two and John Q three expenses four for me is his wife.

Speaker 4

Then I'm going Malcolm X Man on fire, remember the guy? Damn tired?

Speaker 5

I get with that inside man. Then I got flight, then I have training day.

Speaker 2

Hey, we ain't even mentioned American gangster.

Speaker 4

Think again.

Speaker 5

That's but that's that's that's Denzil, that's him. He don't really he didn't have to do much. You know, he's in character.

Speaker 1

He's pulled, he's he's portraying Frank Lucas, but it's still mobile. I don't know how to explain it better. Boy, people people don't remember him. That was really that's the only movie I can remember. He played Devil in Blue Dress, uh with, which was a comedy with the.

Speaker 4

What's the guy's name?

Speaker 2

Mouse?

Speaker 1

What's the black guy name? He from Denver with the Denver East High School? What's the actor in h Devil

Favorite Denzel Movies

in Blue Dress?

Speaker 2

That's my guy? And Don cheatleh don chetas John that's my bad. I could thank him. He from Denver. I used to see him all the time, went to Denver East High School.

Speaker 1

Man. But then I mean it just goes to show you, Denzel, how long he's been great. Yeah, that's I mean, shows you how long he's been great? Not good, great, great great? And so you know, I love I'm not gonna say it. I mean I've seen just about everything, you know, everything that Philadelphia. I don't know if you remember the Philadelphia with Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks is another one that got ranged, I mean big and flat and you know, oh man, Philadelphia with him and rode to tradition, uh far As Gunk.

Speaker 5

Look look, man, listen, those are some of my favorite actors when we talk about rains, Tom Hanks, obviously Denzel.

Speaker 1

Remember you know every yeah Noring from from Fear.

Speaker 2

What was that movie he was in? But he was against had all them tattoos.

Speaker 4

Oh my, uh man, that was a good one. That that was a good one. What about.

Speaker 5

God Lias it's slipping my mind. McAvoy, McAvoy, yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely yeah, crazy crazy.

Speaker 1

They got I mean guys, the guy you know, another guy that doesn't get the credit for the range and he's passed Robin Williams, Robin Williams had.

Speaker 4

Crazy was the real deal?

Speaker 2

Great? He look, I love him. I love Samuel Jackson.

Speaker 4

Missed out fired the pan.

Speaker 2

From Samuel Jackson. When he was Samuel Jackson was holding up mcdowells. He was sweeping the floor.

Speaker 1

From the time he was Gator, he was as you know.

Speaker 4

Mhm, what's the one where he was the teacher, coach Carter?

Speaker 1

Professor? You talking about Samuel Jackson, You talking about rob What was the movie? What you talking about? He was, mister, uh.

Speaker 4

Not?

Speaker 1

Do I know?

Speaker 4

I know exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 1

It was more of a serious movie. I know he was a professor. I can't remember the name of it.

Speaker 4

I can't. I can't think of that. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 1

But man, oh Joe, you have twenty minutes to survive, just twenty minutes for one hundred million dollars to survive, wy you got to survive a bear, a tiger, a croc or hippo?

Speaker 2

Which one? Which one?

Speaker 4

You check? Take it? We all did crazy. We are come on, man, for one hippo, you're not.

Speaker 1

You're not the most dangerous. And because they kill more people in Africa than any of them in Africa than any any territory list. That's why, that's why, that's why you said I name and I said, you're not the problem.

Speaker 2

We were in dead ports society. Somebody just put it up in the.

Speaker 4

Check dead poor society. That's it. That's it, that's it, all.

Speaker 2

Right, great job.

Speaker 4

What was it?

Speaker 1

What was it? What was it?

Speaker 4

Animals?

Speaker 2

A tiger, a crock or hippo. Oh well, crocker, I got it.

Speaker 3

Speaker 4

I had to hear it.

Speaker 1

I just gotta get him on this. See all of his pressure is doing this. Yeah, once I keeps got his mind floor, I got it, flippy on his back. Wait, hold on, do you know how strong.

Speaker 4

Man? Man? You're gonna get yourself hurt.

