NFL Weekly Game Previews: Week 4

NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

This is NFL Game Previews and I'm game preview guy here with in depth primers on every single game that's going to be played this week. Tell them the North remembers what a perfect got TNF game. Who takes the lead role as the heir to the throne in the North. Catch Detroit secondary he faces looked good versus Kansas City's passing attack, not so good versus Seattle, good versus Atlanta. Does that count held? Desmond ritterd a five point three yards per attempt, low seventies rate, no TD passes allowed.

Love will use rookie tight end Luke Musgrave eight targets last week, forty nine yards past off.

For a first time by Musgrave. The chance of Luke full the crowd.

Here Al and Dontavian Wicks, another rookie Green Bay pass catcher, had forty five yards last week. If Jones plays, he's a big passing attack weapon as well. We'll see he's obviously key to the Packers rush attack. Aj Dillon hasn't mustered three point seven in a game once yet.

Lions could make it tough on Jones even if he plays. They just got done holding Atlanta, who's all about the run game, to two point two yards per carry, held Jean Robinson to three point three only one eleven yard run aloud, and that was it.

If it's a lot of cinema reverse and a good jump by Cherry Jacob coming over to chomp him down.

After a short game, Lions o face now biggest matchup that could swing things surrounds aman Ross Saint Brown one hundred plus yard and back to back games seventy plus in all three low key the guy, no disrespect to Jared Goff and maybe aside from their O line, the most important player on Detroit's offense.

It packers secondary as a whole that Jared Goff faces in Week three, even without Jaiyir, held Derek Carr and Jamis Winston to just over two hundred yards just six yards per attempt have yet to be dinged through the air in a significant way.

Lions fans will point to Jared Goff being better than any when they faced over two hundred and forty yards last week. He's a plus one hundred right guy for the year. Healthy completion percentage.

He missed last week, and it should be noted the Lions don't usually allow that much pressure like they did last week. Aside from Saint Brown, Green Bay will try and keep rookie tight end Sam Laporta in check. He had over eighty yards last week, his biggest game yet.

He's got it, but he's got his first NFL touchdown.

Wide receiver Khalif Raymond went for fifty five last week. Wide receiver Josh Reynolds, who is key to their attack, didn't do anything last week played her Lyons run game running back David Montgomery, another dude who didn't play Week three. He was their lead rusher prior rookie Jamiir Gibbs, though, is a nice fallback seventeen carries eighty yards four point seven run versus Atlanta. A nice twenty one yard er helped make the Digits look solid in the end.

Someone is walking out three to one with optimism about twenty twenty three, and that's all we crave. Oh baby, slap this one with weak fours, top billing tag in one corner. A team that womped its way to a thirty seven to three win. That's what happens in college games, right, and one of.

Hill simply isn't coverable by a single guy. Probably best to hit him early, like New England was doing all game in Week two when they held him in check.

It is just almost impossible or two to try and squeeze one of these.

In Waddle's presence would make it much more difficult for Buffalo's secondary, who are all going to be tested. It'll be the most fun when Trey Day covers Hill. White had a pick last week. Has held QBS to a sub eighty rating in three games.

Cornerback Karen Johnson will be in on the action, only giving up thirty eight yards so far this season. Cornerback Christian Benford sub ninety rate allowed for the year. Safety Micah Hyde sub fifty rate allowed. Had one of Buffalo's four iron t's last week. That group comes in hot.

They're just interceptions waiting to happen.

Finn's fans are like bro it was Sam Howell stop cappin. You know if they were younger Finns fans, they held them to a low forties rate as a result of all those picks, and it's a pick six. Bill's defense also has to pay attention to Miami's backs as pass catchers. Their two primary guys ninety receiving yards, three touchdowns last week.

The Dolphin's gonna get tired during those push ups.

This offensive line has played very well all season.

He should not expect that kind of time this week. Bill's pass rushers had that random Beatles track playing in their earbuds week three. Should leave it in on repeat this week. Then number nine, number nine, and.

Nine sacks, fifteen QB hits. It looked like a seven year old flag football game where the d line just runs in on every play. Terrell Bernard two sacks at Oliver one and a half, Greg Russo won, Leonard Floyd two. Miami's entire line, not just the tackles, have to be ready for battle.

I don't know how you're supposed to stop this, and.

