Episode description

Episode 19 continues our NCAA Tournament styled brackets to determine the greatest rock album of all time. This episode focuses on the second round of the 1970s. Matchups for this episode: (1) David Bowie "The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" vs. (8) Bruce Springsteen "Born To Run"  (2) Led Zeppelin "Led Zeppelin IV" vs. (10) Black Sabbath "Paranoid"  (3) Pink Floyd "The Wall" vs. (6) The Who "Who's Next"  (4) Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" vs. (5) Joy Division "Unknown Pleasures"  Notes/corrections for this episode: We resolved most of the audio issues with the song clips we've been having, except for "Disorder" which is why the beginning of the song wasn't included.  Roy Bittan and Max Weinberg both played on Meat Loaf's "Bat Out Of Hell" album. "You Make Loving Fun" was another key Christine McVie song that Scott forgot to mention.  The other Pink Floyd albums that could’ve been included instead of “The Wall” are “The Dark Side Of The Moon” and “Wish You Were Here.” “Planet Caravan" had congas not bongos (and flute as well thereby adding to its uniqueness).  Black Sabbath (the album) was another Sabbath album with a cool creepy cover.
