Episode description

In this weeks episode we had the immense pleasure of speaking with Kathy Iandoli about her incredible new book God Save the Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip Hop.

Kathy is a critically acclaimed journalist and author who has written for Vibe, Rolling Stone, Vice, Pitchfork, Playboy and many other publications. She has also held editorial positions at top hip hop websites such as All Hip Hop and BET. Kathy is an alumni in residence of music business at NYU and has appeared across the media, television, radio and panels discussing hip hop and gender.

We had a blast getting to know Kathy and learning about women's evolution in hip hop. God Save the Queens is available now where ever books are sold and we highly recommend picking up a copy!
