Episode description

The 2014 NFL season is here, and with it comes the return of One-on-One’s NFL Friday.  DJ Sixsmith and Matt Moro kicked off the year talking about Wes Welker’s suspension after testing positive for steroids.  They discussed how Welker could have failed this test, and whether it actually matters for the Broncos given his latest concussion.

The guys then moved to last night’s kickoff game between the Packers and Seahawks.  Seattle looks like it is still the team to beat in the NFC, as their defense gave Aaron Rodgers fits throughout the game.

DJ and Matt turned their attention to the local teams next.  Kelly Kultys weighed in with her first Jets report, while the guys debated how much Geno Smith will improve going into his second year and how he could be affected by the addition of Michael Vick.

The focus then turned to the Giants.  Kristian O’Hara contributed his first report of the season, and the guys discussed Eli Manning’s preseason struggles.  The defense may be a bright spot, but will it matter if the offense can’t get off the ground?

Drew Casey then stopped by to talk some fantasy and added some bold predictions, and the show wrapped up with the first round of picks.
