Episode description

On Tuesday, March 26, 2018, a German tourist encountered a distressing sight along California’s picturesque Highway 1 in Mendocino County, situated 200 miles north of San Francisco.
Typically, visitors and residents marvel at the stunning views of the rugged cliffs and the steep descents to the Pacific Ocean, but on this particular day, an unsettling scene unfolded. The tourist observed a GMC Yukon overturned on the rocks beneath a steep 100-foot cliff.

Emergency services were notified, and rescue personnel descended the rocky terrain. Inside the vehicle, the lifeless bodies of Jennifer and Sarah Hart, a married couple aged 38, were found.
Additionally, the remains of three of their adopted children—Markis, 19; Jeremiah, 14; and Abigail, 14—were also discovered nearby. The three remaining children of the Harts—Devonte, 15; Hannah, 16; and Ciera, 12—were unaccounted for at the site of the accident.

Those who were close with the Hart Family say they were shocked by the crash.
