Welcome to the Women a While, and now a podcast where ladies a while and out control the mike. It's our world from our perspective.
I'm your girl, Justina Valencine. I got my two very talented sisters, be Simone and Pretty V. And we're in the building and you know, what's the ladies running the world? So what's up sis? What's going on? What they do? What they do? What they do? Because I'm boy, so be Your voice sounds so scratchy? What you've been up to? You said me? Or b you when I tell you? I just came up from Colorado, like like I was out there? So what was you doing in Colorado? Just
hanging out? Like I needed it? Like? So I worked with I worked with my Yellow, this big beauty brand, and she's always like we did Cobbo last year and she was like yeah, I want to go on Colorado, like girl, let's too So I packed my three city and pack my two city trains, three city trains and luggages. It's so that city trying. And I went out there and had the time of my life. Yeah. I needed I needed, I needed it. I love it. I've seen you working in the Oh my god, you look so cute. Y'all.
Got to ving this page and see that video because it's so funny, my cardless, So my god. You know, literally be in the bed laughing at Venus videos out loud. You know, when you're comment on somebody's video l O L or the laugh at emojis and you're not even laughing, right you just I really be watching Vina like, oh
my god, Oh she is solf funny. Um, so be you understand when I sent you that video, I was just like, let I have to say it to be because I already First of all, y'all, Vina is so annoying. She was like, what'soud my caption be? I'll give her a whole caption fire emojis, dot dot dot explanation, point space bar, space bar. She I go to the post. Don't use none of my ship. You know what's funny be because you're captions do be really long. So I'm like, I know, I don't give her captions no more, don't
ask me for ship. What's your caption? Because she's I don't be some own nerves like this, but like girl, what she's doing. You're like, girl, you just called me for like one thing. We already talked about that. Now girl said, how your day? It's like, Vina, get off my phone. I'd be like, v I have to go. I called her when she was in Colorado. No, she called me checking in. He was, you know, catching up or whatever. I'm okay, girl, I love you like I'm
about to go to bed, okay, but what you doing Vina? Nothing, I'm going to sleep okay, but don't hang up on me. If you hang up with me like this, disk like like we are really friends with three girl. So yeah, you always like to be on the phone. V You always stay on the FaceTime. He's always love it. But my day, my weekend, and my week has been phenomenal. I mean, how y'all, how y'all doing? Justina? What's going on? How Jersey? I'm doing good. I know it looks a
little crazy. I mean, people can't see, but you'all can see. I'm in my little production room. So it's like a lot going on the here. It's a little cramp, but Jersey is good. It's little cold, got a little snow, but I know you're coming out here soon, so I can't wait to link up with you. Like you said, you can't bring the tims and the bubble, don't embarrass me. Come out and beat up. I beat that Friday. I'm
in the city. You feel him in the town. But I'm talking, okay, being a cytha, running cheese chop cheesy and speaking of speaking in New York. Are our guests from New York today, so I know, yeah, hersho some Harlem. Her she grew up in brookly In, so I know she knows how to move around all those New York streets. Once to introduced our guests, I'm excited that she's here. I've never met her. I can't wait to meet her. All right, honey, we got day nap Johnson. I'm not
thinking on this a while, not podcast. I'm excited to hear more about this. You know, so that what's going on? Said hello? You know, since they never the building to meet said stand up comting hosts in Hello, how are you doing? Na? I am good, Hey ladies. How y'all stand up comeding host actress? Right up? Okay, you know, just trying to just trying to create generational Well I know you're right, that's what's up. Are you right? How are you feeling? That's what's up? I feel really good. Actually,
I mean it's early in the morning. I don't know what. We'll just just sink you're in Jersey. I don't know what everybody, Yeah, but I'm in l A. So with the Okay, are you based out there? Yeah? Okay, okay, we're in Atlanta with it. So, like you're on set right now? Is now? Are you working today? Yeah? I am on set, but I'm in like, I mean just one of their like conference rooms, like one of the production office conference rooms. Yeah. Yeah, Well you are so
funny and talented. Like I was watching um one of the sets you did on the Late Night Show and you were talking about how you were in like second grade, and I think your mom was on her ten kid and you were like, nah, you was like I sat my mom down. It was like you have to get your tubes tied. And you're like, I don't know how I knew that in second grade. Yeah, when I'm like the second grade that wasn't Google, you know that. So that means I opened up in Encyclopedia and was like,
we gotta fix this problem. So the people that don't know zay Nap, tell us about yourself. Um, pretty we did a bomb ass introduction. But so the people that don't know your story, where you're from, what you do in this entertainment world, just give us a little bit of background of who you are. I am. I was born in New York. I was born in Brooklyn. I grew up in Harlem. Um. I moved to l A like shortly after college. I um, and I moved. I didn't know I was gonna be a comedian. I'm gonna
stand in the comedian I love it. Um And I didn't know I was going to be a comedian. But my best friend at the time was moving to l A. She was trying to be a rapper, and she was like, I'm gonna move to l A and be famous. And I'm like, damn, my candlea, He'll be famous without me. And so that's what got me. You know, when you're from New York, Um New York in l A. Comedy from East coast to West coast. Every place is different.