Speaker 1

Speaker 2

Meal I'm gonna have I'm gonna have I have gaina tail for lunch.

Speaker 4

Speaker 2

I willa have gaya tail and I'm gonna have me some fresh boots.

Speaker 4

Uh h. We talked about animals.

Speaker 2

Animal.

Speaker 4

What's about?

Speaker 1

And you do realize the most dangerous animal ever creative of the man. They cause more destruction than any animal ever.

Speaker 4

Yes, yes, when we, when we, when we, when we are.

Speaker 1

Calling to destroyer, have destruction. I'm taking my chance the crock. Give me the crop, Give me the crop.

Speaker 2

You're not gonna make it.

Speaker 4

There's so many different variables that come into play the size of the croc. Are you in water laying?

Speaker 2

I got him? I got him.

Speaker 4

You know how you know how long? Twenty minutes? Do you know how long? Twin?

Speaker 2

Get him on the back? I must say, Hey, I would put it, get him on his back?

Speaker 4

Hey, you sound like the dudes on Twitter too.

Speaker 5

Oh, if it was me and a gorilla, you better help the gorilla because I can whoop a gorilla.

Speaker 4

Not understanding the strength and power that First.

Speaker 1

Of all, a chimpanzee is two to three times the chimpanzee is two to three times as strong as the average man a silver back of eight times time.

Speaker 4

Yeah, I don't think people understand that. They just look at videos and things like.

Speaker 1

Do you see, oh, muscle man. I want no part of the silver back. I don't want no part of the silver back. I want no part of no grizzly bear. I don't want no part of no tiger, because you have to understand they can take down. I mean even the crocodile. Crocodile is less dangerous. I mean now we're talking about in the in the habitat, so I feel comfortable comfortable.

Speaker 2

On the ground than I do.

Speaker 1

The hippo just as dangerous any where many water.

Speaker 4

I don't want no part of it.

Speaker 1

I could kill a bear, a bear, a tiger, they're just as dangerous on either. But I like my chances better against the crocodile on the land as opposed to any of these other animals on land.

Speaker 4

You got no chance with the hipo, the bear, and plus how like you said, how big is the space.

Speaker 1

Because you got no chance, you got no chance against a tiger or I don't care if thin of a given damn how big the space is, because once it sees you.

Speaker 4

It's a rap.

Speaker 5

Think about this you you you haven't had cats before? Have you ever seen a cat's reflexes? Just a regular domexic cat. Now imagine the reflexes of a lion, a tiger, ojo. You could take a cast worse, you could take a cat and hold his by his legs and you got him. He's this far and you drop it that Yolandelin feet later on his feet crazy.

Speaker 2

Oh he got. That's why they say, oh he got catl like reflexes.

Speaker 1

Speaker 1

Yeah, I mean, but I think what has happened now and then when we see Meryl Street, we already think, okay, that roles that Oscar.

Speaker 2

So we don't really we don't.

Speaker 1

Like I said, a lot of these you know, every role is not but it's just like it's just something about Meryl because she's been nominated so many times.

Speaker 2

It's kind of like Denzil. They give such an outstanding performance.

Yeah, hey, I mean, yeah, they've been They've been bad a long time.

They've had some good players, good players, you know, I molded up to remember when they drafted Billy Sims, who won't the Heisman at Nebraska. Excuse me, Oklahoma, I'm sorry. Barry also wore that number. A good friend of mine, Jay Ball with a nose tackle that Robert Porchet with the South Carolina State. They've had some you know, obviously Megatron and Matthew Stafford, good friend of mine who's in the Hall of Fame, Lim Barney, he wore twenty. It's

just something about that twenty. Unfortunately, nobody else is gonna be able to get it now because Lim warred, Billy Sims war and Barry Ward, so they've taken it out of circulation now. But yeah, obviously Dan Campbell deserves some Coach of the Year and he might win it. I mean, it's gonna be hard. I mean you look at they still has an outside chance of getting home filled throughout the playoffs. I think that would go a long ways. A. Marve said, oh, how you lie? He said, you don't

want no smoke? Beat the Brakes A Hermit more out, Yeah, Herman, or you're younger than me, herm Hey remember John John?
