We we you know, not calling girl somewhere this last night, goddess. So we are here. I am be Simone and we're gonna have a good something now. Yeah,
it was a great. It was a great day to day though it was. We got through. We killed it. I did goddamn with who who else? I with a little short nigger body. Yeah, we got a lot of you know, he can't already kill me. That's a raven. Believe he was on the show. Yes, I learned something to do. He was cute on the show. You're not cute now it's a little bit more weird. How old was he? Raven too? Look? Maybe the cigarettes? Knuckles black? I'm like, what's going on, Bobby, don't touch me? Remember
little hand on scary movie? My germs his hands. How you been selling houses? Girl books? High billion dollar houses? I told you, I'm bracelets. You live in l A. Yeah, so when I can afford the Haliba money. She's not one of them. She say calabasket, that's Calibasis, Calabasqui you're trying to say calbaskets can caliban ca that's is anybody in your family like that's done real estate? So you're the first one. What made you get into that? The money? Yeah?
Could you still? Yeah? Thank you at the home. Yeah, honestly, I think it was just growing up in l A. Everything you do is plugging people. So it's like they wanna you know, they want to run a house, they want to get cars, they want to go to the club, they want to meet girls, they want to whatever, and I was like, I'm going to have all those plugs and I'm going to hit every single mark and make all the bags. And they're doing it and they can't do without you. After that, what else do you do
besides real estate? So I used to work in the clubs. So I worked in the clubs until I was like and then, um, I pretty much made all my contacts and meant everyone off of that. And then that's how I started figuring out all right, so as if people come in, they really need to hit all these points, so I canna get my license. I'm gonna meet these people. And I kind of just hustled it out until I became like the main plug. Not getting your real estate license was hard. It's hard. I mean it's all law
really has. But feel that rent apartment. So when it's time to close all the house, if I was your cousin, would I be sladding in to get my house? Because I mean my credit school, I know how to think. It makes your credit fix your I'll send you to my people that find Yeah, no problem, you'll do that in Atlanta. Yeah, okay, yeah, do I need pay stuff a little pat count something apartment didn't come. I'm a lot of my pasto when I first moved. For sure,
you get fa person. Yeah, she said you waked up. I said, Marcy, you know me put it on there my back end. I am so excited because today we have an amazing guess y'all give it up for my girl. Just jes in the mask and is real. Before you sit down and get comfortable, you want to like the glass. I'm definitely want to say that I was comfortable first. So you want to glass the red lit y'all. Y'all, y'all thought about me. I'm like, what's sorry? Just taste
it tasting what's up y'all? What they do? Yes, they didn't do nothing. They first all right, let's get into it because I want to know. First of all, just hand there's in so many things. Entrepreneur, stand up, comedian, actress, I mean, just a boss everything and our friend. You know we all come from social media. Um, so what's going on with your career right now? Like you know lately that's the one I didn't real, right, Yeah, what's up? What do you? Where do you see yourself in ten years?
