Newspeak

Nicholas Fordwww.spreaker.com
Every week, two recent Australian journalism graduates, Nic Ford and Aymon Bertah will be bringing you their perspective on the world of politics, discussing everything from the US to Australia and the rest of the world.

'Newspeak is the language of George Orwell's book 1984. It's the language created by the fictional 'Big Brother' that was designed to "designed to diminish the range of thought." Aymon and I see a lot of similarities to this in the real world. Mass media controls the narrative and can subvert the language to change what we talk and even think about."
