Episode description

A recent report, published by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), gives insights into transboundary climate risks. The report claims that transboundary climate risks to food security are often overlooked. The analysis was based on the six key agricultural commodities (maize, rice, wheat, soy, sugar cane, and coffee). The findings show that the United States, China and Brazil are the major sources of climate risks. The report suggests that international cooperation is paramount to reduce transboundary climate risks.
