¶ The Healing Power of Nudity
So the intentional nudity, the conscious nudity, is that we're using nudity as a medicine, as a tool for healing. Thank you for tuning in your consciousness to the Naked Human Part podcast. I want to acknowledge your presence and what it took for you to be here today. Listening. My intention for you is that you receive what you came here for and find what you didn't know you needed.
This podcast is about what it means to be a human being and what it really means to be naked and how our relationship with Mother Nature has the power to heal us. My name is Carrie Cott and I'm a new to nature photographer, licensed physician of Chinese medicine, plant guide and wild woman embodiment mentor. I help women heal from sexual trauma, awakening their authentic voice, and distinguish between fear and intuition so they can be led by their deep feminine heart.
I bring to life in this podcast my own internal wisdom. I will only share what I've learned and experienced on a personal level. As you listen, I encourage you to take from this what you need and just trash the rest. So happy listening.
¶ Introduction to Conscious Nudity
Let's talk about conscious nudity, baby. Like, what is that? What does that mean? Are they just fancy fluff words for getting naked? I mean, you put the word conscious in there or maybe even intentional nudity. Like what does that even mean? And I can only share what that means from my perspective in what I'm sharing and what I'm talking about, what it means for someone else, maybe super similar.
But I am here to talk about this space, this space that I'm providing in this conversation in and events that I host and private healing sessions. Like what does this mean? So the reason that I bring in to the words conscious or sometimes I say intentional nudity to bring light or to clarify that this is an intentional space. Ways, intention, being a purpose, boundaries. Why are we here? What is this about?
So the intentional nudity, the conscious nudity, is that we're using nudity as a medicine, as a tool for healing. We're creating an environment where there are intentional boundaries. So the intentional boundary is that there is no sex in this space, there's no sexual propositioning. This is a space that we can enter parts of ourselves, physically, emotionally, energetically, knowing that sex is not being asked of us, we're not being required to provide sexual.
And a big part of that is because this is a non sexual healing space deeply rooted in healing sexual trauma. So to provide this boundary, we're intentionally coming in. So the intentional part isn't necessarily to say because of this boundary, the intention Is that we have a clear purpose of why we're coming together. And there's clarity about what is encapsulated in the experience in this space, in this journey.
So whether you're coming to a wild woman nude event or whether you're exploring this on your own, this intentionality is like, what is the purpose and what are the boundaries? And what am I here to explore and. And how can I feel safe doing that? And what feels good for me? Like, that's the intentionality consciousness. Like, conscious nudity is like we're bringing it to light. It's in our awareness. We're consciously. Which I feel like is another word to describe intentionally.
We're consciously aware that we're diving into this medicine and that it is providing a space for healing. Healing that maybe we're aware of and healing that we're not aware of, versus.
¶ Exploring the Boundaries of Nudity and Healing
So, like, on the flip side of this is that we can be naked anytime, right? Ultimately, we can. We can go skinny dipping one night late. We can be in an environment where nudity is welcomed, and so we get naked. And, you know, some of these other containers and experiences, it's intentional nudity. Some of it is that it's welcomed. So there are boundaries. So to say is that, like, clothing's optional, you can be naked. And then there's other clarifications about the experience.
This conversation of it being intentional and we're talking about it and we're aware is really just the description of it. And it is not to using these words for me, sharing them with you and in the context that I am sharing them in is not to say that other environments and other experiences with nudity are greater or lesser. It is not a judgment of other space. They are words that I'm using intentionally to help focus energy, to clarify so that we can have clarity.
So it can be like, huh, what's that? Or, oh, this is what we're doing here, you know, so they're words to help describe what the fuck is happening here literally. So that is the context of conscious, intentional nudity as it relates to my vocabulary, my intimate spaces with ceremonies and retreats and private sessions and journeying with women.
¶ Exploring the Medicine of Nudity
So some great questions to ask yourself if you're being drawn to nudity and using it as medicine, as healing, whether on your own or you're feeling drawn to come work with me. Some really great questions to ask yourself would be, like, what would this mean for me? Like, what would journeying in the medicine of nudity make possible for me? And a really super super great question. Is, why am I being called to this medicine? Why? Why is this calling me? Why am I being drawn to this?
And also, potentially, if you're being triggered, why am I being triggered by this? And also a sidebar, a trigger. Is anything right? Like, we can be triggered into joy and bliss and anger and rage and all of it. So just wanted to clarify that. So ultimately, it's all a trigger if you're being triggered in a way that's, like, repulsive or what the is this? Or like, whatever, it's illuminating for you, like, what's that about? And why? You know, just diving deeper into that.
