Episode description

It is said that 'the only thing constant in this world is change.' It really is true, isn't it? But we as humans always refrain from change when brought by others. In other words, we don't like to be schooled by others, we would accept change only when we deem it right. Hypocritical it may seem, but it has to do with humility and ego. Obedience comes when we humble ourselves and submit to our authorities. And disobedience is when we rebel and want to impose our own desires.

But even as children, why do we have the urge to fight our authorities? Why does it feel more comfortable to be a rebel and disobey? Why is obedience so difficult? Don't we get empowered when we rebel? Aren't we truly free when we follow our own desires? What then is wrong in disobeying?

Join us as we learn more about 'The Consequences of Disobedience' in Week 3 of Under Authority by Pastor Mathew George. This is Part 1.
