PEACE WITH THE PAST PODCAST EPISODE 57

Hello! And welcome to Move Into Coherence. I'm your host, Pamela Stokes. In today's episode we'll be starting with part one of Making Peace with the Past. We're going to use three different EFT Tapping scripts beginning with Peace with the Past, and then we'll be doing Resentments and then Regrets. So I hope you'll stick with me as we do these over the next few weeks together.

You can use any of the acupoints that you're familiar with, or you can simply spread your hand and place your thumb underneath one collarbone and your fingers underneath the other one.

So let's begin. Say out loud or in your mind, I'm willing to heal the past, and notice what you feel. How true is it? 

And we'll begin by taking three calming breaths through the nose and deep into the lungs:  inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, and exhale. And repeat after me:

Even though part of me resists healing, I choose to love and accept myself anyway. 

Even though part of me is not ready to make peace with the past, I choose to love and honor myself.

Even though I have this resistance to healing, I choose to deeply and completely love honor and accept myself, and maybe anyone else who has taught me to be so resistant. Part of me says I need this armor, if I let some of this go, even if I look at it, I might be in more danger.

All of this resistance to healing 

all this resistance to healing

all this fear of healing

all this fear that if I let some of this go,

I'm going to be hurt 

I've been hurt in the past 

and part of me is convinced 

that the only thing that keeps me safe now 

is holding on to these memories

holding on to this pain 

oh, sure, it causes a lot of misery too 

it blocks me from all kinds of opportunities 

it may be robbing me of health, wealth, and happiness 

but I love and appreciate that part of me 

that has become convinced 

that I'm safer this way 

and I'm allowing myself to relax 

and really look at what's necessary 

what do I really need to hang on to 

and what can I let go 

and I choose to have more faith in myself 

I choose to be willing to heal 

I choose to know that I can handle healing 

I can handle the freedom that comes with that 

I can handle this 

I've handled everything else that's happened in my life 

maybe not always as gracefully as I would have liked 

but I'm still here 

which means I've handled it 

I can handle healing 

I'm allowing myself to be willing to heal 

in body, mind, and spirit 

And now let's take a breath in through the nose deep into the lungs and on the exhale with closed lips, Sigh of Relief.

And feel inside, and rate your willingness to heal now, and check in and see if you have noticed any shifts, and continue as needed. Thanks for joining in!
