Episode description

In this Offbeat episode of Mountain Murders, we dive into the history of the infamous Stanley Hotel in Colorado's Estes Park. The hotel was originally built by a wealthy tycoon named Freelan Stanley who vacationed in the Rockies to treat his consumption. By the 1970s, the hotel had fallen into disrepair. Author Stephen King was inspired to write two novels after staying there. The hotel reportedly is haunted. It remains a huge attraction for paranormal fans.
