Episode description

When we think about a child with a disability, we automatically assume that it's physical. Something we can visually see and identify; but many times it's not. It's the unseen and unheard disabilities that we tend not to discuss and as a mother trying to navigate this space, it can be very difficult.

Kate Nolen has spent four years trying to understand and support her beautiful daughter who has been experienced epilepsy, ADHD and other learning difficulties. She speaks openly about her experience, the challenges, the beautiful moments and how important it is for all mothers to understand that there is sometimes more than meets the eye when it comes to a child's behaviour.
