Episode description

S&P Futures are moving lower this morning as tech earnings disappoint and the sector is seen as being caught up in Trump's trade war. Chinese regulators are said to be reviewing the business practices of major tech firms (AAPL, GOOG, INTC & NVDA). The U.S Postal Service has suspended the acceptance of inbound parcels from China which is causing weakness in Chinese retailors. Talks are expected between Trump & XI in the coming days. GOOG, AMD, MDLZ & UBER are lower after earnings releases. After the bell today, ARM, QCOM, MSTR, MCK & F will be releasing. ADP Employment data is on tap this morning before the opening bell. RFK moved closer to confirmation which is creating volatility in vaccine and food stocks. Nissan may pull out of its merger with Honda. Oil prices are down due to the API inventory data which indicated a build in inventories.