Me being the center comedian. You could say a joke in New York heat, you say it in l A. They're like, that's not funny out here. Like what what coast do you like better? You like more l A vibe or New York vibe? Like with the audience, I can't You're gonna say New York because right, no, No, New York is like New York is built for comedy, you know what I'm saying. Like they go there, they
built for comedy. They and they like funny. They don't care who you are, but they just like to be you know, l A is you know free, single thing, Like comedy is just like a subset of life, right and so l A what they'd be bougee out here. They'd want to look good, you want to be with
the celebrity. So that's gonna exist everywhere. So sometimes people at a comedy show in l A. I remember, even when I did the old death taping, the thing that I hated about that taping was and you know the whole part of like HBO Russell's brand at the time
was like models cute whatever. But it's like you can't feel like you're too cute to laugh, Like that's no fun, it's no feel what I'm saying, Yeah, I just I like, I don't care where you're Like, one of my best shows is in Ohio because they were just they're ready like to like, we're not ship else going on since make us laugh? Yeah, that's my problem. On the first day, I'm not afraid to laugh, So I'd like, like, it's relax the cute. Ain't nothing going on in Ohio. Okay,
Toledo ain't no baby. So I know you did a good job doing that them shows out there, bubo, but no, um, can I call you zel? Like it's harder for women in comedy to be successful, and especially being a woman
of color. How do you feel about that? Yeah, I mean absolutely, Like it's very I mean even women, like guys can get up on stage and talk about their dicks, they could, you know what I'm saying, They could be really raunchy and nasty and all of that stuff, and women the moment they do it, it's kind of like
perceived is you know, like, oh, she ain't funny. But I think I think if you think about it like a numbers game, right, Like I don't think people realize this, but like you see a hundred guys and three of them are not funny, then you're not gonna think like, oh, men are not funny, right, because you see ninety seven
guys that you think are funny. But if you only see three women and you think all three of them are funny, then you think a hundred percent of women are not funny, you know, And so I just I just think that that's like it's just a people don't realize that they're seeing way less of us. And then out of three women, you're lucky. If you see on a on the main stage, you're lucky. If you see a woman of color, right right, you're lucky. If you
see three women. I feel like there's always that a stage full of guys and then they put one girl. I'm like, yeah, if you if you see three women, it's a ladies night, it's a lady's night tour or whatever. It's Valentine's Day, it's Mother's Day, you know what it is. We're here with zay Nab and she is giving us so many jewels and we're loving it. But y'all don't move. We'll be right back and we're gonna talk about censorship and where's the best place to do commed yet? What's up, y'all?
We're back with zaynab Be Simone, pretty v I'm your girl, Justina Valentine and you know, we'd love to see it. Strong woman in the building, killing it and rapping for the ladies. And she is such an interesting backstory, so let's just keep getting in to it. Z being like Muslim, did your family ever have a problem with you, like maybe telling certain jokes if it was a little sexual or if you want to dress a little risk a or were they just always understanding of it? Yeah, yeah,
my family is pretty understanding. I talk about my family on stage all the time. So they like it. They they they be just trying to get into jokes, you know, like they don't they want to be celebrated on stage. But when I was younger, my dad used to give me a hard time. Like I used to try and like take off my key mar I would wear like short sleeve shirts and my dad used to give me a hard time. But he passed away, so now I
could bop my pussy. If your family come to your shows though, like your older families, you don't get scared of if you have like a sexual joke and your mom is there, your older brother, or you don't get uncomfortable. That's a struggle for me. No, No, I don't get no. I mean, listen, I am whoaii. I mean I feel like we lived. There's no other time like now where every body like more freedom than any other time that has ever existed for us to be who we are.
