Speaker 5

Doug, you appreciate you.

Speaker 1

Appreciate you.

Speaker 5

I don't know yet, but I appreciate you.

Speaker 1

It's that deserve to get credit. Let's get right into it, Ojo.

Speaker 2

The thunder Go on the Road, even the series up Take Back Home Court a very hard Paul victory.

Speaker 1

They went one hundred ninety six.

Speaker 2

Shay Gildens Alexander was again he was exemplary thirty four points, eight rebounds, five cents two still two blocks fifty from the floor. Chit Holdrid eighteen points, nine rebounds, four blocks six to nine had the most playoff box twenty three by rookie Si Serge Obaca. Luca Tonight has seven turnovers and six bucket missed the game time free throws.

Speaker 1

He and Kyrie have not been playing well.

Speaker 2

With exception of that one game in which Luca played really well on the road in Game two.

Speaker 1

One, he and Kyrie have yet to put a game together.

Speaker 2

PJ Brid has been playing unbelievable, but he wasn't enough to night and being down by as many as fourteen points late in the ball late in the third quarter and down.

Speaker 1

By as many as eight point nine points in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2

The OKC Thunder comeback, snatch you back home court, home court, and now they go back home for Game five and see if they can go up three too.

Speaker 1

Watching the game, Oh Joe, what did what did you like? What you saw from the Thunder?

Speaker 5

I mean, obviously what I what I saw from the Thunder? Sga, sga. I'm gonna just say SGA because I always pronounced his first name wrong.

Speaker 1

Shakee.

Speaker 5

Shae is doing doing what he's doing, obviously, his supporting cast has been phenomenal on his part and everyone everyone helping as well. Lou Dort had a good game, finished with seventeen points, obviously set homegroom as well. So there,

Thunder Beat Mavs

I'm not gonna say. I'm not gonna say that their top three because that wouldn't be their top three.

Speaker 1

Players, right, Jalen Williams, Shae Jaylen.

Speaker 5

Okay would be. But if you don't have any output from Luca Kyrie not playing with who only had nine points, if I'm not mistaken, correct, But PJ. Washington again for the second time in the series being the leading scorer and doing his part. But the two superstars, the two headed monster that should be playing phenomenal or to par is one of the reasons why the series is now tied, right, and.

Speaker 1

They should be.

Speaker 2

They probably should be up considering you're getting that kind of production from your third guy and you're not getting your superstar. You're not getting the production from the guy that you count that you're counting on, that you're depending on, Right, I don't know what's going wrong with Kyrie? I mean this Kyrie is this is not the Kyrie that I'm used to seeing. I don't recall him playing as bad

as what he's playing, as being as inefficient. He's not taking a whole lot of shots, he's not scoring a whole lot in the first half. You kind of overlook it because he's kind of gotten it going on a couple of games in the second half. But for whatever reason, he could not get on track tonight. Luca had been very inefficient with except maybe one game and the turnovers. Lucas beat up, but he's gonna have to find a way. You can't get every call. You gotta stop flopping because

you're laying on the floor. They're getting back up the court and they're getting shots off in your man's score, and they got off a couple of three. They got some layup because you're back there arguing with a call, expect him to get a call, and they're not give you the call. They gotta let them play tonight, and so give give Okac. They knew they had to have this game. You don't normally team that go up three

to one. For the most part, went about ninety percent to get times right, and because you're going back home three, you go up three to one, and you're probably gonna end up going back home for game five, so you're gonna be in front of your whole crowd. But give the OKC thunder credit. They're they're the number one seed for a reason. I didn't and and and my research. Before this, they had the most ten point comfort behind wins.

So that shows you that even though they're a young group, they're resilient and they feel that they're in any game because they have that guy finished second in the MVP. Some of the shots that he made even when they were down eight ten points that kept them attack, that didn't let the MAVs get up by twelve, get up by fourteen again in that fourth quarter, he made a shot I think the tie the game up from the from the side, shout it over the corner of the backboard.

Speaker 1

Can't hit nothing but new So this.

Speaker 5

Is a good question for me on the outside looking in obviously, if you're betman, if you're gambler man, and you say, well, you look at the series, Okay, see being a very young team, but like you said, they are resilient. But you think the Calves are gonna run away the Calves. I think the MAVs are gonna run run away with this series, but obviously that's not it. So Chad, I'm asking you too as well. Do you think the MAVs still have a shot winning the series or well the young Oklahoma team not?

Speaker 2

If not, if Luke and Kyrie don't play better than what they played the first World game, I'm surprised that it's too too considering how Poorland, Luke and Kyri overall.

Speaker 1

Now they put.

Speaker 2

Kyrie put together a couple of second half, but overall, now he's playing, he's playing some pretty good defense, give him ready for that, but Luca had been wildly inefficient. But yes, they can win this series, but they're gonna have to play better. And without them playing better, don't I don't see them because and plus, you gotta make your free throws. They shot just as many free throws as the OKA See. The difference was Okay, see missed two out of twenty two. The other team missed twelve

twenty one. So when you missed that, when you missed that many free throws, that's especially the games are so close because these are two I believe evenly matched ball clubs. But you gotta find way. You gotta find way. Your two guns gotta find ways to play well. But give them oka See credit because like I said, they could have easily rid running, run and hide.

