Episode description
Richard Allen has been found guilty of two counts of murder and two counts of felony murder in the Delphi murder trial. Allen was convicted of killing 13-year-old Abigail “Abby” Williams and 14-year-old Liberty “Libby” German in 2017. The prosecution presented evidence including a recording of Allen confessing to the crime, a bullet that matched his gun found at the crime scene, and testimony from experts who believed Allen’s voice matched the “Bridge Guy” audio recording from the crime. The defense argued Allen was not the “Bridge Guy” and that his confessions were unreliable due to mental health struggles. The jury ultimately found Allen guilty after 19 hours of deliberation. Allen faces a possible sentence of up to 130 years in prison.