And you take it or you leave it. And I think there's just like pressured that, like your family is the end begins all and end all of everything, and they're not like if my mom don't like something, it's like, okay, mom, I love you, you my mom, but I'm about to do this show. That's how I am too, though, like I don't know what's telling you. Yeah, well, also, my mom got thirteen kids, so if she pretends like she don't know what fucking iss like, it's like, come on, lady,
come on, you've been there. Yeah, you was getting it in like you said, at least someone was like, oh, your parents was having a lot of sexts. You're like, I don't know, but at least thirteen times, Yeah, my mom come to my show at all, because what I will be hear in song on the way back to the house. So I just rather say, Okay, you need to Genesis one and one in the beginning you started at the time, Yeah, exactly, And she don't even come to my show. So see what motivates you, like, what's
your what's your like, what's what keeps you motivating this business? Um? I really do feel like I have something to say, Like I feel like the conversation is never quite um, like if we talk about like legacy and stuff like that, I just feel like there's not like an accurate, accurate representation of like all that exists. I know we say women of color, but I'm gonna just say black women, UM if that's okay. I just feel like we always have feel like it include everybody and it's like, no,
this is something very specific to us. UM. I don't know. I just feel like the conversation is always like, uh, not level properly, And I just feel like I have, um something special to add to that in that that motivates me. And then when people confirm it, I'm just like Okay, I'm gonna keep going. And when you just get something. Do you have a boyfriend. I don't have a boyfriend. You got a girlfriend? No? I don't. No, I don't have a girlfriend. You said something really funny
one of your sets. You were like, Um, you like how you look that though you never know you in there. You were like, um, you're like, I wish you could pick if you want to be gay. You were like, because then this wouldn't be a comedy show, be a ted talk. You said, I'm a black woman, I'm Muslim, and if I was gay, imagine that. And I thought that was because you know, damn she okay, because you know, um, you know the industry. I'm sure y'all be in meetings.
Y'all be in meetings and they be asking y'all what y'all want to do and what you want to make and did it. They'd be looking at your numbers and then they be they break us, They break us down to statistics, you know, and it just is what it is. It's like, Oh, we're gonna reach a black demo, the female demo, the Muslim demo, the gay demo. Get this lady a show you show. Yeah, they don't care what the show was about. But they you know, demos are
like dollar signs, so it's like who killing to reach. Yeah, would you have a type in someone that you look to date or a comedian? Yes, I probably won't date a comedian because well, one you, I feel like you gotta be funnier than me. Okay, yeah, because you know, we got a lot of my friends are you know, male comedians, and I think that they're it's like they're either my friends or you gotta be funnier than me. And I just I don't know. I just comedians like
we're we're toxic. Can I say that? I mean, yeah, yeah, I think you harder. We put everything in our comedy. Yeah, I think you have to be to find a humor and everything that's so like in all the ugliness, to find a humor, there has to be something, you know. So no, also, comedians, let's be honest, ladies, comedians we broke at a certain level. Are we talking about Kevin
Hart or the guy that's up and coming? Yeah? You you you really, you really gotta believe And I'm past that point of like, you know, believing in potential, like in my dating life on past the like he got potential, y'all. Yeah, and he gotta he gotta. He can be mad when they booked, when you book and it's like, all right, so she's doing like watching cartoons like what we on, like we just did a whole show, like you straight like, yeah,
you're playing the game a game. But but I will date another artist, like you don't have to be a comedian because I just don't want to share that space with you. But I'll date an artist, like I'll date a musician or like a writer a little one sava rappers, rap rap raps. You don't have so much damn fucking content Z. But does your does your husband or whoever you make date has to be Muslim? Do they have to be equally yoked? Or could it be a Christian?
Could it be Buddha? They could be Christians? Like yeah, my husband could be Christians. I mean that's the depend if they really, if they slapping that Bible in my face every single day, then it's not gonna work because you know, you know, like it would be easy if they were Muslim. But I'm kind of open to like, as long as you believe in God, I don't think I could take nobody, just like, no, it's just me because I controlled when you are your face, what's gonna happen?