Speaker 1

They getn't.

Speaker 2

They fought, they scrapped, and when they got the lead, you see what happened, the MAVs started turning the ball over. Lucas trying to get into a rhythm. He taking unnecessary shots. He's turning the ball over and they're getting runouts. Okay, see, they found a way to stay close to the ball game. And then the last clutch time, Shay took the game over. But they hit a big shot. Door hit a big three, Checked Holmgan hit a big three. But lou dor underscuwed me.

Shay Gill just took the ball game over, and that's why they're going back to OKC. Tied to to The Celtics beat the calv minus Donovan Mitchell one O two one O nine to one O two. Jaylen Brown had twenty seven points, eight rebounds. He was two or three from the three. Jason Tatum had thirty three points, eleven rebounds, five assists, put them put the calf on the brink of elimination, and the Celtics are all very close, one game away from advancing back to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 1

Jason Tatum played well.

Speaker 2

Uh, they got the contribution from Jaylen Brown through Holiday played extremely well and they were able to beat the Calves minus Donovan Mitchell.

Speaker 1

And you see Darius Garland played much better.

Speaker 2

I think he defers too much when Donovan Mitchell is in the game because he had his best game of the series all for not it was in a losing but the Celtics go on the road. Now they go back, all with chance to clinch and get some much needed rest and say, okay, Nick's in the huh Pacers, you guys fight it out.

Speaker 1

We're at home. He'd be picked up ready for whoever wins.

Speaker 5

It's unfortunate for the Calves. Obviously Donovan Mitchell didn't play. Darius Garland played it much better. And now there's no there's no pressure on you. You have to take the shots. You have to take the shots that you would be reluctant to take, allowing Donovan Mitchell to somewhat takeover games and take some of those opportunities from you. Now with it's funny that Donovan Mitchell didn't play, but the score line was closer this game as opposed to when both

of them played the previous game. And it's it's weird

Celtics beat Cavs

how that the game of basketball works. Obviously, I understand it's the game of runs, is a game of rhythm and consistency, consistency from certain players, But it's funny how your superstar doesn't play, but the ending of the game is much closer when everybody somewhat played for the calves on their end. Listen with Jaylen Brown and Dominan Mitchell,

I mean, Donovan Mitchell. With Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum playing the way they're playing, ain't nobody's beating them right now, especially when they're playing efficient and when Derek White, when he finally gets it rolling again, like I saw him play against the Heat and be very efficient from the field, which he hasn't been since since that Heat series, they might be the one to be holding that trophy at the end of the season. Coming at these.

Speaker 2

Well, you know, Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, they're gonna have to give you, and they they probably average about fifty three points between the two of them.

Speaker 1

If I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 2

They gave you sixty to nineteen rebounds, and that's what you have to have from those guys. But you're absolutely right. You're gonna need Holiday, You're gonna need Derick White, You're gonna need that third option. And as long as they get the third option contributing, they're gonna be just finding. Now, mind you remind you that Christophe Razinger's hasn't played in this series. He's recovering from that string cap. And so you know you got thirty three or eleven of twenty five.

Jason Tata played forty five minutes. Holiday played forty three minutes. Gave me sixteen seven and five. Derrick White didn't play particularly well. He was one of six, one of four. He had five points. Jason Kate, excuse me. Jaylen Brown played thirty four minutes nine of fifteen, two or three.

Speaker 1

He's been very efficient in the series. Twenty seven part points.

Speaker 2

Peyton Pritchet, another guy comes off the bench, reminds you a lot of TJ. McConnell's gonna give you great hustle. Plays's gonna knock down shots. It's gonna be a pest up and down the court. He was three or five three or four from three he had eleven points. Luke Cornett had nine points, and Howser came up the bench he only had two points. But they got production from where they needed it. Although Dereck White now Horford didn't

give him a whole lot of points. The big guns played well, and then you get Holiday chipping in with sixteen and Freyton Pritchett chipping in with eleven. The Celtics, the question is what Celtic team's gonna show up. You never know from game to game what's gonna happen. They were twelve or thirty two from the three point thirty seven percent. You could live with that. The head coach, Joe Mizzoula probably wants them to get up somewhere around forty to forty five three want to try to make

somewhere between fifteen and twenty three. You look at the Cavaliers. They got thirty points from Darius Garland twelve to twenty seven, four thirteen. Evan Mobley gave you nineteen. Karris Lebert, who's in the starting lineup because Donald Mitchell was out, he gave you nineteen. Mike Scruce gave you fifteen. I mean

they played really well. I mean to think the game would be this close minus Donovan mitchell I probably didn't see that coming, and probably the Celtics probably let down just a little bit because they know one of the high powered guys fast folding team is.

Speaker 1

Our icipably not yet.

