June 12, 2022 - Do we have to love our enemies? Think about that one person that you can't stand to be around. You go out of your way to avoid them. Jesus says to love that person; He calls us to do more than just wave. He calls us to engage with our enemies, to show them love, and care for them. How do we do this?
Should you get revenge? - June 5, 2022 Our culture loves revenge movies. We love to see bad guys brought to justice. Is this what it's like to live, love, and go like Jesus?

So what do we do? Jesus says that words are important and as followers of Him we should be mindful of how we speak to those around us.

Is all sin the same to God? - May 1, 2022 It can be hard to think of all sin as the same by human standards. We would pull out the scales and determine that murder is more heinous than lying. But in scripture, we see God leveling the field and calling all sin equally as heinous.

Jesus was serious about the Old Testament and often used it to relate and respond to people around him. Because of Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, we are no longer dead in our sins or bound by our weaknesses. We can follow Jesus knowing that we are alive in Him! He is risen!

So how does this affect the way each culture views Jesus' death on the cross? It is important for us to understand other cultures so we are able to connect with others and relay Jesus's death in a way that relates to them.
How can Jesus help me in my weakness? - April 3, 2022 Weakness can present itself in many ways, and quite often, it presents as a physical illness or even a struggle to regain power. So what do we do? We can look to Christ in our weakness! Christ took our weakness on Himself when he died on the cross, and in turn, we received his power of the Holy Spirit.
