The MATB boys are back in triple threat formation and Connor Bedard is taking over the NHL. The Hawks are back from their trip to Florida and the league looks a lot different from when they left. The PWHL also released their jerseys for their inaugural season.
In what can certainly be called one of the looser episodes of MATB, the boys are back at full strength as they go through the Blackhawks' recent happenings (including the latest on the pending lawsuit against the franchise), the downfall of the Edmonton Oilers, and the smashing success that was season 2 of Shoresy.
With Dane sidelined due to injury, Joey and Leo man the wheel and try to keep on keeping on. After some obligatory 'Hawks talk, the boys go around the league and jump into some of the biggest stories from the past week of NHL action.
Frozen Frenzy has set the hockey world ablaze and the MATB Boys break it down from their perspectives. Then things get a little testy as the crew breaks down the most recent Blackhawks action. The show wraps up with the NHL's decision to backtrack on their "pride tape ban" after Travis Dermott called the league's bluff.
The Blackhawks beat the Maple Leafs, and the boys revel in the demise of the team from Toronto. Then, they sweep around the league to check in on the NHL from Sunrise to Seattle before closing with the rumors that the NHL draft will shift away from its personable nature in the coming years.
Powering through adversity, the boys are back to talk about the beginning of the Blackhawks' season before jumping into other incredibly relevant topics including Brother Rice lunch room culture and the illustrious career of Miles Wood.
With out Leo, Joey and Dane try to keep the show at least somewhat coherent. They analyze the Blackhawks as they wrap up their preseason before checking out headlines from around the NHL. They close with some CHEL news and some future bets that prove to be more eco-friendly than flushing your money down the toilet while ultimately achieving the same goal.
To finish off the MATB season previews, the boys head out west to look at how the Central and Pacific division will shape up in the upcoming season.