That battle will also involve them trying to open up lanes for their backs on the ground. You don't hit seventy points unless your ground game was blazing. Raheem Moster had sixty receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. Also scored three times along the ground over eighty yards over six a run. He's been a monster in back to back weeks.

Two rush tds to go along with his two receiving tds. Have a day, dude, I mean now we're entering the absurd. Yes, Bills only faced ten Brian Robinson runs before they gave up toking. It allowed seven yards per carry to him. Play the run like that again and it could be a long day the middle.

What are the chances Buffalo can make this a fireworks show? If needed. Their offense didn't have much to do last week. Josh Allen didn't have a great personal day sub eighty rating, under seven yards per attempt. Only one touchdown got on a careless bomb attempt.

For Josh Allen. That's just four th and t of the year.

He looked good against Vegas week two, but has sandwiched sub eighty rate games around it. The only consistent aspect to their pass game so far Stefawn Diggs over one hundred yards and two of the three games sixty five plus and all three one hundred and eleven yards last week.

These two have a great feel for each other.

He was targeted twelve times, no one else had five. In Week three. Gave Davis did catch a TD at least look.

But that was his only catch on four targets. So Miami secondary will lock in on Stefan. Then Diggs is fired from the slot thirty one percent of snaps, so he's a mover and a shaker when he's on the right side. That's Beefy Xavian Howard sub eighty rating allowed for the year.

In the slot. Digs will find cater coohu high nineties rating a loud, but that's okay for nickel cornerbacks. Miami gave up a lot of yards to Russell Wilson in Week three, but only one touchdown and they picked him off held him to a low eighties rate.

Pressuring Allen will be big. He's not a fan of it. The Dolphins only sacked Wilson once, but twelve QB hits his hefty, hefty, hefty.

What an incredible job by the Dolphins defense.

Allen and his O line faced a pretty stacked front four last week, though he wasn't sacked once and he only got hit once.

This is the X factor right here for Josh Allen.

Bill's line would love to keep it going down low too. James Cook hit at six point five a run in Week three, almost one hundred yards after cracking that barrier week two.

Zaldscook was silky bad.

Dolphins had no issues with Denver's runners or New England's.

In Week two to a suit dive the defense.

They did have lots of problems with the ground game. Week one, though, the Miami Dolphins have never started a season four and oh, just like they never went three

Tchoo done makes the big play that may just win the game.

For the Patriots.

Hid your wife, hydr kids, and hide your buckets, Dallas fans. New England not only rolls into Dallas off victory, they come in with this running back who's going to be extra motivated to have a big game.

Ellie is showing some speed.

He was an OSU kid nicknamed Zeke. Trying to think of what else to give Cowboys fans to help them to get to know him.

That it's a great job. Have the awareness and vision to be able to pop this outside.

Oh, he has a funny signature where he pretends to eat a meal when he has a good run, and he had a few of those in week three. How about five yards per carry? Eighty yards?

Elliot's getting a lot of work today and he's performing. It's kind of the first out.

New England ran the ball forty times last week. They have Ramandre Stevenson as well. He had a cold game based on what Arizona's James Connor did to Dallas's defense last week, though you could see them feeding their backs another fat meal. Dallas gave up seven yards per carry to Connor.

It is Connor short side of the field, block ahead, hands on ahead, and a touchdown.

Cowboys gave up three runs of twenty five plus yards last week, two of forty plus one to wide receiver Rondelle Moore, one to quarterback Joshua Dobbs. They have a lot of rush defense fixes to make this week.

Mac Jones isn't likely going to gash him on the ground. The pass passing game hit big on one of his throes in week three, though over the top they go.

However, not much aside from that. Jones only had two hundred and one yards passing with that fifty eight yarder. Cowboys secondary facing the likes of tight end Hunter Henry wide receiver DeVante Parker Kendrick Bourne burned their target leader through three games.

Cowboys secondary also has room for improvement and four Dobbs hung a one twenty rating on him. Nine yards per attempt, no.

Pick jobs, retreats and flots for the end zone. It's brown, it's a touchdown.

