Transcript

This is the draft Preface of the book I intend to put out based on Season 1. Readers/ listeners are invited to comment on and request content. PREFACE Neville Goddard taught the Christian Bible. Not since Wycliffe, Jan Hus and Martin Luther has a Christian explication so completely overturned orthodoxy. Neville applies to the Bible a refreshing psychological interpretation. His reading of the sacred writings reveals their account of the transformational stages of the mind. The result is a rejection of both organizational doctrine and literal understanding. The “Neville On Fire” podcast is an exploration of Neville's thought, starting with foundational ideas. This book is a condensation of Season 1 (30 episodes), edited to improve the reading experience and include updated commentary. My background includes study of GI Gurdjieff (the Fourth Way), CG Jung and related authors. While these gave me good preparation, discovering Neville turned out to be a watershed. His philosophy is the most compelling that I have encountered, for he dares to answer the existential questions others do not touch. He pierces the pervasive materialist worldview. Consequently, his work has great explanatory power. As Neville says, that which is the most profoundly spiritual is also that which is the most practical. I trace through Neville’s instructions and show a compendium of methods to meet challenges along the path. Anyone who cares to understand Neville Goddard can knowingly create an intelligible and rewarding life. Please check book draft chapter 1 (S1E01 revised) at the podcast episode S2E18, audio, inviting your comments.
