Under Authority : Week 6 - Civil Authorities
Episode description
Sometimes it's frustrating to submit to a governing authority you differ in opinion. In a world where peace and turmoil co-exist, where the youth of this generation protest at high volumes, where every governing decision made is met by criticism and rebellion, are we indeed progressing as a nation?
Although democracy revolves around the idea that everyone has the right to voice their opinions we deviate from the fact that all authorities are God appointed. It is good for us that there is government instead of anarchy.
In a democracy, civic authorities are appointed by people and many times the elected leadership may not be what you desire. Earthly authority, is appointed authority.
Does submitting to your appointed civic authority challenge you? What if we told you that submission to delegated authority must come no matter how good or bad they may be?
Join us as we continue our series on 'Under Authority' in Week 6 - 'Civic authorities' by Pastor Mathew George.
