NFL Weekly Game Previews: Week Two

NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

This is NFL Game Previews, and I'm game preview guy here with in depth primers on every single game that's going to be played this week. The Kansas City Chiefs had to douvall for a nice early season clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Meaning we've got two of the premiere qbs in the game facing off. Trevor Lawrence, the one coming in off a win.

Cal Lawrence thrust back on against touchdown at Ridley.

Lawrence started his year off with a two TD plus one hundred great game, so he comes in feeling good.

Patrick Mahomes comes in looking to rebound sub eighty rate in Week one versus Detroit, oh.

It takes five hundreds and throws on the run nobody there at all in the past in complete.

Now he faces a Jaguar secondary that held Anthony Richardson to a sub eighty rating and held him to six yards per attempt, and.

The Jaguars really coming in with a lot of confidence on that defense.

Mahomes isn't a rookie rarely has bad back to back games, and Kansas City's offense should be better to stop if Senor Drip is back, Kelsey.

Chief's Week one O face was a little awkward without their third Beastie. He was a game day decision, so the Chiefs Empire assumption he will return and restore order to their offensive flow.

First thing goal for Kantas City Chiefs also have to be able to handle Jacksonville's pass rush better than they did Detroit's zero sacks allowed thirty nine dropbacks. However, Mahomes faced pressure on forty three point six percent of his pass attempts. That's job of the hut Fat. He was extending plays a lot, But even so they'd be queuing Sarah Lynn forty three percent. That's too much man.

Mahomes retreats. Puts it up tough, all right, and it's incomplete.

Plus, it could be harder for Mahomes to avoid taking a sack or two this week. That is, unless Sault Silver is responsible for watching where Casey right tackle Juwan Taylor is lining up.

You said earlier, he's so deep you wonder if he's legal or not, and to be honest, we've watched him the whole game. He's really not remotely close.

Saul's not great at paying attention either. Expect Jacksonville's pregame chats with the Stripes to focus on Taylor in order to give defensive end Josh Allen a better chance to visit Mahomes face to face.

Neither of their backs had more than ten cares, neither averaged over for a run.

The Jags offense, Casey is trying to slow more diverse. They can do more than just drain the clock with their rush attack. Travis etn eighteen carries versus the cold seventy seven yards and a touchdown over four point two a carry each.

What a shoot charge ETN will be staring at a casey rush defense that held its own versus Detroit in Week one held them under four yards per run versus David Montgomery allowed only three point five.

Montgomery a loops the first hit by Trent McDuffie, but ups in there and shuts it down.

They didn't handle Jamiir Gibbs runs as well. In case you think ETN is more Gibbs than Montgomery.

Chiefs pass defense Lawrence faces. They come in off a subpar outing versus Jared Goff allowed a mid nineties rating over two hundred and fifty yards a touchdown no picks. Wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. Aman Ras saying Brown is Detroit's number one, and he hurt the Chiefs the most.

Got up truck SAE crowd to the end zone to.

Try to touchdown Jacksonville's number one. In Week one, newcomer Calvin Ridley, especially in the first half, finished with over one hundred yards in a td.

Colvin Redley got on the sideline.

Ridley moves around, so no specific one on ones to talk about with him. The Casey secondary also has wide receivers A Jones to chase over fifty yards in a TV last week.

Quiet week one for white out Christian Kirk, so he's looking for a big Sean bounce back. Tight End Evan Ingram rounds out Spacoli's pass catchers almost fifty yards in week one.

He joins George Carloftis and Mike Dana as their top QB hunters. Casey's pass rush only got home once versus Detroit, but they did pressure Golf over thirty percent of his dropbacks. Anything over thirty is good stuff, and the Lions O line is tough, so they take that again this week.

Allen Lazard as New York's other primary pass catching threat, all of which could mean the Jets could load up on Dalvin Cook and Brice Hall. Not much from Cook in week one, but he has that resume all average twelve point seven yards per carry. Back to New England's offense. Now, based on Miami's defensive struggles, the Pats are thinking they can put up some digits. Mac Jones threw for over three hundred yards three tds last week.

Matthew was outstanding, and I thought the offensive line protected.

A lot of folks thought this was setting up to be a Northern invasion of SOFI, but LA fans have motivation now. The Cincinnati Bengals are at home for Week two, another AFC North beef squash affair. The Baltimore Ravens, coming in off an opening season victory.

The Bengals Week one showing against the pass though, could mean for a delay and true Lamar lift off. They held Deshaun Watson too one hundred and fifty four yards, passing just five point three yards per attempt, one touchdown, an I int and a sub seventy raiding.

Bengals defense still has to defend the run well in this game, something they did not do well last game. Baltimore's O face was still run dominant in Week one, twenty two pass attempts, thirty two rush attempts. Jackson leading the way with thirty eight yards on six point three round he goes against Justice Hill could get increased play this week. He scored twice last week, and so could Gus Edwards. Eight carries thirty two yards.

That's for a run is Edwards, and he's gonna bang it in for the two points.

Cincinnati gave up two hundred and six yards rushing on five point two a carry and a touchdown to the Browns. They gave up forty five yards and a TD to Watson, and they allowed Nick Chubb five point nine yards per carry one hundred and six yards. They should get tested plenty again.

One way to keep Baltimore's run game off the field. Make them chase points, which they did not make Cleveland's offense do Bengals offense spending a lot of time on the sideline last week.