That's like one of them questions. Yeah, but I got my own podcast. I do Carefully Reckless every Wednesday by our radio. Um with a black Charlemagne. That's my man. She actually just defended me on her podcast when think, yeah, I love that episode. But yeah, I got the podcast. I got a fitness line. Um, I have a doggyline. I'm dropping next week. Do you have a dog? I have a French bull dog. You just got a dog? No, I have to dog. I had my dog for like a year, Bain. I just gotta oh, what kind? What
do you have? It's a little mix, it's not it's a Yorky. What's a little muddy muddy money working? Yes? His name boy? His name is un Oh well all right my boyfriends versus Spanish? Little Spanish. No, he's definitely black one. Still okay, how did you started in a comedy? Next question? Now, shouldn't listen as I'm also working on my special as well. Really, yes, let me tell you something about just hilarious. Okay, So I called her Fridays and people always ask me this question of interviews. Who
do you look up to a comedy? Who you know got you into comedy? I always say my peers, just hilarious, pretty v because that's literally who I went to and who stuff I looked at and was inspired by to get on stage. And she was one of the first people I called when I did stand up, and she sat on the phone with me and went over these whack ass jokes. It was like when you're working, you know,
but you helped me. So it was on my phone for like an hour, and she helped me, and I got on stage, and you know, I had so much confidence because of that conversation she helped me. She wrote, you like I just punched it up. I said, I have an ugly negree, Like how do I make it better? We're gonna stop right there, but we'll be right back to the Women of Wild in our podcast now. Because you did Jeff jam Right, you did the comedy that that right there was so inspiring to me, Like just
seeing you on that stage everything. Yeah, just like you have Martin you have like yeah, literally listen speaking of Martin. Actually, like that's exactly how I got into comedy. Like I was going viral. I've been on Instagram for like like since I made my first videos of Maury parodies. Like two was the first time he went viral. Yes, and I don't know why I snatched the video down. I was on some dumb I mean dumb stuff I just snatched. I don't know, sorry, but yeah, I snatched it down
and then um, Martin had called me. I started doing more more videos and he called me like a year later. I never when I touched the stage. One time I did one spoken word one and one of the comedy yes, and I want him dad playing my brother big brother put me up there and I went him there. And
that was one time. Martin called me like a year two years after me going viral or whatever this story yes, finishing, just kidding so and he he was like, yo, you you do comedy and um, and I was like no. He actually was calling me for something else from tripping. He was calling me, I should you don't even know the story, You don't even know, like something else. And he said, how long have you been doing stand up?
And you said two to three years? And you lied because he wants you to open up for him, and he was giving you an opportunity, and you lie to Martin Lawrence so that you could get on that stage with him. And I'm glad you did that because now we're here. I love that she knows this and you don't exactly and I'm telling and Martin, I'm we letting
me know. Remember lying to Martin, she said, And he still Martin, I had never been on stage, right, I'd just be so interested to know everyone's story because you're you're not like an open book too much, like you drop as you go, and I'm big on that. As for his confirmation, like you know you got something in the works, and I'm a confirmed. I mean, we get it. What's for use for you? But sometimes, like I said, sometimes the enemy can't take stuff away from you, but
it can delay it. So that's why I always said, but for everyone else. But literally, you're not like an open book. So that's why I was like, what's next when you've got in the words, like you know what you have going on? Because I'd be like up to because you still you make you still make time to do your videos to still you know, perform for your followers because you've got people that look to you fifty fourteen that can't come to you, so you still have to,
you know, perform. And that's a different fan base because I have with y'all. You know what I'm saying, I still was just about well, you know, it's just about that balance and all of that, you know, still having to create content that I have a podcast now has to be a new topic to speak one minutes, that's twenty minutes. I have to put into um a topic where your opinion on what you think about something that has to be a true perspective. It can't be no
bull ship all together, you know what I'm saying. It got to be what they want to hear, you know what I mean. Then I have to be mom, you know. And then I got to write jokes constantly because I'm working on my special on the Three City. So I'm gonna do Atlanta Bottomore easily. So I'm gonna do a package crazy, So I'm like working on that. Then I'm writing a sitcom myself, like writing it. Me and my
brother Daisy. I love him hilarious. It's hilarious from Baltimore. Yeah, that's my man, even traveling with me and so on with me, since you know what I'm saying. Yeah, and I remember when I was on your tour. Yes you didn't watch jazz I host Um we did like maybe like four Yeah, it was a Virginia, Ohio we did Ohio, because maybe we did Cleveland. I think we did. It was me and you watch the pink roll outside all day, so it was me the the other grade. I was
getting on my nerves. Oh my god, who was remember the girl was a comedian. Was a comedian? Alright, so how's your son? And I still have Actually I like to I like to keep like my flies and posters and stuff. So but and I have it on my fridge and yeah, scratched her face out. Let me tell you what I liked about what she said to me though, But it was me you and watched jazz and her right, and thank you again for allowing me to come on. You know, I hosted. I ain't gonna stand it, but
clearly the same thing practice. But um, she said to me. She was just like, you're not a good host. She said that, she said to me. And I was like, she said, it was like four years ago. Is she old? She was older? Right? And I said, okay, right, you don't think I'm a good This is when I lived in Charlotte, my first apartment. Mind you now, I was just getting on Instagram and I wasn't really out there. You know, I don't need you know how many caves I had? I don't know if I don't know who
it was. But literally she was like, you know, a good host. Jazzy got me out my house and you're standing because Jazzy was just like, yo, it's not money and stand up, like you should do it me. And I was like, oh my god, like I host jass, She's all right, we'll host. Like just do it because you know what's crazy to me about you're not a good host. Y'all. People are entitled to their opinions, and
there's always for growth. Give people constructive criticism. There is nothing constructive about that conduct or actually mind you, but I'm saying your businesses sometimes some things just don't even need to be comming at, or you're not even doing it out of love. You got a good host. You could have pulled me to the side and said I see something and you maybe you need to work. But if you don't know how to say that, don't say nothing,
because honestly she was she was. But what did you say when she it was being Jazz standing there and um when she said that, we just looked at was like, what are you talking about? Didn't say I didn't say anything to her Like I was just like, call Jazzy, give me her name. Yeah, I was like, all right, the next I want to know. And the next day, I mean I culled it like it was just like and then what she said then she smirked at me and was just like, oh that was that was good.
