NFL Weekly Game Previews: Divisional Round

NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.

This is NFL Game Previews, and I'm game preview guy here with in depth primers on every single game that's going to be played this week. The reigning champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, still alive to defend their crown.

The idea of flustering Allen starts up front. This is a matchup between a Buffalo offensive line that gave up the fewest sacks in twenty twenty three and to Kansas City pass rush with the second most sacks. Chiefs Chris Jones and George Carlftis their top QB hunters. Carl Loftus had one and a half last week, three QB hits, six tackles.

Plenty of time for Carloftus to get there. Just love how it comes up the field and drives inside, sees the softness of the inside shoulders Jackson and takes advantage of it.

He lines up across right tackles. Buffalo's right tackle Spencer Brown did allow a sack last week. He gave up more than anyone on the team this year with six.

Left tackle Dion Dawkins allowed the other sack last week, but he's only given up three for the season. He will do battle with the likes of Charles L. Menaheue and Mike Dana six point five and seven sacks respectively between the two.

It's a great route, good throw, everything's perfect, but Sneak times things so well. Nobody has a huge game against him, and he's been tracking Diggs all game.

Dalton Kincaid three catches fifty nine yards versus the Steelers. He's had fifty nine plus yards in three straight games.

It's the first time they can go with top on this drive after six straight runs, and it ends in a first down with Kencaid.

Chiefs held tight ends to an eighty seven point five ratings, seventh lowest, and when they faced Kincaid in round one, eight targets only twenty one yards.

Right there, here's the hold and then he moves right when Josh is throwing and loses his balance.

Chiefs gave up four point one to run to Raheem Moster in their win last week, not many runs faced. They aren't generally strong against ball carriers, though.

Center Creed Humphrey guards Trey Smith Joe Tooney versus Ed Oliver. Tooney First team All Pro. Smith gave up five sacks this season, most of any cheet.

He's gonna get a lot of Oliver nine and a half sacks for him this season.

Bill's defensive end Leonard Floyd, their bag leader with ten and a half. Defensive end Greg Russo had five this year, one of Buffalo's two from last week.

Bill secondary handled Mason mood Off the way they've handled most qbs this year. Two hundred and twenty nine yards, five point nine yards per attempt, a couple touchdowns, but they picked him off, held him to an eighty rating. They're rarely the problem trying to.

The one guy Buffalo struggled with last week, tight end Pat Fryarmuth gave up five catches seventy six yards to him and they are banged up at linebacker whodol.

They gave up eighty three yards on six catches to Travis Kelcey. Kelsey comes in off a nice outing seven catches seventy one yards.

Packers defense did not excel at takeaways in twenty twenty three, though it wasn't a strength either. They did pick Prescott off twice last week.

And coming in at number ten. Special teams Packers Anders Carlson is solid for the year, no field goal attempts last week, six for seven on extra points. San Francisco's Jake Moody twenty one to twenty five this season, sixty for sixty one on extra points, long of fifty seven.

Baby be Forty nine Ers regular season numbers elite on offense and defense. Packers not so much, but good enough to be dancing. Forty nine Ers five and three at home, so three of the five losses were at their crib. It tees up key matchup number two, Lamar, Gus and Justice Hill versus Houston's linebackers Denzel Perryman, Christian Harris, and Blake Cashman. Baltimore's offense is elite. They are thirtieth in pass attempts, first in rush attempts, lead the league in rushing yards per game.

It's Hill the first of speed, Justice Hill cuts it back that proped down.

Stroud's outing was versus an elite secondary too. It fits his twenty twenty three body work. He led the NFL in passing yards per game.

Now he faces a group of guys responsible for holding quarterbacks to the lowest rate in football and the lowest yards per attempt. Number four now Baltimore's top rated pass rush versus a Texans O line that didn't allow Stroud to get sacked a single time by Miles Garrett Company Stroud only got hit once.

Stars with got doing a tremendous job to Davis smiles.

When you have a left tackle who can do that, that allows CJ to Shawn.

Houston's big Uglies held their own all year, so their wild card showing wasn't a fluke. The Ravens they led the NFL in sacks.