Speaker 5

Well. You know the funny thing about it, if if Donald Missi is out with a calf string, there's no way he's going to be able to play the following week, the following game. So it's safe to say, obviously, I'm assuming the selfsup was gonna move on and whoever the winner out of ind the Pacers in the next series. What are the chances if the Pacers win the series? What the chances if the Knicks win the series? What chances do they have in during some Celtics.

Speaker 1

I think.

Speaker 2

Pacers for me, because offensively they can get up and down in the bench. The problem with the Nets, say, is is that they have no depth. They're already without They're already without Julius Radam, They're already without Robinson. I was reading the day he had ankle surgery. You don't know how long. Maybe I by Donald Bench is gonna come back. I don't know about that, And you did

it with og Amnoby's hamstringing. So you're down four starters and you only played I think they only played seven guys.

Speaker 1

They played a lot of guys.

Speaker 2

They emptied their bench because they were down by as many as forty three points. But when you start shortening your bench as much as the Knicks will have to shorten their bench, and you ask the guys to play as many minutes as you're asking them to play, I just see how the Knicks could really holds a problem. Now if Jalen Brown goes crazy, which he's more than

capable of, d Vinchimzo, Josh Hart. You know, they didn't have their best games last game, but if they played kind of like they played in game what was that game three?

Speaker 1

Game two, yeah they got a chance.

Speaker 2

But I still would like the Pacers because I think they can get up and down, They're gonna run, they can make shots.

Speaker 1

The question is Tyres Halibert.

Speaker 2

You see, when he plays well, the Indianna offense looks really, really good, and he needs to play well. He can't be afraid to shoot the shot. Siaka needs to play better. I mean he didn't need to do much yesterday. I think he only attempted like five or six shots yesterday. But I would like the Pacers. I'm not saying either team could beat the Knicks, I mean beat the Sceptics, but I would like the Pacers of the series more

so than I would like the Knicks. Now it's time for our first saging the other day, and it is a news cap. Drafting Bronnie Lebron James Junior doesn't guarantee you his dad Lebron James. Rich Paul has made an effort to play down the idea that Lebron James would be a package deal with his son Broddie this offseason. Ryan Windhorse said, Rich Paul has a recent months indicated behind the scenes that's selecting Bronni James doesn't guarantee Lebron will sign with that team.

Speaker 5

Look please, yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah maybe in two three years.

Speaker 5

No, absolutely not. Lebron doesn't want to play two or three more years. Lebron has waited for this opportunity for his son to get drafted. Yes, and I think it's going to be a package deal wherever Bronni goes. Where I let you want to bet, yeah, I mean the writing is on the wall. The writing is on the wall.

Speaker 1

In Chinese and I can't read this.

Speaker 5

Lebron James has played this long and had an illustrious career to continue his reign at the top until his son reached because his dream as a father training his son would be to always at one point play with

Newscap

his son on an NBA team. Now, wherever that NBA team is that Bronny goes to, I guarantee you Lebron goes as well.

Speaker 1

Not this year, not next year.

Speaker 2

Well, I believe, I do believe that Lebron wants to play with his son. Just a matter of fact of having your son in the NBA while you're still playing.

Speaker 1

Give it a beat in and of itself.

Speaker 2

Now to have a King RIFFI junior situation where senior

Bronny and LeBron

plays with junior.

Speaker 1

But see that was a special situation.

Speaker 2

If I'm not mistaken, I think the Rangers granted him his release so he could go play with the Maritis, so he could play with his son. I think the thing and the difference is Senior was not playing as well. If Lebron seniors playing in basketball, so it was a lot easier. Do I believe at some point time before the Ron James will leave the NBA, he'll play with the Sun.

Speaker 1

Yes, I do. I just don't believe it's next year.

Speaker 5

I don't think it'll take that long. I don't think it'll take that long. Obviously Lebron, Lebron is very strategic and all that he does, MAV, the team, Rich Paul, they're all very strategic and methodical and everything that they do. I think we think a different way on how things would happen. Maybe Lebron doesn't want to play two or three more years just to be able to play with his son, and I think he has the power in the Cachet to to make it happen. How they're going

to make it happen, we obviously don't know. They know, and they have a plan. The plan has been set in place for many, many of years. But it's just this is just not something that just happened. And I think the plane is going to play out, that he's going to play with Lebron probably this year. I don't know. I don't want to say guarantee. I think it's going to happen.

Speaker 1

But here's the thing than we think.

Speaker 2

Here's the issue also is just because if BRONI ready to play in the NDIA, just because you get drafted, you might have to go to.

Speaker 1

The G League.

Speaker 5

Okay, that's a good one. That's a good.

Speaker 1

This is what I'm thinking. Lebron James.

Speaker 2

Look, he's gonna be involved with the coach, he's gonna be involved with the Lakers with Fridge. I don't believe Lebron would be in a situation where he's like, Okay, I like this guy, like this guy, like said guy, and Fredd you said, I want this guy with this guy, and then all of a sudden he goes sign and go play with the son.

Speaker 1

I don't believe that's gonna happen this year.