Oh I could control a little. Yeah, okay, Yeah. What's your love language? Do you know I had a talk with my uber driver yesterday about this is the one you give it? So that's when you get okay, So that there's five leve languages, y'all. There's a book out on it. Words of affirmation, quality time, um, physically touch. What are the other two? Gifts and acts of service? I thought that was what's your number one? Um? I was gonna say, I'm kind of selfish, like I need
all of those things. Um, but I think the thing I think the first thing that I could I think the biggest thing for me is probably quality time. Really yeah, and then I yeah, and then I think the thing that I could give up. Of course, first are like gifts I could give that. Yeah yeah, if he had everything else and he just can't give me nothing, it's like I'm working, Yeah, we could get it. Number one of his words of affirmation. Yeah, I love just you're
doing good. I'm so proud of you. Like just what I'm an aries too. March twenty Okay, that's that's it. I don't need words of affirmation. I mean, I don't want you like verbally abusing me. But I'm so like, um confident, I'm I'm I don't I don't want to say hilf no, but I'm I'm really self sufficient, Like I'm really self sufficient, Like can you do it? I could do it? Like like I'm really so and I'm really aware, like I know when I can't do something.
I know, so I don't really need somebody to tell me that I can't do something. I'm like, Okay, that doesn't really motivate me because I love I love, I love words affirmation. But you can slide me that gift first though you feel me, and then we can haul I'm I'm gonna leave so you know, gift you're annoying. Do you have any bad dating stories, e like, just a crazy dating story that you ever put in a set or a bad I'm sure I've had a bad
dating story right now. I'm talking about a guy who I really liked and he was Muslim, um the and he but he had a small deck and that was wasn't hard. It was hard. It was hard to like you can just be like Okay, do this do that? You know? Yeah, it's it's crazy too because he didn't think he had a small deck, so he you know, yeah, but and it was like eating it was misleading to because he has such a nice body and beautiful ads.
You know, when you have like eight pack, you just feel like that V is going to lead to something. Do you think he really didn't know it was small or do you think he was just like making up for his lack of confidence that he just had to act like he thought he had something good going on down there. No, I really I think he really didn't know it was small. Really. Yeah, yeah, it was quite surprising because I was like when you when you say small,
like like like how like how small? Like like noticeably noticeably small enough where I kind of let out a scream when I said, I was like, yeah, yeah, he probably scream the wrong way. The scream was. Are you the type of person that if you see it's small, you're like, we're not doing this? Are you like it? I gotta do it? We already here. I'm not we
already here, but I'll try. I'll try to find the way to say like I gotta love you first before I could even do it, so I'm already invested when I find out really yeah, I'm like, I'm real, like, oh, I gotta have the strongest feelings for you to even be like sexually attract good to you. So it's like, yeah, so I'm stuck. It's like that's why I screamed because it's scary, like, oh man, I'm about to already. Let you'll do it. Did you guys do it? Yeah? We did it. Y'all did it, and like it was it.
I had sex in seven months until you did it and then I quit it and then like he hit it and then it did it and then you know, we we were seeing each other, so we did it, and I faked it because I have feelings for him. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. His feelings you never here when he hears this, or did did you end up telling him just enough? Yeah? Because so, so
I faked it. And then right after because he got so confident after the faking, he was really and then I had to be like, we'll hold on this second. Let's let's calibrate, let's let's let me, let's take back. Let me tell you what happens. Take it back take it back in front of see where he from, where he's from? Where people? No, I can't don't give filling from queens. So I wanted I had a little Queen's boat. Hey, Jason, be too much? Yeah, Queen's. I don't never go to
queen Let's to the airport. Wait. So okay, what what was they saying about the masturbation thing? Oh right, they said you have to joke about masturbation. Yeah, yeah, because be Simone has never came in her life. Oh sorry, b really yeah, never had an orgasm and I never masturbated because I tried to masturbate one day and then I like put on a roade. My friend was like light some candle, drink some line, like getting the mood. Girl. I felt like it was me and Jesus on the date.
I was like, you know what, you know what? I felt like Jesus was watching, like bitch watching when I'm doing it too, he'd be watching. If you're watching, I don't feel my neck like I felt like that deal though, Jesus is on my neck, you need to go on. And I was too close to my prayer corner. But I looked at my right, I said, right, honey. When I remember when I was like in my grandmother she
looking at me like this in the picture. Friend, okay, let me move you out the way, Lady so Ze tell us about it's about the master story, my st My story was a similar as yours actually, like I felt the same way, and I had a girl as to be and tell me. She was like, um, oh, how you expect the guy to please you if you don't know how to please yourself? Yeah, And then I did the same thing. I waited And it was in New York. It was I was in college and it was a snowy day so we didn't have to go out.
