Episode description

The 1959 Montana State Prison Riot was a significant incident that occurred on April 16, at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana, USA. This riot was one of the most violent and destructive prison uprisings in Montana's history.

During the riot, inmates took several guards and prison staff members hostage and set parts of the prison on fire. The situation became extremely dangerous, with both inmates and law enforcement personnel sustaining injuries. The Montana State Prison Riot of 1959 serves as a historical example of the challenges and dangers associated with prison security and management and is often studied in the context of prison riots and their impact on correctional facilities.

Let's Mourn.