Dallas's three game numbers versus the pass are good, but they haven't faced any elite quarterbacks per se. Jones has to worry about Dallas trying to cook up some sack macaroni and cheese. And by the way, I used that before that commercial like years ago, as dumb as it might be. Dawrence Armstrong is of course Osio Diggi Zua defensive end to Marcus Lawrence. He had a sack Week three, and so did Michael Parsons. He's got four now for the season.

Jones didn't get sacked once by the Jets. That's impressive.

This is where I'm really impress with Mac Johnson. He's throwed under duress all year and that's a great route right there.

He also faced a forty percent pressure rate, so playing with fire if that's the case again.

Carter all Right. His counterpart Dak Prescott sub eighty rating last week versus Arizona one TD one pick low nineties rating for the year.

Now Pruscott looking in zong, that one's picked off. It's Tyzer White.

Prescott was barely pressured too, under twenty percent of his dropback, so can't blame the heat. Primary four pass catchers New England's dbs have to pay attention to. All four had seven targets last week. Wide receiver Brandon Cooks only seventeen yards, has yet to make a mark for the Cowboys. Tight End Jake Ferguson forty eight yards, Michael Gallup almost one hundred.

So they get rid of it quickly to Michael Gallup who slips a tackle and gets it all back and then saw.

And of course Cede Lamb he blew up in week two, then week three just fifty three.

Professor Ferrits offense number eighty eight and ten yard penalty still first out.

Dak probably doesn't have the same time as he did last week. Matthew Judon will be coming. He bagged Zach Wilson twice and we three has four for the year.

Falls crazing not a thing anymore. Patriots secondary Prescott faces has yet to be dinged through the air held vincent adult man at four point four yards per attempt in the low sixties rating. That might not impress, but they're week two showing versus Tua and Tyreek tells you they're pretty good against the past.

They also played the Jets run game great again, not very impressive right now. This week they take on Tony Pollard, the one bright spot for the Cowboys. O face week three over five yards per carry over one hundred and twenty yards.

Hollard again with a head of steam. He hops through, he stays on his feet. Then Collard's down the sideline.

A that back's named Cowboys fans Ezekiel Hell, maybe you forget quick big early season NFC South bout Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road, Nor Orleans Saints the home crew both teams two and one. Buck fans, you know him, mister double double, He's famous. Nothing like facing the X right.

Jamis Winston, barring Derek Carr's hurt shoulder healing quicker than expected, gets another shot at his former team. He came in midweek last week ten for sixteen for one hundred and one yards, so nothing really to work with. But he did not throw it to the opposition, so he's got that going for him.

Saints also get their Camaro back this week, so the New Orleans O face will look very different than it did the first three weeks. Alvin Kamara makes his twenty twenty three debut suspension over. He'll provide a nice safety valve for Winston, being he's one of the best pass catching backs in the game.

It's Dalton over the middle. Clock by Kamara, and he picks up another Saints.

For Jamis's primary wide out options, Rashid Shaheed. Winston loves the deep ball, so he should get some looks, even though he got shut out week three. Michael Thomas fifty yards last week, fifty to sixty in all three games so far.

I think I didn't count as a catch. No right were secure, ball never moved all.

Chris Olave the star of the outfit. One hundred and four yards last week, two hundred plus yard games now eighty five plus in all three.

What a cash one two, three, four, five, six seventies about that group up against a very beat up Tampa Bay secondary. All kinds of injuries to track there this week. They just struggled with a big time receiver too. Gave up over one hundred and thirty yards to AJ Brown last week.

Still, they should be a tough draw for Winston. They held Jalen Hurts to a low seventies rate, picked him off twice looking for it.

Winston should expect to be blitzed. That's part of the Tampa Bay formula. They've sent five plus over forty five percent of the time. Only two teams have done so more often.

There's the blitz perk steps through the pressure from behind from Izzy and and her test to throw it away.

The Bucks soft spot last week stopping DeAndre Swift gave up over eight per run to him one hundred and thirty yards.

The Saints ground game is their ex factor. Camara's return should give it some life.

Back to the ground game and Camara Camara trying to break it outside and he does twenty five twenty yard line and brought down.

Bucks own run game also an X factor two point four per carry Week three. Rashad White two point seven. He's finished two of their three games under three per run.

And actor White did not get out safety.

Look. The fact is Tampa's offensive star are receivers. Saints dbe's familiar with them. Chris Godwin, Mayfield looked right and found his target. Godwin two point fry is good. Campus slot guy didn't do much week three, just thirty two yards, but he's big time, and so is Mike Evans sixty yards last week. A TD has won in each game.

