Episode description

In the serene suburb of Seaford, NY, the Herrmann family's dreamy life is upended as their ordinary home becomes the epicenter of an extraordinary poltergeist phenomenon. With no prior history of hauntings or misfortune, their residence suddenly erupts with unexplained activities—bottles popping open, objects moving on their own, and an eerie sense of an unseen presence. Despite skepticism and attempts to find rational explanations, the events transcend understanding, drawing the attention of paranormal experts, media, and a curious public, turning the Herrmann household into a bewildering mystery that captivates the nation. The case that would become known as "Popper the Poltergeist" or the "Seaford Poltergeist" would eventually serve as inspiration for the Steven Spielberg film, "Poltergeist."
