Episode description

An additional elderly woman identified the Bouncing Ball Killer prior to her death, providing a description to law enforcement. Lena Bensusen, aged 84, was assaulted by an intruder in her residence and subsequently succumbed to her injuries at the hospital on September 6, 1960, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Her passing was never formally linked to the serial killer.
Who were the possible suspects in the Bouncing Ball Killer slayings?

In June 1960, following the murder of Mercedes Langeron and the subsequent release of a sketch depicting the assailant, a widespread panic ensued as the community feared the presence of a serial killer.

The Los Angeles Mirror reported, Over 100 individuals have come forward, claiming that the suspect bears a resemblance to someone they are familiar with or have encountered. A team of detectives dedicated their entire Wednesday to investigating these leads, but unfortunately, they yielded no results.

Nevertheless, law enforcement did make several arrests in the initial months following the release of the sketch.

On July 2, 1960, 35-year-old Noble Harper was apprehended after being observed bouncing a rubber ball outside a market. However, he was released the following day due to insufficient evidence linking him to the crime.