But it was something where you come back she did. She go up. She was let say her set was her set was cool. You know, I'm not gonna hate on Siss like she was on my show. Yeah it was yeah, but literally literally literally literally literally like, um, what was about to say? It was something after I was gonna say it? Um, she like I said, she smirked, she said whatever. That she was. She funny, she was decent.
But my thing you just understand too. You have people that that's so miserable and I say miserable because I'm Caribbean, you know, so miserable in their own space of we come from social media and they've been doing this ship for seven ten years and it's like, how did ship get on this tour and hosting and doing whatever and acting food? She could go on a robe and a pink bond, a pink pink robe low Bonne and be.
You know, you know they love me mine. You know I went out there, they knew, they knew Peanut already in mine. Like I said, I don't know how many hundred kids or two hund kids I had, but I still, you know, own that stage, even in the midst of
you telling me I wasn't a good host. But now when we fast forward so where we at, it's just like sweets, like, let's not do that, okay, because my thing is when you when you're coming from social media and we all could you know, talk about it, It's like it's not easy, you know, one when you're trying to transition, none of it is easy. But I'm telling you one thing, I love stand up more than doing videos. Man, me too, I love it. That's it's nothing like those
instant laughs. Ever since that day I did the Martin Show. I mean, you know, like that was thirteen people I was in front of in my own first show. Someone else I would have been scared shitless. Yeah you know what I'm saying. Am I allowed to curse because I feel these women do not that you all haven't cursed at all. And I'm like, she don't know, Like we're like yeah, to speak to Martin, it's like, who's I want to know, who's your mentor? You have a mentor
in in um my big brother, DESI me my mentor. Honestly, you know, I'm gonna be honest with you. I didn't grow up on stand up comedy. I grew up watching Martin you know show, and you would be like surprised that I didn't watch, Like I have family members that are upset with me when they Thanksgiving and they're talking about like living single and you know, like other shows that we should not even girlfriends, not even like really
like moha. Out of that, I was, I'm gonna give you this Martin Causby show, Leave It the Beaver, like I'm so you know different, Like no, watch that like seriously, yeah, hey, Arnold, I love that. I'm Lizzie MacGuire, M. Yeah, I love Pote Nickelode. Yeah. Yeah, I didn't grow up on that. Say I did not. I promised that. I honestly just grew up like watching the only sitcom that I love was Fresh Prince and Martin every Day, Martin every Day, you know, And that's how I got into that ship.
