12 // Dr Dakhina Mitra // Children as Experts of Experience
Episode description
Dr Dakhina Mitra joins host Emily Unity to speak about her experience as a researcher, specialising in child rights and participatory research design. Dakhina has worked to elevate the voices of children experiencing a range of marginalisation, including family violence, migration, HIV, malnutrition, poverty, and child marriage.
She has worked across many cultural contexts with the Centre for Excellence in Child & Family Welfare, Save the Children Australia, Child Safe Horizons, Make-A-Wish Foundation India, and Global Development Network. Throughout this work, she has ensured that diverse children are empowered and respected to be the experts of their experience.
