In 2001, a college student named Clara Schwartz is consumed with online role playing games going as far as creating her own called Underworld. Calling herself Lord of Chaos, Clara creates a scenario where her father Dr. Robert Schwartz, a renowned DNA scientist, is the enemy. Blurring the lines between reality and fiction, Clara meets a troubled young man named Kyle Hulbert.
18 year old Kyle was emancipated from state custody where he'd spent his youth in and out of foster homes and psychiatric facilities. Kyle, a self proclaimed "vampire" was also heavy into role playing. His friendship with Clara seems perfect--until she starts manipulating Kyle through Underworld. The game ends with deadly consequences.