Speaker 2

Well, I believe before Lebron James leading it leads the NBA that he plays with his son absolutely, because the likelihood of that happening again isn't very good now unless somebody had a child while they were in high school.

Because the likelihood of somebody playing this long again, Oh Joe be cause think about Yeah, there are a lot of guys that have kids, and they might have a kid that's five or six years old, but once the likelihood of them playing another fifteen years, another sixteen years till the kid is old enough to reach this level.

Speaker 1

It just so happened to.

Speaker 2

Be that Lebron was extremely blessed that he was able to play. And I think I think he had Bronni in two thousand and four, two thousand and five, which allowed him, right, because I think Bronn is like nineteen oh four, so you see, so that allowed him. Now Lebron came to the league in two thousand and three, right, So we have a kid one year into his career and now here we are two decades later.

Speaker 5

That's crazy.

Speaker 2

Yeah, And so the likelihood of that happening is not if probably you won't see it again.

Speaker 1

You don't see it very often.

Speaker 5

That's why I don't think it would take that long. I mean, I understand what you're saying, and I think if Lebron, I think because of I'm not going to say favoritism in general, but because it Lebron's son, I think certain things will be put in place to where it's accelerated a little bit more as opposed to him having to go to G League. As far as development goals, I think he'll be on the NBA team. I think he'll be on the NBA squad.

Speaker 1

You think he gets drafted in the first round.

Speaker 5

From my understanding based on what's coming out of college. I believe so, I believe. I believe so, yes, for the simple fact that I think behind closed doors there might be rumblings that wherever look, wherever Bronni goes, there's a chance Lebron goes comes there as well. And then

you know what happened. If you get even a thirty nine year old Lebron on your team, you know what it does for not just your city, not just for your franchise, but to me, it damned they'll put you in contention, even though he's not the same Lebron of old.

Speaker 2

Right, I just don't see it. I just don't see it happening. You look at lebron numbers. He was twenty five seven rebounds, eight assist playing at an extremely high level, and I just don't see him leaving the Lakers now.

Speaker 1

Do I see him leaving the Lakers? Now?

Speaker 2

The question is I believe he's going to opt out of that contract? Does he sign a two plus one two years for a option for a third. Now that makes it a lot easier for him to determine, because I can opt out of the contract and I can go be a free agency and I don't mess up your cap situation signing me because my son is on your rocks. So I believe that's more likely to happen two years plus an option, because I think Lebron believes

in his heart of hearts that he said it. I can play as long as I want to, as long as my mind, as long as my body is healthy. Knock on wood. If his body stays healthy. He seems really engaged. He loves the game of basketball. He loves everything about it. He loved the prep work, he loved the meeting, he loved the shoot around, he loved being

around the guys, and obviously he loves the game. And so that goes in it because it was you always gonna love the game, But the question is can your body hold up in your mind?

Speaker 1

The meetings drove me away. I didn't want to meet anymore. I got tired. I had heard out.

Speaker 2

I mean, I mean for him to still enjoy it like that, being in medias, how many courages, how many times you can running pin down or flair of one high or all that other stuff. He's hurting, all right, he knows, he knows it, and he still gets excited to get up and to do it over and over again, over and over again.

Speaker 5

So that's what makes you great.

Speaker 2

Yeap, Bridie looked good today. He played really, I mean I saw it. I think he went like a whole minute. I think they said he was nineteen or twenty.

Speaker 1

Five for three three.

Speaker 5

Yeah, I saw, I saw, I saw.

Speaker 2

Yeah, forty and a half inch vertical? It was, it was, It was pretty impressive. It was pretty impressed.

Speaker 5

Wait forty what was the vertical again?

Speaker 1

Forty and a half.

Speaker 2

But they knew running jump. They don't do it like the NFL. Yeah, NFL standing jump. Yeah, the NBA, they allowed you to get running up.

Speaker 5

So what what you would you?

Speaker 1

What you?

Speaker 5

What was your vertical?

Speaker 1

You're saying the highest I remember done was like thirty eight and a half.

Speaker 5

Okay, okay, I mean I think if I'm not mistaken, if I remember correctly, because my vertical jump has been one of my best assets that that I had due to my DNA, I think it might have been a forty six, forty six, forty five something like that, something like that.

Speaker 1

You did that in a combat huh? You did at the Combinnah?

Speaker 5

I did that usc at usc protein Yeah, I did yeah, forty Yeah, I think it might have.

Speaker 2

Been Gerald Sensible has the highest UH in combat history. He had forty six Gerald Senseible.

Speaker 5

Yeah, that's what they compared me to too. Yeah, I ain't here, I I ain't know who he was.

Speaker 1

I'm comparing you to Pinocchio.

Speaker 2

But uh, I think Gerald Sensible and I think I think Boss Baby.

Speaker 1

I think both Baby had forty five.

Speaker 5

Yeah, oh yeah, I remember Boss.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Those are the highs that I can remember being on recording.