And no, I like I absorbed so much from what I was young. So it's like, you know, and didn't you talk like me? You know I talk like him but from the same so ye, so I would similarity hear him because he talked like the people. Well that's like, you know, growing up watching that ship was so relatable, you know, opened up and I can't wait. I always say, Pam, that's literally solarly when I was, and he was like yeah, yeah, like just the animation and the class. So that's how
long have you been on Wilding Out? My first season was two seventeen. Yeah, dang, that is so funny. How I got on, I wasn't. I still had that picture of all of us in New York City when I was fighting against the wind my face, I was like, everybody look like I was like, it was like it was remember you had on this, you walked right past me. You had a partner on the middle, honey long weed and it was literally some like some color block shirt. That's like I remember of the damage come to me. Yeah,
and then you you made it. You made it. I was sent home you Yeah. The Fridays. First we went to Fridays. We did we had fun, we ate, we drank yeah, And I was like, all right, give me a dinna laugh. Remember um, before I even got on, like right before I took a picture with my son, I was naked and my son remember that? Remember that? And yo, that ship went viral and I remember what's your name? Um? Oh my god, the Chicago Chicago dude? Hold them? Yeah, I said, Johnny holm Co said, uh
some and you know, like very disrespectful or whatever. Are y'all cool? Now? Wow? And I gotta show him on the show with him Wow coming out? Are we not cool? Yeah? He could apologize and all I still would never you know what I'm saying, We like, I could respect if you apologize. He's sent a nigga to apologize to me. He guess who he sent to apologize to me? D C never and DC would never do that apologize yet especially um D rang the most and it was only
the worst. Apology was like a wall in our game? Are we playing pickup? I am so sorry? You know no, I didn't need it, but I just like, what and I gotta send my message back to Robotto. What we're doing a dumbass bottle? D Right, You're on my nerves? Like he couldn't even he was laughing every gigly and You're like, it's an apology. He really just and then he got service like seriously, no for real, don't make
me laugh nobody. He's like yeah he uh he said, you know, he didn't really mean it by yeah, but you should not be the messenger, right, No, no, done, And I'm on the show with him. It was a long time, like it took a minute for me to even want to do any type of show. But look, I came to wilding Out because because he was on here. I'm telling you X Now I don't know if now
I'll remember, I swear what happened. I only came to wild and you wanted to be Nick was like, Nick was like, yo, you fired you yeah on the Rose and Tip. Actually, I don't even think Nick was worried about the ship that was going on. He knew what was wrong with Corey said about my son, but he wasn't really he just was like gross so wilding Out and I'm like so, he like you want know you come up audition New York whatever, Like yeah, Corey, what's up?
All right? Whatever? Because he didn't only talk about me and the tweet. He talked about my son. Yeah, and that's literally he literally he literally this is why like our remember I remember that black whars like wow wow. So you understand when Nick was like, yo, you want to come up to an audition, I'm like, yeah, I always wanted to be all day. I want to punch him. Yes, yeah, But I don't know if Nick figured out why, because when I got up there, I don't know why he wasn't.
And now I'm sitting here having to be funny and that's not what I You're like, where's Corey Hug? Like, make up a rhyme here? Like this rhyme it's called hawk m. So I'm like, and I don't know. I think I say, like it's Coreoco Maya. Wow. Then I don't know that I say that. Yeah yeah yeah damn. He was like nah he not. I was like, why did you ask me to come here? I thought she
was like the hell me out? You know you already know just speaking the speaking of the show still, because I know you're talking about how you started, yeah on modeling out. So now you know we have a whole new season, a brand new season, you know. Um, it's amazing revolution evolution. Um, so what's you know your favorite game on this season? Okay, or they don't even got to be this season because just like I don't like, we don't got, we don't go, we don't do what's
your favorite? So what's your favorite game? But she's like, I think right, yeah, yeah, no, honestly, I'm gonna give you my favorite game in my least favorite game, even though you ain't axt. I don't care. I ain't gonna lie my favorite game it's actually in the classroom. I yeah, I like it. I like it. My second favorite game pick up and kill it. But I'm doing ain't it yet? So what's your least favorite? Um uh, let me holler, but we won't even do that. But that's my least favorite.
I don't really have at least favorite this year. I like all the all of them, like it makes you sharp, will rapping and today kill this girl, kill goddamn time. I ain't never did it before. How you do? Goddam? I don't really rose. She got out there. I was like, bitch, you rose, period. Yeah, but I do it differently li literally, differently literally, and I think everybody does in their own way.
