On this weeks episode, Geraldo and Bec interview Barbara Belmont (she/her), an analytical chemistry lecturer and laboratory instructor in the Department of Chemistry at Cal State Dominguez Hills. We discuss her work with National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals (NOGLSTP), laying the groundwork for the Gay and Trans Chemists and Allies Division of ACS, and how owning her identity as a lesbian scientist paved the way for her activism.