Speaker 2

But like I said, the NFL two th planning jump up, NBA Bill, a lot you're running starting to jump because you're gonna be doing a lot of that in the Yeah, you're a lot of doing running jumping, So okay to each a. Lebron was seeing courtside with his lovely wife Samana. Had the Celtics Cavs game where he was given a standing ovation by the hometown Pride. Do you think Lebron would go back Cleveland?

Speaker 5

If you if you wanted to write a story, if you want to write a story and finish it the right way, you wanted to write a story and finish it the right way as Lebron James, you get drafted. You're from Ohio, you get drafted in Cleveland. You leave Cleveland, you go to Miami, you go back to Cleveland, you go from Cleveland to LA. And you want to finish your story the right way, the right way and close that book and just be complete.

Speaker 1

Well, the one way to ensure that is the draft.

Speaker 5

Ronnie Ingo, there you go and there goes your happy there goes your happy ending. And I think I think it would be dope. Hell, who's to say Brian doesn't go to LA.

Speaker 2

Well, I don't think they take it. I didn't have a first round pick. I don't know if they take him in the first round. It's most im more to seeing second round pick. But like you said, there's not a whole lot of not a whole lot of beat at the top of the so it's not like like, oh man, I gotta have this guy.

Speaker 1

Oh I got to have that guy.

Speaker 5

So no consensus at all in this draft. No, No, that's that's why I said the chances of him maybe going to LA, maybe going to Cleveland. But for some reason, I know, I know Rich Paul, I know Lebron. Everything is already setting stone. It's setting stone, and there's a chance if he doesn't go to LA wherever Bronny goes, I'm telling you, Lebron might be there this year.

Speaker 2

I was very happy to see the ovation that he got. I'm glad that let by gones be by gones. Then yeah, oh yeah, bron came back the championship. Uh, he went to the NBA finals all four years he was back there. I think the thing is and for me, he fulfilled his obligation. He never has to be traded. Uh.

Speaker 1

He stayed there for seven years.

Speaker 2

He went to UH, he went to Miami for four years, came back for four years, and now he's been in LA. And so I don't think anybody could be upset with Lebron. I don't think Miami could be upset with it, because he did bring two titles in four years. I don't think LA can be upset with him because what's the likelihood, because think about they hadn't won a title, They hadn't even been to the Western Conference finals since Kobe last won the title in twenty eleven.

Speaker 1

So twenty ten, twenty.

Speaker 2

Ten, because twenty eleven they got swept in the first round by Dallas.

Speaker 1

People don't realize that they swept. They swept Lakers.

Speaker 2

Who went in the champion in the third round, YEP with Derk, Jason Kidd. All those guys are Tyson Chandler. I think Sean Marilyn was on that on that squad, so the likelesshood and everybody's like, oh, Lebron, there's Lebron that, But you got to think about where you were before Lebron got there.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you weren't making the playoffs. You weren't even close to making the playoffs.

Speaker 2

There's a reason why you kept getting DiAngelo Rustling with the second pick of the draft. There's a reason why you got Lonzo Ball with the second pick of the draft. There's a reason why you got Julius Ronald with a top ten pick. Y'all need to realize Laker Laker Nation,

Lebron back to Cleveland?

what you were before Lebron. You didn't have this kind of hole. I understand that. You know, you used the championship, but at the end of the day, there was no there was no Son on the horizon before Lebron came back.

Speaker 5

There do they do? They do they give Lebron credit, you know for the chip that he did and then didn't count.

Speaker 1

Lebron is never gonna look.

Speaker 2

Lebron brought two chips, but He's never beloved in Miami like d Wade.

Speaker 1

It's different. It's different.

Speaker 2

Kevin Durant goes to Golden State, he wins them two titles. He helped win them two titles either two times in the finals MVP.

Speaker 1

But they didn't draft it.

Speaker 2

Miami drafted d Wade, the Gordon State Warriors drafted step they drafted Clay, they drafted Draymond. So there's an affinity for guys that we drafted that we watched them. You see cobD see Magic, Cambery. Magic came right out of college as a twenty year old. One of the title is Rookie Season. Kobe came to LA as a seventeen year old kid. They watch him, they watch him get mad, they watch him have kids, they watch him turn him to a man and watch him turn into one of

the top layers in NBA history. They feel a certain kind of love and an affinity for Kobe because he's.

Speaker 1

Ours, right. That's why.

Speaker 2

Guys that come magic people, if you go ask them, people will always say Magic and Kobe are the two best lakers because those are the guys. Not even do Jerry West l Jabala, But I'm saying Kobe and Magic one two as Lakers because Shaq came from Orlando, Freen came from Milwaukee.

Speaker 5

Ah, So they don't consider him as one of their own.

Speaker 1

They do because they Kareem.

Speaker 2

People don't realize Karee played in LA long as he played longer than he played I think seventy I think he played, and they he played seven years in Milwaukee.

Speaker 1

I think seventy six, if I'm not mistaken, was his first year, and.

