Episode description

During the late 1970s and early 80's there was a string of missing women and children outside Fairbanks, Alaska. When the bodies of these victims started to turn up, investigators could no longer deny the involvement of a serial killer. Five women between 1979 and 1982 had been strangled to death and subsequently shot in the face. Alaskan officials would end up thousands of miles away in Texas during their hunt for the perpetrator.
