Episode description

In this episode Pat speaks with Dr Yuri Cath.

Dr Yuri Cath's work explores epistemological questions about the nature and sources of different kinds of knowledge, and the importance of these issues for other areas of philosophy including the philosophy of mind and moral philosophy. He is interested in the philosophical distinction between "knowing-how" and "knowing-that"; the role of intuitions as a kind of evidence; and the relationship between testimony and knowledge.

They discuss going from practicing painting to practicing philosophy, the gradations of What It Is Like knowledge, and the differences and similarities between art and philosophy.