Speaker 2

In LA if I'm not mistaken, I think it was seventy six, might have been seventy five because he won like three, He won like two MVPs as soon as he got there, and then won a third, winning in the seventy nine and eighty season. But that's just that's just the way that just the way it is. Sometimes it's like that in basketball, it's yeah, we appreciate what you've done, but.

Speaker 5

It ain't the same.

Speaker 2

Oh, Kobe Man and bad jackad Jane Worthy Old are the guys that were like, oh, they're ours.

Speaker 1

We watched them coming go.

Speaker 2

John Fury, Tyson Fury's dad, if I'm not mistaken, head Buddy, a member of the opponent. We got a video of Alexander USI's team busting himself open in the process. Ahead of his son Tyson's undisputed championship fight with U Sick this coming Saturday. Johnny's is generally good to give some spotlight himself ahead of his son's fight and with arguably Tyson's great biggest fight ever, john went above and beyond what you what.

Speaker 5

You think, man, buddy? He tripping? But you know what, man, No, he got a terrible headed yeah, and he and he taking the focus. He's taking the focus off of what's important. Who's going to be in the ring right, And now you're adding even more pressure on Fury, like he ain't going against no, no, no, just no anybody, especially the way he looked against Dald Did that say it the right way?

Speaker 4

Uh?

Speaker 1

Yeah? But but see he took that fight. He didn't take that fight serious.

Speaker 5

Oh no, what was that?

Speaker 1

He took it?

Speaker 5

What you mean he ain't taking serious?

Speaker 1

Man?

Speaker 5

You think he took he took it serious?

Speaker 2

No, Anthony josh Wad took it serious. No, Fury took that fight serious.

Speaker 5

And I think he was just surprised that Francis has gotten that good and that Policians has a short amount of time and being able to transition from the mm A the boxing and when he when he's gotten the ring, I'm looking like, what what the hell been training with?

Speaker 1

Did you see in Gondo against Joshua with someone to this series?

Speaker 5

Yeah, twoffer two different styles.

Speaker 2

There's levels to fighting, right, you see the faint and see every time because every time he faint, what was gonna do? He would draw? He could do this and so hey, he kept putting it out there. He kept putting it out there. Oh that's what you're gonna do.

Speaker 5

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Hey, listen, it's gonna be. It's gonna be.

Speaker 2

There's gonna be a great fight because both of these guys a boxer. Yeah, there's a different between a boxer and a fighter. And these guys send the slugger. Yeah yeah, completely different. We know the brown bab Deontay waters Hes got one point slugger.

Speaker 1

All these looking he's looking at it. This is the ring.

Speaker 2

I mean, he ain't jabbing to like do anything. He's just trying to He's not like ladies. Louis Lennith Lewis used the jam damn.

Speaker 1

It damn Shaperie shavers uh.

Speaker 2

You Vladimir Clitchko, they used their jab to do damage. It wasn't just a range right range, it was to do damage. Yeah, and boom Brown Obama. He just trying to load. So Tyson Fury is a lo okay, just gonna tie it up. Lean on you get your tied, take your legs basically and that's it. But I think this is gonna be a really good fight here, uh Tyson Fior and Alexander yu Sik because both guys can box.

John Fury

Speaker 1

It's gonna be interesting to see.

Speaker 2

This is the first time that that that that that Fury is gonna be there with somebody. Now, he's gonna be a massive of a man for somebody that has a very similar skill set.

Speaker 5

Good, good for the work, very good ring. I Q. You can box in the pocket, you can fight a distance, you can fight mid range. So it's gonna be it's gonna be very interesting on how they're able to read each other out, gather information, process it round by round, yes, you know, try to figure each other out. And I think it's gonna get really interesting once it gets about round six or seven and you're a little bit tired.

You can't be in your bicycle, you can't have as much movement and you have to actually sit there and fight. I think that's where it's gonna be come interest.

Speaker 2

That's one thing I like about the heavyweight. They ain't really getting on no bicycles. Hey, they gotta save they gotta they gotta save that in Oh yeah, those are huge man. You're talking about fifty to sixty. These are what we call super heavyweights. Man, you ain't getting on no bicycles.

Speaker 1

Not really.

Speaker 5

But it's fine.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 5

But the funny thing when you think about it is you think about their boxing prowess and their footwork is like that of a lightweight almost. They move the footwork, the movement to being able to get in and get out right defense.

Speaker 2

They know how to move Oho, they know how to move minimal movement, minimal movement, but conserve energy well moving Yes, you and I move, we all, we all over the place. They gonna know how to lean, they know how to do all that. But the thing is what the really good boxes they know they can have a sense of like they can look over they'll be tired looking like you breathe.

Speaker 1

It, look at it.

Speaker 5

That's why you got to have that poka face the whole time. Your mannerisms. You got to be relaxed the whole time. You have to have that popa face and show nothing even if you get hit clean. And I've learned this from a few times I've been in there and he was telling me, Man, somebody gets you with a good shot, you could be hurt. You cannot show any sign of weakness at any point because it's like sharks see blood in the water.

