2006's Inside Man holds the distinction of being Spike Lee's only heist film. Denzel Washington plays Detective Keith Frazier, a veteran NYPD detective, who enters into hostage negotiations with a clever bank robber, played by Clive Owen. When word of the hostage situation reaches the bank's founder (Christopher Plummer), he employs an artful power broker (Jodie Foster) to protect the secret contents of his safe deposit box from the robbery.
