There are characteristics attached to having an abundance of words: pride, lack of thought, and vain babbling. To speak & speak & speak shows a lack of a sense of need to listen, listen, listen; and therefore learn, learn, learn. A wise man withholds the words of his mouth. We need to put a dam on our mouth.