And I got girl to be like yo, talk about black you like you know, you not need it, like you know, just no share, yeah, just something you know. I just so the last episode, we talked to Nick about cancel culture, and I do want to talk to you about that because we've both been through that and I talked to Nick about it. Um, how do you feel like, um, it changed you if it did at all? Or how do you do you feel like? Um? You know, uh, you dealt with it in a in a good way.
You feel like what do you feel about the whole scenario with cancel call? Honestly, at first he used to bother me a whole one, like it used to really get me down, um in the beginning for real. And then after a while when like after like my twelfth time being can you know what you know? This is? You know what I mean? Like it don't matter because you're all gonna get mad at whatever. Since I made you. You gotta do is make somebody man one time. You know you can donate, you can do whatever, you can
save a life. And they will still bring up in every comment what if you did, yeah you know, not what you did to make it right now? How you moved on from it? Not how you've evolved, not how you've grown. You know what I'm saying, You've changed, Like I was literally five when yeah before Yeah, you know, like I was young, urban hood, that's where I'm from. Like different, you know what I'm saying, Like I have
a son. I'm a single mom, like you know. And and when I say a single mom, because everybody be like his father, He's like, yeah, I don't mean like I meant. Primarily most of that's my Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying. So all of that I have to I have to really really cleanse myself. So like trolls and getting canceled and all of that. Once I realized what is more important than an app on the phone? Yeah, because that's what it is when you think about it.
The Internet is powerful if you let it, if you let it. If you let it, you can't think about it. We started there was no Instagram at one point. Yeah. Culture, Yeah, cancel culture, social culture. Wendy did that? Wendy? Did we understand Wayne doing this? Yeah? Ain't the Wendy? We we need no When did you have to be honest? You know I was a social media I believe you. But I'm saying, like the way it is. Yeah, I'm saying that's all it was, was Wendy, So that's good. You
know what. That's different. And I have to commend you on that because I told you that it was to day I sent her long resage. I said, you are the same person you just said urban single mom, come from the hood. You're the same Jess that you were when you were, but you have evolved in so many
ways that I don't even see that thing. We see each other maybe once every day, and I'm like year every other year when now and I was like, yo, you are really the same person but so different and I can see your evolution and cancel coaches don't give a funk about that. They don't care if you know, they don't care if you're saying, sorry, don't that's why
you gotta funk what the people think about you? What do you think about That's why I swear when the only time I got canceled that really affected me, like I'm telling you, was that religious ship. Because that's not even how that ship went down. You know what that one time it will great, We're not gonna bring it out. Yeah, so um single and uh, something you don't play with because I don't like I'm I don't play with religions my mother yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah never, I
would never play with him. Yeah, I don't play with God. Yeah yeah, you're talking. You know. That's why that bothered me so much, Not even me being at home record messing up Wayne. You know, you know what I'm saying, not me insulting the gate that insulted me first, not me doing nothing else like all the other times. Religion. That's the one that broke me down. Like I really
was crying, damn. You know what I'm saying. It's the only time I'm like, yeah, you doing And then I had to think about it, like I gotta joke about this, Like I was crying on the phone. I was like, I'm sorry, Like I was on the phone. The people that i'd be like, yeah, why would you do this? Why are you holding your phone? So you think about it, like when you see comments like that, like I would
never record myself crying. You don't know what you'll do if you you are in this land and you have this big platform and yes, and the Internet is conditioned everyone, you know, into thinking that this is the per feel like this is how you're supposed to be. You're not supposed to think, you're not supposed to feel, you're not supposed to mess up, and you're not supposed to be perfect. Yeah, you're not supposed to be yourself. You're not supposed to
have any imperfections. You're never You're supposed to do what we say, and that's it. Get rich, but don't get too too rich. Don't put on your slides. You got a problem with your body changing the way you look, but don't get surgery. You know what I'm saying. You look, don't work out too much, you don't want get too skinny, but you know, don't do it. Yeah, that's why you gotta I noticed that going through my things, Like you said, I was crying and people be like, you're not funny,
You're fat. You this you gotta gap your eyebrow. When people question your character, that's like, hold on, now, I'm building I'm really doing this ship, I'm really waking up, doing the function. I'm really working on my character. That's when people question it. It's like you want your fans and the people that you actually love and love you back to love you and trust you. Our fans trust us, you know, so Yeah, that was hard. I was consolutely right, So I gotta and now we're here. Yeah, I got
a question for all y'all. I have so much respect for what you guys do. I couldn't never get my ass up there ever, So, like, how does it feel to be in such like a male dominant space and y'll be killing that killing man? I ain't even old you jokes on on like while I know about me being a man, masking all that, I'm telling you on stage, that's what I am. I'm telling you I'm literally a man. Yeah I'm crazy, but funniest funnies. It's on an old
other level. You know, understand what I'm saying, like not like really a boy because you know, like you like you hanging with him? Who I am I'm hanging It's like that's Jesse, you know, that's who. That's my that was my nickname growing up or whatever. That who I would set outside and joke with my brother and his friends all day. That's why I'm on stage. Niggas got me right, They used to crack on me or yeah you or get you know what I'm saying that since
I was like nine, So that's something. None of this phases y'all. Nowe y'all go home and think about anything they said to you. You say that, hold on, it's still be sometimes you know it can be like yeah, you accept all of you. It really don't get to the saggy. I know that I'm I didn't have these sad things forever. It's I mean, there's nothing else to say.