Speaker 2

Yeah hit me ow Hey man, I used to get tired. Hey son, don't being dover? Hey ain't no, Yeah it is. I see rabbits, I see cats, I see snakes.

Speaker 1

You die here? You talked about who told you that? Lot? You there there? You know what? Guess what? It's osive evil little because I finish laid out. Oh cho.

Speaker 2

There's a report that Justin Fields had a toxic relationship with Nick Folds in the Chicago locker room.

Speaker 1

According to reports, the relationship between Foes.

Speaker 2

And Fields basically reached rock bottle after a situation where fose were trying to teach something to feel or let you turn around and realize that Phil wasn't paying attention to anything foes were saying. According to report, both and Fields could not stand each other.

Speaker 5

And roma that listen you in your chat in the NFL. Listen, as much as you want to get along with everybody, think about where you work. If you work in the corporate world or wherever you work, you don't get along with every person that's there. That man is in now to take your job.

Speaker 1

They are there to compete.

Speaker 5

Yeah, yeah, they you are you, You are there to compete. Everybody's not gonna get along on the same team. That's just the nature of the business. At times, I'm better than you. Why are you sitting here trying to younger, younger player. Listen to an older veteran who has been somewhat not someone not not really. I don't want to call him a journeyman, but he be, you know, playing

on a few different teams. He has a Super Bowl win, So I think that's someone you would want to listen to, and especially yeah, especially when it comes to playing abosition the quarterback, because he knows what it takes to win, because he has one before after taking over for Carson Wentz who got hurt. Yeah, you know, but listen, at times, you're just not gonna like people. It's just the way it is. And I think it's unfortunate that it came down to this. I think it's unfortunate that it got out.

Now that Justin Field is gone and he's he's in he's in Pittsburgh, So why now why now it wasn't an issue, then why make it an issue now.

Speaker 1

It wasn't a such issue.

Speaker 2

But I just I'm disappointed that it got out because it makes Justin feel like he's uncoachable, like he's he's unwilling to listen to someone.

Speaker 1

That's trying to help. Yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you know, look when I was in there and somebody could give me some valuable information on a mistake that I made. Is that I listened to the wrong person and he gave me a wrong ground and I went there and read it, pulled speed and coach looked at me like I was a damn food And that's my fault.

Speaker 1

That's my fault.

Speaker 2

I think the thing is Ojoe for me is that when I I've always said that if I ever got in the situation, I said, when I make the team next year someone asked me something, I'm gonna be able to give it the real information because I'm this. I look at you, Joe, you can't beat me. I'm gonna teach you everything you know, not everything I know. So you're never gonna be able to get beat this job.

And I understand, like when Ozzie made the move to move on the targy, he had to get me up out of the TARGI was never gonna be able to beat me out by that job because I knew too much. I had been I knew all the tricks of the trade. I knew how to get open no matter what the situation was. But my job was to make sure and to Rook's credit, he hung on everything that I said. So I tried to make sure that the locker of the tight end room was better when I left and

when I found it. The same way with Dever, I take it as a as an elder statesman, OJO, that's my job to pass that information down. Because I had some guy that really helped me in the receiver room, Mark Jackson.

Justin Fields and Nick Foles

Speaker 1

I backed him up. He helped me immensely. Vance Johnson.

Speaker 2

Those guys really really helped me when I was there, and so I really appreciated the older guys really helping me to try to get me up to speed because they knew if something would have of them, I don't gonna have to go in and play. Now, what good is that you don't help me out? And I got to go in and play, and I don't know what the hell I'm doing. Right, that's a negative reflection on you.

But I agree with you, O Joe. I don't like that this got out because at the end of the day, you know who's gonna look negative on Yeah, because you got a veteran quarterback that's played a number of years in the league, and like you said, he did win the Super Bowl, he did go to a Pro Bowl. He once had a season with you, threw twenty seven to interception. So it's like, man, he tried to help justin Fields and justin Field doesn't.

Speaker 1

He's uncoachable. You can't help it.

Speaker 5

And it's so funny. It's always it's always the black quarterbacks with stuff like this comes out. You think it happy with them. I guarantee you it definitely doesn't. I think when Brett Farr and Aaron Rodgers were there, I'm sure that we say the same Yeah, hey, it some of the same issues, you know. I think I think it happens like that when you have two players at a certain position and you understand that if you're not

playing well. The person that's trying to help and coach you could eventually be taking your job if you don't play up the par and it just it is what it is.

Speaker 2

It's no secret that Aaron Rodgers is a big fan of New York Jets offensive coordinating that Thaniel Hacket, other than the organization may not feel the same. According to s and Y, the Jets reported reportedly consider bringing Aboard somewhat above Hackett's head to okay, above Hackett to run the offense. They're a legitimate concern with Hacket's ability to be successful to run things. It almost feels like the Jets are putting so much based in Rogers' ability to correct hackets wrong do it.

Speaker 5

I don't like that. But the thing you, Hacket has always had some type of issues and problems from an offensive standpoint as a coordinator. Actually before he even got here, wasn't their issue when it was when never head he got the job issues in Denver? Wait where was he before Denver? He was the offensive coordinate at Green Bay, but he didn't call no plays. And see what happened was.

