Episode description

We're positioned to believe that motherhood is natural and that it comes easy, but the truth is that it can be quite the opposite. Even if you already have children, every pregnancy and birth is different and at times either or both of these experiences can be quite challenging. Alice Bingham opens up about the difficulties she endured with her third child Lottie both during pregnancy and through a traumatic birth; describing how both of these experiences hindered her ability to connect with her daughter. A situation many women experience but have a fear to admit. She talks openly about her thoughts, her feelings and her healing journey and highlights that no matter the struggle, it does not make you a bad mother and your child is never any less loved.
