Listen regularly to Nuneaton Christian Fellowship's Sunday Morning Talk. A variety of topics are addressed, all firmly based on the Bible. We are situated in the centre of England.
The Israelites had to move from Egypt to the Promised Land (from A to B). God is calling us to do this both collectively and individually. The journey may not always be easy, but we have the delight of arriving at B. This Talk encourages us to look at how spiritully mature we are. Are we treating Jesus as only as our part Saviour?
In this All Age Worship Service we throw a party to celebrate God's mercy and kindness towards us.
Some aspects of God's Will for individuals are very easy. Let's not limit God in the way He can speak to us and in what He tells us to do.
The main purpose of prayer is to align your own ideas and desires with God's standards and will. As we choose wholeheartedly to follow God, so our identity is in Him.

What does it mean to worship God? Corporately we often sing to show God's worth, but that is only one part of how we can worship God both individually and as a group. We 'speak' about many things throughout our lives and most people have a favourite subject(s). How do we get Jesus into the various types of dialogues and monologues we have? How did Jesus speak about Himself? We are encouraged not to dilute the topic of God and to be ready to describe the burning in our hearts that we have experienced. From 39:10 Hyungjin Yoon describes his recent few months working and learning with YWAM. He 'spoke' about Jesus in Nuneaton, Egypt and the Philippines.
We are reminded how God is generous in many ways and that God loves us to be generous in return. Being generous as we are already persuaded and inclined to do so shows an excellent level of maturity. Being generous in a non-reluctant and spontaneous manner can be shown in many ways. As we follow God's will we become fully free in our generosity - even in tricky situations. Let's open our eyes fully to God's mercy and grace and pour out our lives. Others will be encouraged as well as ourselves!
Reading the stories in the Bible is so important, but what is the story of the Bible?
Using Matthew 26:36-46, we are reminded that Jesus was a man of prayer - even in the hardest times. Hebrews 5:7 - Jesus prayed with fervency and in submission to His Father. Let us follow His example. Let Jesus' concerns be our concerns.
We are reminded that as a Family it is important to meet together. Four people describe recent encouragements at the end too.
Sin is a reality. It is a core value that we hold that we need to and should repent to God and forgive others. Sin is destructive. We are encouraged to not try to hide our sin, but to go to a trusted friend and talk about it and then change. We should model forgiveness to others in society. Baptism is a symbol that we are now living differently
What godly intentional actions or habits do you have in your life? In this new series we look at why it is a good idea to build them into your life. Putting God first in our our thoughts and actions is very important. We hear about people who did so and are encouraged to do so in our own lives even when this might be difficult. Becoming good disciples together is very helpful.
We hear much of the Family Service where we are reminded of the different weeds that might appear in our lives. We are encouraged to use the weedkillers of prayer, fasting, giving, serving, and blessing our enemies to get rid of them.
We hear a little about what Brian and Trish have been doing over the past few years. We are also reminded to work in the field that God has placed us in and that God will bring His work about. Let's sound the trumpet for God. Maggie and Nik also share some brief thoughts.
God is really good, even if we are in desperate situations. King Hezekiah had fine relationships with people and with God. He turned to the right people for help when he needed it. All the things we do can be significant for others. Invest in your relationship with God and with others.
God is full of grace to mankind. Sometimes He shows this in an explosive way and sometimes as a cascade in our lives. We are called to be Heralds to tell other people about this grace. This grace allows us to wear the best robe - His robe of righteousness. God is glorified, we are stretched and others are changed as together we show God's grace to the people we meet.
In Nik’s second Talk on Isaiah 40 we reminded of how and why God comforts us, but then we are challenged to be Heralds for God. We are saved by grace, but God looks to us to make effort. time and finances available to Him. Josephus is used to fill out the story of Isaiah, John the Baptist and Jesus.
The foundations of the nation of Israel were built on prophecies. Isaiah 53 is a brilliant prophecy about Jesus. His blood is powerful. This Talk helps us to consider several aspects of His sacrifice. Do what God says even if it doesn't make sense at first.
It’s really good to look at the structure of Isaiah whether you believe one person wrote it or several. Chapter 40 is a turning point in the book. God makes a barren desert blossom. What is our part in this? Are we prepared to toil and labour for God with everything that we have - time, energy and ideas? What is our character like? Does it reflect what is written in Galatians 5:22, 23? Will we decide to be full-time lighthouse keepers for God? Do we have a sense of urgency?