See you know what I'm saying, Like every school was canceled everything, And I was like this is the time. I turned on the music and then I just started I just started thinking like them, do I have to pay that light buil? Did I pay my electric bill? Like That's what I just started thinking about in my life. Yeah. And that was like right after my father passed away. So I was like, oh my god, he's what he's
so disappointed. It was like that all of that same associated with no, it's okay, how did you get past that? Like when was the first successful masturbation. Of course. So I was in a relationship and he moved to Atlanta and uh so we were long distance for a little while, and he he actually brought me a master. He brought me a masturbated he I don't even know how to call mastural. No, not a vibrator. He bought me like a little um, the little the little thing, the little thing, yeah,
a little bullet or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. And I actually I still don't masturbate because again, I gotta love you, so I gotta think you know, how people be thinking about their fantasy. Like if I don't got somebody in my mind that I loved, then it's I'm not ain't nothing with that. That's how I feel. I'm like, yeah,
we'll have it. Ever, was doing somebody that y'all was talking to, and you would think about your ex in your mind to like how they was doing it, even thought about that, But I didn't did that said because I be with you because I don't thinking about the last one. I just said. She was choking and I'm like, like, why are you here on top of me? Like so I was like, okay, I don't really like you sir, I hate when being a talk about sex. I hate it. Why because I don't see her like that. I see
her like a little innocent, fun, goofy child. And she'd be like, yeah, we was doing it. I'm like, I don't want to hear that nasty he You don't need to be having to me the same age. It doesn't matter you act twelves. So see what's next for you and your career. What are you trying to manifest? You don't know manifest queen. Let me help you manifest. I gonna give you a good energy, not that you need everything one you get in, but I can always seen you some good vibes. Oh, I love it, and I'll
take all the vibes, all of them. Yes, I'm manifesting a one hour special. Oh, come on. I think the world is ready for it, and I'm definitely ready to give it. Yeah, I'm gonna sell a show based on my life, you know, a scripted half hour comedy, um and yeah, and I feel like it's going you know, I feel like the show that I'm going to make is gonna, like, you know, be culture changing, culture shifting. So because I just I feel like what I'm trying
to show we ain't seen on TV yet. So hello, Hello, and if you need, if you need any if you need anybody to be in a budega in the corner is nothing. Just called me and be let me this year, just be the waitress. Here's your water, ma'am. Y'all listen, y'all are so talented and great. Y'all, y'all be more than welcome. Look, I thought you're gonna say, do your own ship. Yeah, you're not so talented. I'm sure you're blessing.
Don't come down. We got we gotta we have. We gotta do ship together, like I think that's you know we got we have to give us Yeah, yeah, me and just just seen in the boat day the chips. We're good to go, girl story. Okay, okay, we're gonna see you to give. But I have one more question before you're gonna give us a quote before you go, um think about that. But my last question is how long have you been doing stand up? I believe this
year it will be eleven years. Twelve I started. I started, so this year okay, at the end of it, twelve years. Yeah you got please, that's your schedule. I swear I will pull up. I want to see a show. I get so inspired by seeing women on stage inspired. I got another question. I got another question. How long you've been growing your hair? Um my hair? I started growing it back in two seventeen. I think, oh, yeah, how long you how I'm airring them like, I not even
care about that. I just want to think that you ask a question wasting time. I wanted to know how long you've been doing stand up? Because you know, I asked about stand up because you know it's not a fear anymore. But I definitely do get panicky and anxiety and nervous before I get on stage. He used to be fearful, like I used to throw up and ship, but now I'm like, okay, I try to. I'm learning
to fight through it. So it inspires me. Like when I see just hilarious or a pretty v or whoever on stage you want to stand up, I'm like, I just look like this is not easy, so for you to even get up there, I love to see other women do that. So that's why I asked how long have you been doing in it? And I would love love to come to a show. It just inspires me. Yeah,
I mean it's not easy. But also I think with like you and pretty being just hilarious, people know who you guys are before they come see you perform, right, and so there's a part of it it's like they're they're rooting for you. But there's also a part of it where you have to meet their expectations and that can be very easy, and they're testing you. Yeah, they come in they'd be like, is this a bit funny.
