Sermon: Escape And Evasion

In Hebrews Chapter 2, God instructed Jonah to go to Nineveh to preach. Jonah tried to run from God. He boarded a ship and headed in the opposite direction. Jonah was thrown overboard by the other passengers to calm the raging sea caused by Jonah's disobedience. Once he was thrown from the ship, the winds subsided, the sea calmed, and his fellow passengers lives' were spared. Now that God had Jonah's full attention, Jonah went to Nineveh and preached as God had instructed. Today, the message is the same. There are consequences from trying to run from God.