I think I think for me hearing the same thing I mean, and I hate like real stay reading the same thing like like yeah, I think I think for me because y'all already know me, like I'm just I'm animated, you know, so my thing is physical. I like to I mean say much, but I ain't saying ship. But I got to read my body before all that. But Email you will right, it's literally um head through me every time. Now I know we was in that damn um here and makeup room, Like oh my god, I
want to knock him out so bad. When you know who do that to me? Literally rip you know what? Let me tell you why. I feel like everybody's jokes is legit, like out of love. When Email say something to me, I'm like, he loved me. When when can say something to me? I love when rip say something to me. I'm like, yeah, you want to stop talking to me because he I feel like he wants to
be me. It's not even like love. It's like you're yeah, yeah, I don't get that from you, and I just don't get that from can't wait for somebody to bomb well ripped one sets like that is that email? But I've known how to control it, and I've told myself to clip. The other day, I said, I'm not gonna let none of this give anxiety or give me a headache. Before I do that, I'm going to my room. So for me, I told myself, I said, if email said something one
one more time, of course I'm looking. I think people won't love. You'll understand too when you when you're nagging at somebody and you you just got something to say about something, Let me say something one day. Could see the potential in you. So they're probably like, yeah, I want to say something to you each time you get your ship together. Cool. I get that. But then when this is too much to say, I'm like, yo, if you want my number, you want my room number? Like
what is it? So I could just let you know? Hell know? Is that happening? This season too. Oh no, he has set and he violated and said something. But I didn't let that get to you know. I would have pu the side and said, you know, you know,

I think that's what's important. And I think we can give women and you know people that platform here because we're very, very open and you know, very human. People don't know that it's so much to us than just the skits or the beauty being abund now Godess, it's so much more to you to us, so you know, so yeah, like I said, just has evolved and I'm proud of her and y'all out there, to anybody that's watching,
there's always room for evolution. The person you are now out and the person you were in your past, it's not even the person God created you to be. You still walking towards that person, so constantly evolved, constantly grow and um and make changes. It has great give people the opportunity to do to do to do that too.
You know. The important thing is just be unapologetically you, because that's the thing that that that way of desaone said, walking in your purpose, having grace and just being unapologetically you because you ain't trying to be nobody else but yourself. That is why people love you. This is why people adore you. And even the women they don't have a platform they're trying to get out there with whatever they're trying to do. Is a doctor, lawyer, actress, um, whomever.
I mean, just be unapologetically so breede to Let's just takeaways from Jess because you might we have interacted with her, work with her. You probably don't know her the way we know her. And so was she everything you expected? What did you think? What? Yeah? You know, I I followed her for a long time. She's slutely hilarious. Her name is so fitting for her. So this was really
cool to get to see her another side. Ever, That's what I love about what we're doing here and sitting here and seeing everyone's side, because you don't get to see that. You don't know how like humble and like what she's been through and just like how she processes things and the spirituality so much beauty to her.