Speaker 2

Is that Aaron Rodgers won those back to back MVP right Look, I mean, how much credit how much credit do we actually give the offensive coordinator that coach Tom Brady, because look, when they didn't have Brady, how they look exactly.

Speaker 5

So now we understand that not not much coaching goes on once you in that structured environment. It's all exit and os. So it's up to you to execute those exits once you in between those lines. Right now you understand why coaching gets fired because there's certain players and player personnel that aren't able to live up to the expectations that are expected from the person that's doing the play calling.

Speaker 2

I believe Nathaniel Hackett got that job in Denver because that he believed they believed he could deliver. Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers got the job and went back to Green Bay. He got the job in the Jets because Aaron Rodgers coming to the That's some great boarder have.

Speaker 5

It is it is? So that's like if you Josh McDaniels, you should always be able to get a job no matter what. Obviously, when Brady was playing, yeah, which is why he was able to turn down the job in Indy in Indy and still get an opportunity in Oakland excuse me, Las Vegas. Now that's why because of the individual that you attached to as to being.

Speaker 2

Coached, and you look at the look at what happened every year. He goes one year, halfway through the next year he gets fired. Yeah two jobs, Yeah, two head on jobs. Look at him when he was ahead, when he was the offensive coordinated the ram that the worst offensive football. Now he goes back to New England. He's with Tom Brady, who wins Super bowls. Now he gets the job at the coach he's like nah. He sends them a fact said, Noah, I'm good, I'm turning it down.

Goes back to New England when some more gets the job at Las Vegas.

Speaker 1

Look at it.

Speaker 5

Quarterback always saved today, which is why the quarterbacks makes the big money.

Speaker 2

Okay, now it's time for our favorite segments later now. But I know it's late at night on Joe and uh and uh, so it's not that late in late at night, and so we're gonna start. He you know what,

Jets tried to hire over Hackett

I love being here. We got Turney that we don't need to see that right now. So it's time of our famorite segment. It's time for our famous segment.

Speaker 1

Y'all know what it is. It's called spellow sego.

Speaker 5

Question number one, the NFL was founded on August twentieth of what year? The NFL was founded on August twentieth of what year?

Speaker 1

Nineteen twenty?

Speaker 5

You got an earpiece in.

Speaker 1

There?

Speaker 5

You go with that bullshit? Hey, excuse me, sir? Can you can you be miked up? Can you communicate? You got a little airpiece in Okay to make a show together?

Speaker 5

I'm trying to figure o how cause you weren't even here in nineteen twenty so how you know?

Speaker 1

Hold you when they had annivers anniversary? Yeah?

Speaker 5

Okay. Question number two. There were eighteen quarterbacks who have won the NFL MVP Award. What year did a non offensive or defensive player win the NFL MVP. What year there are nineteen NFL Not there they are eighteen None No quarterbacks who have won NFL MVP award. What year did a non offensive or defensive player win NFL MVP?

Speaker 1

Oh, my god, I know who it is. Damn I'm was it nineteen eighty two? Mark Mosley?

Speaker 5

Oh?

Speaker 2

Had and soon?

Speaker 5

Speaker 2

Hey, I love I loved he w w W shadow dot com.

Speaker 1

Hell, this ain't no dollar here. I think you said no dollar.

Speaker 2

This That CG that Japay got is thousand times faster than five G.

Speaker 5

Somebody brief you on these questions.

Speaker 6

No room door busting like the house keeping.

Speaker 2

Hey, he opened the door talking about house keeping after you're supposed to bring the doorbell first.

Speaker 5

Hey, somebody in this room is cheating. I don't know who it is, but the fact that you there are certain questions on here that you should not know. I don't care how much.

Speaker 2

The reason why I know that because it was a strike shortened season in nineteen eighty two. Strike happl seventh and eighty two eighty seven, and then again in twenty eleven.

Speaker 1

So there was right here three years. The NFL's has strikes.

Speaker 5

What does that have to do with knowing who won the kicker? That wasn't up? Officer deepen the player.

Speaker 2

Because I, oh, choe, I'm telling you, I used to spend all my time.

Speaker 5

Now I spend all my time. No, all right, question number three, chatty cheating. I'm telling you, man, y'all can see it on your end. I know I see.

Speaker 1

Her the thing.

Speaker 2

I'm glad we out here and we ain't got no monitors because the chat thought I was her cheaty because I was getting to answered no.

Speaker 5

But see, someone briefed you ahead of time, telling you what the question would be down here.

Speaker 2

Now I went, I was downstairs smoking. I asked, been here, I asked, left my room as soon as we got back to the room. Matter of fact, I'm supposed to have some food. I don't know where it is.

Speaker 5

Oh all right, let me go chat back to the regular schedule program, in which I still feel a little funny because the fact that he knows he's got damn answers to these questions. Something ain't right. What NFL franchise it's owned by the community rather than a traditional owner or ownership.
