With the release of her memoir, “Going There,” on Oct. 26, Next Question will be sharing exclusive podcast-only conversations between Katie and some of her closest friends, family and confidants. And in the lead up to the book’s publication, Katie will explore some of the biggest news stories — and the people behind them — that she has covered over the decades. This season will take fans and listeners behind the scenes of both the making of her memoir and the making of her extraordinary (and sometimes tumultuous) personal and professional life. So, come for Katie’s signature curiosity and no holds barred interviews, but stay for her own revealing answers. New season starts Sept. 30 and brand new episodes every Thursday.

This season. On Next Question with Katie Couric, our first guest is the very popular co anchor of the Today Show here on NBC. We're going to dive into ladies and gentlemen here. She is, Well, Katie, cos I don't know if you all have heard, but I've written a memoir. It's called Going There, and it's out on October, which just so happens to be right smack in the middle of our podcast season, So we figured why not just go there. I still can't decide whether I'm Katherine or Katie.

We'll be looking at some of the biggest news stories I've covered in my career. I'm Katie Kurriic in New Orleans, wearing waiters for the first time in my life to deal with all the flood waters that are still quite high in several areas. I'm close up this morning the Clarence Thomas nomination. The Senate is to vote tonight on whether Thomas should get a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.

Early this morning, Matthew Sheppard passed away. The story has captured national attention and sparked a debate over the necessity for hate climb legislation and talk to some of the people behind those stories, like Anita Hell. The term believe all women is just our invitation to put in place systems and processes that allow us to be heard and believed as well as those who are inspired by them. You look at so many of Matt's friends and we've all kind of gone in our own paths. I was

just like, I have to save the world. I have to do something. But we're also going to get pretty personal because I'll be taking you behind the making of my memoir. We really wrote the bulk of this book in the middle of a pandemic. Katie is a pack rad unlike this is not going to get done. She saved everything. It was a very intense experience. You can expect some special guests, intimate details and stuff about the book you won't get anywhere else. And maybe that's because

of my our projection to can I lie down? I'm kidding so come from my signature curiosity? Are you still so angry at the federal government? I was curious what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read. How emotional was that for you? Tell me what was going through your mind? Can you explain what internet is? But stay for some of my own revealing answers. Find new episodes of Next
