Episode description

Today is the 65th anniversary of the horrendous murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till. He was accused of making moves on a 21-year-old white woman, who later recanted those claims. Her husband showed up at 2:30 am on the morning of August 28th, 1955 and kidnapped Emmett before shooting him and throwing him in a river. I was someone who was always deemed "not black enough," so I invite you to join me each week while I aim to educate myself, and others, on black history.
