Episode description

Jack Unterweger, who had initially been incarcerated for murder, managed to achieve fame as an author despite his dark past. However, tragically, he went on to commit a series of heinous crimes by strangling multiple women in Austria and Los Angeles between 1990 and 1991.

During the 1980s, Unterweger displayed exemplary behavior as a prisoner, serving as a testament to the notion that it is never too late to reform, regardless of the gravity of one's previous actions.

Despite his history of criminal activities, which included sexual assault and murder, Unterweger experienced a transformative realization while serving his life sentence for a killing that occurred in 1976. Remarkably, he utilized his time in prison to write an autobiography and a collection of exceptionally beautiful poems. These literary works gained recognition to the extent that they were incorporated into the curriculum of Austrian schools and received accolades from Nobel Prize laureates.
