(00:14):
Hi, welcome to our very first episode of My Zen Pet. I am Lisa Spector, your pet coming Maestro.

(00:21):
Before I play some piano music for you and Buster, I am going to give you a tip to create a Zen pet environment at home. Focusing on sound.

(00:31):
I suggest you take a sound survey by sitting comfortably quietly in your home, maybe with your pets at your side, and listen to all the sounds you're hearing. Do you hear buzzes? Do you hear electronic devices? Do you hear beeps? Do you hear humming of the refrigerator?

(00:50):
All of those sounds that you're hearing your dog hears twice as much as you do here as a much higher frequency and a little bit of a lower frequency, and you want to do what you can to diminish those sounds.

(01:02):
So if there is a buzz of the washing machine or the dryer, when the clothes are done, or you have your computer sound on, and every email that comes in, there's a beep that goes on or there are any electronic devices that beep.

(01:17):
Often times there is a way to diminish or turn off that beeping sound and see what you can do to lower that volume.

(01:25):
It will really help to provide a Zen pet environment at home.

(01:30):
Music is another way of doing that. And so I am about to play on the piano with my left hand, only a piece by Bach that was originally written for flute, The Sicilian.

(01:41):
Well flute is a very high-frequency instrument, and that can charge your dog's nervous system. We want to discharge the nervous system. This is an arrangement for left-hand only lower frequencies, which my left-hand plays, have been shown and proven to calm the canine nervous system and often relieve anxiety issues.

(02:01):
This is an arrangement by pelvic can Stein who sadly lost his right arm in world war I. He was a professional pianist touring often before that it happened. However, the blessing of it is that he then rearranged a lot of classical music for left hand only. And I will be playing that for you in other episodes as well.

(02:21):
Now, enjoy cuddle up on the sofa with Buster and with kitty and enjoy music from my upcoming album, Dog Gone calm. This is the Bach Sicilian arranged for left-hand only.
