The Disappearance Of Alissa Turney

Alissa Marie Turney, born in 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona, was the daughter of Barbara Farner and Stephen Strahm. Her parents divorced when she was just three years old, after which her mother married Michael Turney, who had three children from a previous relationship.

Michael adopted Alissa and her older brother, John, and soon after, he and Barbara welcomed a daughter, Sarah. Tragically, Barbara passed away from cancer when Alissa was nine, leaving Michael to raise the children alone.


At the time of her disappearance, Alissa resided with her adoptive father, Michael Turney, and her half-sister, Sarah Turney. The other siblings had reached adulthood and no longer lived at home. Alissa was employed at the fast-food chain Jack in the Box and was in a relationship with Jon Laakman.