Oh what a.

Do we need to get ready to rumble? Evans probably spend some time with Marshaun Latimore in front of him. They usually like long walks on the beach together, riding tandem bikes. Latimore has held qbs to a twenty eight point nine rating. Ninety is average, right, so he's doing okay, guid He's over the.

Middle, dropped it up, absolutely smothered by Marsille Lattimore.

Latimore has six passes defense, that's the second most in the NFL. The dude with seven. Saints Cornerback a Lante Taylor's.

New Orleans has held quarterbacks to a sixty one rate through three games, fourth lowest in the NFL.

And now they take on Baker Mayfield, who's trying to rebound after a rough Monday night football outing.

Cam Jordan Carl Granderson, Saints primary QB Hunters Carl with two and a half sacks and three games the Wolves cannot escape.

He comes in looking very much like the top QB in the game. Three hundred plus yards in Week two, shreded Chicago Secondary Week three, two hundred and seventy plus yards, three touchdowns, rating over one twenty five.

Travis Kelcey may not have scored yet with Casey's new super fan, but he has scored tds in both games he's played lofting in.

So there it is a touchdown of Chlsea.

New York's defense. They got fooled and gave up a long touchdown to tight end Pharaoh Brown last week.

Farah Brown splitches out and it's a touchdown New England.

Wow.

But they held New England's primary tight end Hunter Henry to seventeen yards on five targets pass incomplete. Amos reads it perfectly and gets in there. The fifty eight yard TV they gave up was kind of it to held mac Jones to two hundred and one yards, still under seven yards per attempt, a sub ninety rating. No other pass went for more than eighteen.

Coverage stopping Patrick's mahomes will be harder based on the deliverer of the ball, but this is a heavyweight bout. Mahomes has to be cornerbacks Sauce Gardner, DJ Reed and Michael Carter the best corner trio in the league. They've all been had this year, but not last week. All held their targets under a ninety rating.

House Carter with the coverage Aside from Kelsey, New York secondary has wide receiver Rashi Rice to contend with almost sixty yards. Week three, Justin Watson was fifty plus, Sky Moore forty plus mvs. Thirty plus. It could be anyone going deep.

Mark Quinn's bounded Scaly makes the grab, cuts back inside the twenty five.

Casey's run game can't be overlooked. Mahomes ran for twenty eight yards last week. That's twenty five plus in all three games.

It's gonna take offense tiptoe in bounds first down.

Casey running back Isaiah Pacheco has looked good lately, scored last week sixty plus rush yards back to back games.

Draw but Checko Watson touchdown.

The New York run de they face held Remandre Stevenson to three point one a run, but allowed Zeke to go for five per run. Oh, look at this open up for Elliott on a round Reid and Wilson runs down with them. The Jets d is under pressure to shut down Casey's offense unless they can find some way to put up more points. Take away the punt return in week one sixteen points and then back to back with ten look.

At down for wild escapes for a moment, escapes a second time, and that's going to be ruled at end completion.

Can they come up with any sort of run game? Breise Hall nine yards in week two eighteen in week three point five a carry, Dalvin Cook eighteen yards two point three a run last week at.

Kansas City's run defense did allow the Bears to hit at four point five a run on the ground. They didn't care, but just for the record, the game.

And what can we expect out of New York's passing game. It's been a kneemick the first three weeks. Last week versus New England, Zach Wilson one hundred and fifty seven yards four point four per attempt, a low sixties rating. Probably worth tracking Jets' quarterback news this week. Maybe not if it's Wilson he faces yet another tough secondary. Doesn't get the same pub as Buffalo, Dallas or New England. But Casey's dbs held their own versus Jared Goff week one, dominated Trevor Lawrence week two, and then faced Justin Fields week three. You shush held him to under one hundred yards.

Fields, loading up, going deep for more. It's incomplete.

Lugerious Sneed had really good coverage on the Bears top target.

The gap between these offenses is as wide as Kim Kay's bank account. It's very wide. Can New York's defense keep it tight enough for the latest NFL Why the face moment? Or is it chalk City? Washington? Commanders limp off to Philadelphia this week for an NFC East bout with the division leading Eagles.
