Hello and welcome. With the Mind, we pursue wisdom of the past between primary secondary worlds. I'm your host, Andrew Snyder, and I am always grateful for your company. This is gonna be one of our shorter episodes, and if that's a surprise to you, then be sure to go back and listen to episode thirty nine. And before we get going, I want to thank all my patrons who make this show as well as the broader Mythic Mind

community and Humanity's Guild possible and so many things. To all my patrons, but especially to my super patrons and greater and so that includes Mark, Aaron and Aaron and Jeremiah Paul, Andrew Brandon, Clinton, Emmy Harrison, Ian, Jamie, Jocelyn, Laura, Matthew Patrick, and William. Again, I could not do any of this without you, and so I really do

appreciate your continued support. And if you'd like to support my work, including with this podcast, my research and my writing ambitions, and my investment in the Mythic Mind Humanity's Guild, then please head over to patreon dot com slash Mythic Mind and support me as I work to create an enriching Christian Humanity space outside of formal academia. Every little bit helps, and if you're able to

swing it, higher levels of support help even more. And as tokens of appreciation, supporters at the junior apprentice, tire or hire will receive a book upon joining or increasing from lower levels of current support, as well as books periodically. With continuous support, any level of support will give you access to add free episodes as soon as they're ready for launch, as well as patron

exclusive episodes. Additionally, any level support grants you full access to the Mythic Mind Humanity's Guild, and this includes our exclusive discord access to our Unity substack. Even more. And so if you appreciate the work that I'm doing, I humbly ask for your support so I can move closer to doing this full time. Now I'm gonna start reading some positive feedback that I get on occasion. And so here's what one patron recently posted on Twitter. She wrote,

quote, this is my one and only Patreon subscription. I think Andrew's content is so valuable and worth at least ten dollars a month. His episodes on KRK Guard were transformative for me. End quote. Another patroon tweeted quote the discord access alone is worth the price of admission end quote. And so come on over to patreon dot com slash mythic Mind to support my work and to become part of the community. All right, so I have a recommendation for

you today. I'd like to plug Michael Heiser's book The Unseen Realm, which I've been reading, or rather listening to lately. Apparently he is a fairly big name, but I only recently discovered him. So many avenues of thought are are segmented off from the standard pathways, and so I constantly find myself exploring new exciting territories. In this case, doctor Heiser provides some absolutely fascinating

exploration into the supernatural worldview of the Bible. He gets into many topics that I'm really not qualifying to deal with as a first hand expert, but it is evident that he has done his homework and his perspectives make more fluid sense out of so many of the bibles seemingly strange passages that passers and modern exegetes tend to shoehorn into domesticated shapes instead of embracing what's actually being said. For

example, in Genesis one, Why does God speak in the plural? Let us make man in our image fearful of falling into polytheism, which of course is not what Scripture is saying. Moderns tend to say that God is using the royal we or maybe this is a hint at Trinitarian doctrine, despite the fact that there's no other place in scripture when God speaks in this way.

These explanations don't seem to hold up, and doctor Heiser does a great job providing an explanation that does make sense in light of the Biblical way of thinking. And so this is just one example. He also talks about angels and other spiritual beings, nephilim, and so much more that again just makes sense with what Scripture actually says. And so again I would highly recommend that you

check out Michael Heiser's book The Unseen Realm. I've been listening to it on audible and if you like audiobooks, it has a pretty good recording, and to be sure to check it out. All right, So that's it for now. Be sure to lend your support over at patreon dot com slash Mythic Mind and join me next time when we discuss either Verandom or Smith of Routen

Major, depending on how my interview schedule shakes out. Also, be sure to subscribe to my substack on Tolkien Letters at andrew In Snyder dot substack dot com. It's been on hiatus for a few months, but I intend to get that going again very soon. And so that's it for now, and I wish you many meaningful roads ahead.