I'm like, yeah, yeah, you know. So definitely had moments where it's like a little cricket it's like, okay, I need to punch that up. Yeah. But I mean I definitely get nervous all the time. And you know what, this will be my quote. It's actually not my quote. It comes from Beyonce, but I always think about it Beyonce. Be Like Beyonce said when she, you know, was first getting big, she was like, if you're not nervous, then you don't care. M Okay, Okay, that's so true. So
if you're not nervous, you don't care. When you stop getting nervous and stop caring, you need to figure out something else to do. But because I'm always nervous going on the stage, I'm always nervous. When I got the phone with if A Nickel called me on what did I do? But I'm nervous, stay nervous, like what's going on? What I did? Like you know, we love we love you to meet you this way and see the side
of you. And I'm on your Instagram right now, ground and type of ding and tell everybody out here I'm looking at you when they can find you at Z like you know all that, what's coming, what's up next? Like you gotta know you so you're doing all you manifesting everything that you want. But like tell people when they can find you ad and all that good stuff. Yeah, well March eleventh, you guys can watch the second season of the show Upload, which is on Amazon. That's the
show that I'm on. So March eleventh, Um, you can find me on social media or social media platforms ain't that Johnson Z A I and a B. Johnson website is ain't that Johnson? And my website has all my dates, so you know, check out my website to see when I'm coming to your city, because I'm a treat to see live. I pay I'm gonna treat to see unless your links your Instagram, everybody. I'm on your Instagram right now. But tell us where everybody? She said. She said, I'll
say it again. I'll say it again. She did, Well, I kind of hate to say that, because you know what I said. I got to meet this Beauty Today podcast and it ain't popping up those pieces. If they'd have Johnson so z a I n A B and then Johnathan Okay, thank you, yea, what is it? Z A NA say no, she said, I got it. I've been a well, yeah, thank you. You know. Funny story. I auditioned for a while and now, oh talk to me. Audition and then they kicked me off and it was like,
you're not kidding. Brought my ass back. Let me tell you why I did the first of all, I'm let's tell my story before you get off. I lied. I lied to get off. I lied to get on the show. I said, d co Fly my cousin, and Carlos Miller my uncle. How have it gonna work? It's gonna work. I got on the They told me to be myself. I didn't muskit theme, peanup, mama, all these different things they knew me. And now then they said, can you
wrap so we did a rapping game. I did all that, can I find that I ain't get a call back. I never got a call back, so then be smone. Just everybody got feeling like where are you at? I'm like, girl, why did I have any call you? On the plane they flying me, I said that to say that, because of course I lied, and then you know whatever, but I say that it wasn't my time, it wasn't my
season to do that. So they called me back two seasons later, and I've been on the show since then, but at that time, I was like, oh, I got it. I got it. I'm going like not and they're like, okay, you show. They're like, well know I think you. I think you gotta have a special set of skills to be successful on that show. So so don't ever take it for granted. But my audition was definitely like, um, do stands up? And I did stands up and they was feeling, I'm I'm very confident in my stands up.
They're like, okay, this is one of the while and now get you know. I felt like they enjoyed myself, like I felt like I got them with my stands up and then they was like, okay, this is a game. Play this, You're gonna play this game. And then I played the game and they was like okay, cool. And then they was like rapp and they gave me a scenario and I was like, all right, you on stage with Kevin Hard and he just said this and now go And I was like, you are too short. What
are you talking? Say that's what I'm doing. I said nothing. I was like, I'm gonna just I'm gonna just go. Was it a big guy? What is it a big guy in on this sh and he had like he was a stuffy dude. It he's it was done. It was definitely don't do that. He was was because now I'm scared to shout. My god. Me and Bena cried every fucking night. It was nice talking to you. We love you, black sister. You keep doing your thing, keep
being confident, can being saucy, and keep breaking down these walls. Honey. When the enemy tell you know, baby, God said yes, so let's go. Yes, ye see, thank you for coming. I can't. I'm definitely gonna come see you in New York and just keep killing the game. You are so funny and I know you're just gonna take your career like all the way killing it. So thank you for being a guest. We appreciate you. Thank you, thank you,
lady love huge shout. We really apreciate her coming through and just imparting her wisdom here and the women a while and out podcasts and we'll be right back after this great keep alock all right, you guys, we are back with the woman. While in that podcast, yo z, I love zs energy like she is so love so beautiful inside. It's so confident that you gotta be confident to be a comedian. You gotta believe in your jokes to yourself. And I cannot wait to see her live.
