February is recognized as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and to highlight its impact, several local student leaders joined Frank Wilt on WSVA to discuss the program, its opportunities, and the challenges and benefits it presents to students. Participants included Mallory Cromer, Marketing Teacher and DECA Advisor at Broadway High School; Emma Light, FCCLA State Vice President of Competitive Events from Turner Ashby High School; Naraly Valerio Reyes, DECA Region 5 State Vice President from East Rockingham High School; and Alli Phillips, FFA State Reporter from Broadway High School. Together, they shared insights into how CTE programs prepare students for future careers and leadership roles.