I'm gonna make that, um you know, a goal to see her live about you. You feel like you're gonna You're specially gonna get one of those in I want. I'm you know, I'm working on it. I think it's time to work towards it. And I'm not saying it's time to just throw anything out, but I want to work towards it. I would love to shoot my special in London. I just show over there in for New Years. I did London and we sold out. It was like four hundred people. There was literally like two hundred people
outside the tre me like Beyonce. When I was over there, I was like, I didn't even do this, and then like, you know, but um, I want to do I want to go over to London. I loved by the energy, the people. I want to do it over there, have a camera crew over there and film it and see what happens. I might drop it myself. I might drop it on my app or a website, or you know, I might hit up L O L network or hit up shit Time, hit up Nick. I don't know, you know, but I want to film it and get it out
sooner than later. But I'm working on it. You know, you never when you're working on something big like that, you know you ready, you know, and even when you feel like you ready, always feel like you can fix it. So you gotta get that out of your mind. Like you gotta set. You got an hour, put it together, put it out. I'm sure Kevin Hurt's first set wasn't the most phenomenal set ever, but he put it together
and put it out. So congratulations to z On. You know, even working special that's a big deal in her and jazz, which is one of our friends. Like she She's definitely that's her go to. Like everybody's just working towards something. I love it, Justina, would you ever try stand up? I would yeah, I think yeah, like when I when
I go and do like colleges and stuff. Um, you know, I do the stand up more as like a hosting thing, like I just freestyle, like I'll be talking to people in the crowd, like I don't have like set jokes that I do. But it was one time Con and Brip we're both like an hour late, and I basically did like forty minutes of just being up there saying anything like I did a whole twork contest and I was just you know, messing with the kids in the class and long as time, yes, because I still wanted
to get the back. But and then one time I wrote a couple of jokes. It was me Con and hit Man, and I did like a little like um tem fancy mans. I would definitely do it because you know, I like, I like being on stage. Um. I would definitely want to like sit with some of my peers that do that for real and punch it up and
all that. But I would definitely consider it. You know, I think I like better to do the host thing like bring up the real stand up comedians, the whole headliner right right right, But I would when you do with the do you do it more hosting or you do like a set like be ho like but but I but I do. It's a set that requires hosting though, so you have to have a couple of jokes to order to make sure that yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but I'm doing a different this way. I'm doing it my way.
I really thought, like when I was in my last Chicago show with Ricky Smiling and all these dope legends, I thought it was like amazing because me and d Ray did it together. But also, like I've been watching so many like of Martin Lawrence, we needed deaf jam, like just all these different people that I love and admire, and like, you know, I'm gonna do it my way.
So I gotta show cun up with be with me and Bruce booson Low Duval, and I think it's gonna be amazing because I'm gonna just like really and truly, like really work on my hosting set and really do something where it's like it's me, like I'm gonna literally bring myself that I do in my kitchen on set, like I have to do that. Like when I thought about it when I was sitting and I was like, I don't give if I gotta rent a table out in in where we at Innnapolis, I'm gonna have that
big I'm gonna throw that sht on the stage. You feel me, and just if you like, I want to do it my way, and I even want it to be after my Chicago show and I loved it so bad, like so much to be in front of these people
and be beside them. But I was like, so much that I have to do to make sure I'm comfortable on stage, Like I don't even got to be cute on stage, Like I don't even gotta be fly down, like I would come in with my damn booty shorts on a wife beta and whatever because I'm hosting, you know, so yeah, you gotta do what you're comfortable with. But
I think I'm with you on that. I'd rather do that, like the hosting stuff to like you know, beat someone and Jesse and how long how and now Martin was doing that death coming for like a long time, right hosting that, Yeah, because I heard they heard they to throw that at to Chris Rock, and Chris Rock was like, not after Martin, you know? So yeah, So I literally been watching all that on my thing, like, yo, let me see what I could do different. So yeah, I'm
proud of you think I'm proud of y'all. I'm proud of Z and Z. We had an amazing show today with her, y'all. This is the Women a While, our podcast I'm Your Girl, be some, I got my girl Pretty We and just in a Valencinee. You'all next time. Love you,
